My MBF is DH yesterday. I was being a little grumpy because it was CD2 (and maybe I thought I was special snowflake). DH says he things we are BDing too soon and have to keep doing it after I O. I just looked at him like Umm, nope. I wish I had a good "you know nothing, Jon Snow" gif, but I'm on mobile and it's hard. I feel like I need to give him an education session.
I gotchu.

@soemthingcleverI'm so sorry to hear about the way your morning started!!
@rainbowturtlesThis is my first year ever having a real Christmas tree and I can't believe how fast they go through water! Everyone warned me to make sure it has enough water but it's easy to slip your mind.
@lulu1180Hopefully your sister realizes now that she should select her words a little more wisely.
@thebookisbetterIf I am lucky enough to get KU I think I'm going to pretend (even if i'm miserable) that I have the best most amazing pregnancy to all my friends who complain like that. Like "oh you had kankles and threw up everyday? I feel amazing, I remember how much your pregnancies really sucked".
@adirat Referring the summer BMB: That's almost as bad as being out at a restaurant and seeing a clearly pregnant women drinking. I know there are very conflicting opinions on drinking while pregnant but it makes me feel so uncomfortable and sad. Also, your mom… I can't EVEN.
@midsomervillageMy best friend and her husband live in Denver and they have been in the same situation for a year now. They sold their house in hopes of buying something bigger and have been renting ever since because they either get out bid or the houses in the price range are complete gut jobs. I feel horrible for them and my DH and I are about to start house hunting ourselves (not in Denver) but I'm already stressed out about it.
@jess0211 The story about your DH reminds me of something I do lol. If I get my mind set on finding something it eats me alive until I know where it is, I was tearing through the house the other day looking for my boots and after about 15 minuets of me yelling "where are my boots", my husband gets up and found them immediately.
So today was my first day at my new job (yay!) but it was also a TOTAL cluster. First, HR couldn't figure out if I was an exempt or non-exempt employee which impacted the orientation training I was supposed to have. Then, the benefits representative didn't mention anything what so ever about FMLA and I didn't want to out right ask because I am a little on edge about my employer knowing I am thinking about TTC. Thankfully another women there did ask and the benefits rep said that wasn't her area and we would have to call someone else to ask questions. Ummm isn't that what this 2 week orientation is supposed to cover?! THEN we were required to go to a totally different building the second half of the day which took wayyy longer then it should have and left me with literally 5 minuets to eat lunch. So I inhaled my lunch in the hallway outside the orientation room and felt like crap the rest of the day.
TW loss mentioned @adirat I am only on cycle 3, but it pisses me off I couldn't carry my pregnancy to term, yet I have met women who smoked, drank and were very unhealthy throughout their full successful pregnancy.
I have had less than 10 drinks all year, never used drugs my entire life and excercise often. So I am right there with you being pissed off.
ETA: I am sitting here eating my dinner of brown rice, organic broccoli, chicken pineapple sausage (also organic), and spinach....wondering doesn't f***ing matter?
My BFF last weekend (the one who swears she got pregnant first try by doing a headstand) said, "well, at least you know you can get pregnant." While I know she was trying to be supportive, I wanted to throat punch her at that moment.
@Dilynne I hate when people (my SIL) drag their feet, then get mad when you move on without them in order to get shit done. I'm sorry you have to deal with that. You did what you had to do.
@Jess0211 Men are so bad about not looking for things. I'm generalizing, I know. But it's so annoying. Plus he wasn't respecting your time.
@adirat Wow. Sorry about your mom. I'm glad she's learned though. I get so upset when people say things like, "My son has Autism because God is punishing me." NO. It's totally random. A complete asshole can have multiple healthy babies on accident and a wonderful person can have none. It's totally random. Feng shui won't fix it. Positive thinking won't either. You're doing everything you can, so don't let her get you down.
@rainbowturtles I can't imagine how painful that is. I wouldn't blame you for taking the card down. Also you're a beast for re-doing your tree. There is no way...
@lulu1180 I would have been pissed too. Some people are so insensitive. She's not a stranger, she's your sister. She should know better.
I have had 4 instances of extreme left nipple pain in the last week, two were today. I know it's not TTC related (way too early), but by goodness it is excruciating. It has happened while putting on clothes, rolling over in bed and when my dog went to lay on me. I have no idea what the F is wrong with it, but it needs to seriously stop. Bitchy rant over.
@JJMNO1616 Thanks for sharing that. We just gave up on a house because it was a bidding war and we decided we just didn't want to do that right now around the holidays, amongst other reasons. Good luck to your friend and to you too in your house hunt! I hope only the first day at work is a clusterduck.

@JJMNO1616 I totally understand where you're coming from with your new employer. I'm starting a new job soon too. I am very lucky that my sister is a benefits coordinator so I can ask her a lot of general questions about this kind of thing and I'm just going to copy her response straight from our text thread (including the gif):
"It's super normal for women your age to ask benefits people in HR about disability. I get that question all the time in orientation. You can't be fired or discriminated against for asking those questions. It doesn't have anything to do with the reason that they would hire you so you shouldn't feel worried about it. Women have "disabilities" all the time and it is a part of having women in the workforce. In order to stay competitive employers need to work with them to accommodate.
"You should never feel like your ability to bring life into this world puts you at a disadvantage"
*snip* "You should never feel like your ability to bring life into this world puts you at a disadvantage"
Except that despite the rules of feminism many women are at a disadvantage because many employers suck. My neighbor is on the exec team of a relatively young company and they are still trying to create a lot of their policies and procedures. Almost the whole staff are 20-30 something women, so she mentioned during a planning meeting that they should put together a maternity/paternity policy. The CEO's response? "You're not pregnant are you? That might be a problem." Also, when he was considering who to send to Australia for 6 months to open a new office, he straight up told her he didn't really consider her, even though she was the most logical choice, because "you just got married so you can't go abroad for 6 months." It may be illegal to discriminate because of these things, but people still do it. And fighting back is hard so often women just avoid the situation by not asking the questions in the first place.
Thanks for listening. End rant.
