Morning Sickness Faded?

Hi all! I'm seven weeks today, wasn't sick much at all until six weeks, then felt so sick 24/7 for a week...and now it's faded significantly. Anyone else? I know it's normal for symptoms to come and go, but of course it makes me nervous...

Re: Morning Sickness Faded?

  • Morning sickness may only last a short time. First pregnancy I was only nauseous for 3 weeks. I wouldn't worry.

  • Yes I was extremely nauseous for a week and then the following days I was less nauseous. Now I'm hardly nauseous at all. I worry too but from what I've read it's normal for symptoms to come and go. But it is stressful!

  • With my first, I was never sick. And she is one of the healthiest babies/kids ever. With my second, my morning sickness faded around week 9, which ended up being when we lost the baby. But it's also when lots of women start feeling better anyway.

All of this is to say that morning sickness or not--it could mean something, or it could mean nothing. I'm grasping at anything, too, right now, but the truth is, we just don't know. This period of time until week 12 is nothing but hoping for the best (and in the vast majority of the time--those hopes come true!).

  • Thanks ladies. I remember MS coming and going with my first as well, and I worried then, too - but everything was okay. Wish there wasn't so much time between ultrasounds!!

The first few appointments are TOUGH. You can't feel the baby move to be reassured, and your appointments are 4 weeks apart. Hang in there!
