Announcing ideas

I just recently found out I was pregnant and we're super excited for this new life. Last year when I was pregnant with my son around 11 weeks my SO and I got into a crazy car accident but we came out with a couple scratches thankfully!!! Unfortunately that's how my parents found out which wasn't Ideal at all. So with this pregnancy I want a do over I guess lol. I've been reading about others announcing stories and they're great for those with families who live close. I'm in GA and my parents are in PA while his parents are in SC. So we're all over the place.

I was thinking of mailing my parents an ultrasound picture when the time comes, but if you have any other ideas I would love to hear them! ✨

    You might change the name of your post to "long distance announcing ideas" just so people know that you are looking for something different than the existing announcing post. I almost passed it up. Just a suggestion. 

    I like the mailing idea. You could also Skype or create a video to send them. Or you could set up a Facebook live video and let them know ahead of time to watch. And drive safe, and stay away from crazy drivers. ;-)

    I would def Skype of you won't be seeing them in person anytime soon. So at least you can see their reaction. Are there singing telegrams or something like that where they live? Maybe have someone tell them and record it or face time it? My favorite part is seeing the face of who we are telling so I couldn't pass that part up personally! Let us know what you do!

    My family is all far away and we're mailing them Christmas gifts to open over Skype that will tell them :)

    Oooh when we were in Guam when we had DD I mailed my parents: a picture of the "pregnant" test, an ultrasound, and a bib that said "I love my grandma" & another thay said "grandpa's favorite". My mom had known that we were trying so I had just fibbed to her and said no luck yet.. It was such a fun surprise for them.
