B6 for nausea?

Anyone that is having nausea take B6 for it? How much did you take and how big are the pills? I'm awful at taking pills so I'm worried I'll have trouble getting them down. Anyone not take B6, but try to eat more foods with B6 in them first? I'm considering trying to eat more foods first before I go the pill route.

  • I believe Unisom and B6 is being prescribed as a cheaper version of Diclegis for women with HG and serious MS. I wouldn't take anything before talking to your doc first though.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

  • I'm not taking it now, but I did try it with my first (per doc) and I didn't think it did anything for me. So I stopped taking it.
  • I've been taking 2 diclegis at bedtime and 1 b6 every morning and I'm still constantly sick. I've been doing this for 5 days and the nurse said it could take a week for your levels to rise enough for you to notice. The b6 vitamin is tiny but has no coating and tastes horrible if it touches your tongue. Praying this will be over soon because I've missed work 4 days in a row now.

  • I'm at least happy that for the next 4 weeks, I only have to work a total of 3 days, so as awful as the nausea is I can deal with it at home.

  • I was also told to try the b6 and unisom. Worked great for 2 mornings this morning not so much...the unisom also seems to be making me feel weird so I'm stopping it. Going to continue the b6 though.
  • I already take a B-Complex, and unisom at night (just always have). So, I normally don't feel super shitty until evening, when the B-Complex has worn off...I'm going to try plain B6 in 25mg in the morning and at night to see if it makes a difference...
