How far along are you (OR how old is baby)? 38 weeks

How big is baby? Pumpkin...or just...real, live baby-sized.

How are you feeling? Pretty good. I've been having trouble motivating myself to do anything. Nesting, you can start right about now! Last night I was going to bake stuff for a book club I'm hosting today, but the sciatic pain in my left buttcheek was too bad to even hobble around. Blah.

What's going on this week? Another midwife appointment on Monday, but that's about it. We also need to set up the birth tub and make sure it doesn't leak.

Rants/Raves/Questions: GBS negative! So that's a load off my mind

Midwife says I'm all baby, and she estimates an 8-pounder at least, depending on how far I go.

GTKY (stolen from Tues & Wed check-in): Of all the baby things you have, what are you most excited to use, and why? I'm thinking too hard about this question. Maybe my swaddle blankets, because I have like four different kinds and I want to see what works best. But maybe my Nesting Days carrier (that hasn't arrived yet!!) or maybe the boob hat I got to freak people out!

contractions, back pain, but excited

What's going on this week?

Induction Sunday if I make it until then. Based on my NST and cervical check today and all the contractions, I am thinking this baby will be out by the weekend!

Rants/Raves/Questions:

Question- how long was everyone's bloody show (if you had it)? I am going on 3 days of pretty consistent mucous discharge (tinged with blood usually but not always). I lost my mucous plug 10 days ago. This seems super excessive- I thought it was a one and done. There is way too much for this to still be pieces of the mucous plug, I think. But FTM so I don't know.

I can't wait to see her in some of the ADORABLE outfits people have gifted us. I die just looking at them on their hangers. Puffy pink michelin man snow suit, here we come!

How far along are you (OR how old is baby)? Harvey is 3w + 5d, I would have been 41 weeks today.

How big is baby? No idea haha. He's eating well and I can tell he's filling out but his one month check up isn't until next Wednesday.

How are you feeling? Good! A bit bored though. If it wasn't so freaking cold I'd venture out with him.

What's going on this week? Nothing much! I'm looking forward to next week because DH took the whole week off as vacation.

Rants/Raves/Questions: The whole being someone's mom thing is no joke. I feel like everyday it hits me that he's MY baby and he's not going away, he's here to stay. Almost a month PP and it still seems a bit surreal to me.

GTKY (stolen from Tues & Wed check-in): Of all the baby things you have, what are you most excited to use, and why? The lillebaby carrier! My mom bought it for Harvey as a Christmas gift. I've successfully used the moby, but the lillebaby is more for DH so I'm excited for him to be able to wear Harvey.

How far along are you (OR how old is baby)? 39 weeks

How big is baby? Big. Bump says the size of a pumpkin. At growth scan on Monday 8lbs 5oz not counting the 20% margin of error.

How are you feeling? Done. Had 24 hours of not being able to keep anything in me, but after getting lots of sleep, I feel as human as possible right now.

What's going on this week? I had my 38/39 week appointment on Monday, then met with my counselor for my last pre-baby appointment on Tuesday, and today I had my membranes stripped. From Monday to today, I stayed at 3 cm dilated, but I went from 60% to 70% effaced.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I am ready to be done with work. And I am tired of all these people that I never hear from reaching out for updates.

How big is baby? She is 6 lbs, 1 oz up from her 5-12 birth weight!

How are you feeling? recovery from cesarean is slow going and I have anxiety every night at 5 till bed

What's going on this week? just trying to survive! DH has been such a help.

Rants/Raves/Questions: people tell you it's hard to have the baby but i didn't understand until she was here. Very overwhelming, but she is worth it

How far along are you (OR how old is baby)? Rhett is 3 weeks old

How big is baby? 7 lbs exactly

How are you feeling? Right this second, feeling like a pacifier.

What's going on this week? I had my incision check and Rhett had a weight check. Both went well.

Rants/Raves/Questions:

GTKY (stolen from Tues & Wed check-in): Of all the baby things you have, what are you most excited to use, and why? Our cloth diapers! I didn't get newborn cloth, we decided to just use disposables and I hate disposables. His cloth will start fitting at 8lbs so hopefully it won't be too long!

How far along are you (OR how old is baby)? He's 5 days old

How big is baby? 7lb 13oz

How are you feeling? Ok. Tired. Boobs are sore. Still a little uncomfortable physically post delivery.

What's going on this week? We had a pedi appt yesterday and this guy is doing a great job gaining weight and is "very active" per the doctor. Also did our newborn pics yesterday.

Rants/Raves/Questions: This guy basically slept through the night in his bassinet. I had to wake him for his feedings. Amazing considering 2 days ago he'd scream if we put him down and we were taking turns staying up and holding him all night.

GTKY (stolen from Tues & Wed check-in): Of all the baby things you have, what are you most excited to use, and why? We have also not broken into our cloth diaper stash bc LO is still needing Vaseline on his circumcision for another week. So I'm hoping it goes well when we make the switch. Also need to break out the baby carrier.

@ashleaf2018 I've been meaning to ask how the CD'ing thing is going...but I guess at this point the answer is "time will tell!" Do you know yet whether Rhett has inherited your FI's skin condition? I remember you said that was one thing you were worried about with it.

@PensiveCrayon At this point we don't think he did! If he had inherited it he would have had severe blistering at birth, which he didn't. He may have inherited a less mild form that will show up as he gets older, but so far so good! He had a 50/50 chance of getting it, so FI and I feel really great about the fact that he may not have gotten it
