Re: TTGP Grad Check In 12/15

  • If your a new grad, how long were you on TTGP? Not new but I was lurking for about 4 months and active for 4 months post loss

How far along are you? 6 weeks today!

How are you feeling? not too bad.  Still super tired, and sore boobs, but adding in feeling funky most mornings (i think this is my MS).  Basically I have zero desire to eat, and feel really gross, but then around lunch time, it starts to feel like hunger, so I eat and then feel better.

Anyone have an appointment this week? Nope, I have my dating US on Monday!  I am excited and super nervous too.  I never had an appointment **tw** before my loss, and so I dont really know when it all happened or how far along I was **endTW** so I just want to make sure everything is okay!

Rants/Raves/Randoms  We are so close to christmas!  I can not wait!  I go home for the first half of my vacation, right after my appointment on Monday!  So exciting

GTKY: How long have you and you SO been together? How did you get together?  DH and I have been together for almost 13 years (13 years in Feb).  We were 14 and 16 when we got together! We actually met because DH's mom was my churches new pastor, and we started dating about a year after they moved! Been together ever sense.  Married for 4.5 years.

How far along are you? 7 weeks today

How are you feeling? I had one great day this week where everything was awesome. Followed by the worse day of nausea yet. Still fatigued, peeing lots, and lots of CM.

Anyone have an appointment this week? Nope

Rants/Raves/Randoms DD decided to take a 3.5 HR nap yesterday but then didn't fall asleep for bed until 10:30 pm. Then she woke up screaming for me at 3:30 am and she didn't fall back asleep until after 5:00 am which means I didn't either. I'm gonna be exhausted more than normal today.

GTKY: How long have you and you SO been together? How did you get together?
We met and started dating in 2009. Married in 2011.  We worked together.

Anyone have an appointment this week? Not til 12/26!

Rants/Raves/Randoms: I think my bloat is getting better.... or I've just already gotten used to it haha

  • If your a new grad, how long were you on TTGP? 3 months

How far along are you? 5 weeks, 5 days

How are you feeling? Pretty good except major bloating and mild fullness feeling in pelvic area. Oh yeah, I was too tired to remember I'm totally exhausted.

Anyone have an appointment this week? I had a nurse phone call this morning that the practice does as a standard. Went over medical history and asked some questions. I ended up scheduling a bedside ultrasound for next Thursdsy since I'll be across the country for a full week over the holidays. They said 8 weeks is standard but I could come in earlier if I want...just hope it's a good appointment given that it's early. I'm nervous!

This is supposed to be a "slower" time of year at work and it's freaking insane. Lacking motivation and being exhausted is not helping AT ALL.

GTKY: How long have you and you SO been together? How did you get together? Married 5.5 years...met in our mid- late 20s and dated, got married two years later!

  • @Shan870 maybe a dumb question, but does ginger tea taste like ginger?  I need something to make me feel better but I don't like the taste of ginger :(.  So far I suck on Jolly Ranchers like I did my first time and it's working somewhat.

  • @bumpybump Unfortunately it does taste like ginger. It is ginger/lemonade. I didn't like the taste of it either but I took small sips and let the rest sit so I could smell it...(heard the smell of ginger helps too). It was nasty but it helped.
  • @Shan870 and they paired it with lemonade. That's something else I don't like :(

How are you feeling? Decent! No more headaches, but bloody nose #4 yesterday. Really praying I don't get MS. I start feeling weird when I'm about 15 minutes into my drive and then usually feel okay until I get out of the car and walk around. I wouldn't say I'm exhausted yet because I get tired in waves.

Anyone have an appointment this week? Nope, seeing the hematologist on the 23rd.

Rants/Raves/Randoms: I feel like my boobs hurt worse at night. Told my mom and the rest of my sisters I'm KU today.

GTKY: How long have you and you SO been together? How did you get together? We just celebrated 4 years of dating on 11/30 and got married in July. We met playing coed softball.

  • @NYTino24 I got bloody noses a decent amount with my first pregnancy. So not fun!  The worst was when I was at a fancy restaurant for work and got one while eating and it gushed down my face. Hope you don't get ones like that!

  • @bumpybump Yuck! Sorry you had to deal with that. Mine take a while to stop. *TMI I often have to shove part of a tissue up there to help it clot, or I swallow and cough up a blood clot.* /TMI! That's why I'm going back to the hematologist. I was diagnosed with a blood disorder as a teenager and didn't go back to a hematologist (a new one) until I had shoulder surgery. He said my bloodwork looked okay on BCP and then again when I came off. Gonna go next week and get CBC done. Hopefully I can also get them to check HCG level since I'm not seeing the OB until 1/12.

  • @NYTino24 have you ever used cut up tampons to stop the nose bleeds?  Our athletic trainers in high school always used them and as you can imagine, work awesome!  FX for a good appointment.

  • @bumpybump yeah we used them in sports... I have plenty to use now that I'm pregnant and don't need them, haha. The only thing is I don't want to distract my 9 year old students! I have to keep drinking water, keep my heat down in the car, and use a humidifier when we have our bedroom space heater on. Other than that, I don't think there is any other way to prevent them.

  • If your a new grad, how long were you on TTGP?

3 weeks (I feel a little weird calling myself a grad) but I lurked for a month and a half before that.

    How far along are you?

    7+1

    How are you feeling?

All day mild nausea, but not super terrible.  I honestly can't tell if the tired is from the pg, having an almost 1 year old who still wakes to nurse 2-4 times a night, or that it is the last day of class (5th grade) before winter break.

Anyone have an appointment this week?

Had one yesterday!  They did an u/s and I got to see the heartbeat!!!  So exciting.  He said everything looked exactly like it should look, which took a huge weight off my shoulders, because I had been having panic attacks.

    Rants/Raves/Randoms

I don't know it this a rant or a rave....but we are flying from CA to FL on Monday to spend Christmas with my parents.  I haven't wrapped a single present (but that are 99% bought, just need 1 for my cousin), packed a single bag, and my house is a mess!!  I hope DH is on it this weekend, because with first tri exhaustion and chasing an almost 1 year old, I don't know how it's going to get done.  But, then on Tuesday I get to be in FL where its in the 80's!!!

GTKY: How long have you and you SO been together? How did you get together?

We met in 2011, dated for about 3 months, then broke it off.  Reconnected in Feb of the next year, and were married in Nov. of 13.  So, we've officially been together for almost 5 years.  We met on line through the OkCupid dating site.
