Thanks ladies...sorry it took so long but I've also been in kind of a funk too with going back to work. Transition is going better than I thought and the morning chaos has not been nearly as bad as I thought it would be.
Anyone's baby fights nursing? For about 3 weeks now my 9 week old will fight me when nursing at least once a day. Sometimes she doesn't fight it at all. It usually happens when she's obviously hungry and tired. I go to feed her and she won't nurse but then will frantically give hunger cues and nurse less than 5 minutes later! And once shes nursed, she's content and falls asleep. I know I'm producing enough and have a super quick letdown. I almost feel like she's just fighting sleep and knows if she eats, she will fall asleep. Any advice?
You guys, I'm about to fucking lose it. CPS sent us a letter stating that the abuse allegations against FI have been substantiated, even though the case worker who wrote that report NEVER investigated us OR contacted the witnesses who saw Mikey fall out of the tree... We are definitely filing an appeal, but now I am terrified they are going to try to come for my other children... do they do that? Does anybody have any experience with this? Off to Google I go...
@AllyTheKid I have no real-world experience with this, but I don't think there is any reason to worry about your other children. I'm so sorry that you are having to deal with this, especially right before Christmas! Good luck with your appeal.
@allythekid the only reason from what you told us that a substantiation would make sense would be bc you guys didn't take him to the doctor or er after he fell. i knownhis mom didn't either but it could be construed as medical neglect on you guys, esp if they got a medical ecam for ss and the doctor thinks immediate attention had been warranted

@mrszoess The allegation substantiated in the notice was abuse. The case worker listed on the notice never contacted us, our list of witnesses we provided, or did any form of investigation. The date on the envelope is dated for the day after we were informed that that specific case worker had been removed from the case. The referral date on the letter itself was dated one week before we were even informed we were under investigain or had been contacted by DHS/CPS at all. Doctor who performed his x-ray had no concerns about abuse as far as we know.

@allythekid i feel like there has to be more to what they're investigating. were u allowed in the courtroom? in order for the substantiation to be upheld there will be a court hearing about it...out here we have to make contact with the child victim first and everyone else and the alleged perp very last which may be why they didn't come see you guys for a while. there may be more evidence that they did not provide like other concerns by doctors or the previous therapist or police reports and stuff. it's hard bc i know hipaa prevents them from talking to non bio parents with full disclosure
Anyine having issues with their teeth PP? My teeth have been feeling so sensitive. I didn't have any issues while pregnant and I'm still taking my prenatals.
@Ladybug2821 so many dental issues over here!!! Pregnancy has wrecked my teeth both times around... In fact a few weeks before I delivered I ended up cracking a filling and now with time and the help of chewing I have a gaping hole in one of my molars.
