Re: Cramping anyone??

  • Exact same. I don't remember any with my daughter but it's been fairly constant/mild. Ughhhhh I need to drink more water.

  • Me toooo. FTM so I'm constantly googling what is considered normal.

  • Yeah, I have a lot of activity in there, but I think it's due to constipation. Prenatal can contribute to it. I have to eat a lot of veggies and drink water to keep it all moving. Your bowels can cramp up, so it could be that.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

I haven't been able to discern whether I'm feeling a mild dull ache or full feeling down there or what. I'll get really quick twinges of cramps that come and go. Have been pretty gassy and have noticed that relieves some of what I've been feeling. Bloating is definitely my most prominent symptom so I imagine it's all related to that?

@akwr FTM here, too, and DH and I keep googling what cramps are normal!

  • I've had a ton of cramping. I've maybe had one day without it. But never any bleeding.
Ive had a lot of pain centred around my Endo but outside of that I find if I get moving around a lot the milder cramping increases. Getting lots of weird pulls too if I sneeze hard or something.
I've called my RE a couple times now and keep hearing - if there's no blood there's no worry, cramping is normal because the uterus is preparing, gas & bloat doesn't help. Another good tip is if the cramping stops when you change positions it's likely again, nothing to worry about.

  • I had pretty bad cramping during week 4...it would wake me up at night. I think it was due to constipation/general discomfort combined with the prenatal vitamins. It would usually go away after spending some time in the bathroom ha. I'm almost 6 weeks now and it has definitely gotten better. I heard the same comments from my OB - normal if there's no bleeding. Even some spotting can be normal apparently, so don't freak out. Fingers crossed yours subsides soon!

  • I'm getting fairly bad pains in my lower back and abdomen, and also on my right side under my ribs. It seems to be worse when I lay down but Its still there most of the time. I'm hoping that it's just gas, has anyone else experienced this? I also get pains in my arms and legs sometimes. I got my first ultrasound done around 4 weeks and they couldn't see anything but they wanted to make sure I didn't have an ectopic pregnancy. I have another ultrasound scheduled tomorrow and i'm a little over 6 weeks. Anyone experiencing anything similar?
  • If it's a second baby they happen faster. It's just stuff moving around and RLP. More water will help!
  • I don't remember it the last two times but I've had some this past week too.

  • I get it, also around my bottom too (always have with the Endo during my period but I hear it's common with pregnancy in general). It's defiantly like "lightening crotch" haha. Catches you totally off guard and takes your breath away for a second haha

  • I started having ovulation type pain last night and still this morning. It's not constant, but those really quick sharp twinges around my right ovary. All my google research says it could be a cyst. Fortunately I have an appointment this afternoon and can hopefully get some insight.

I've had pretty bad cramping at night time.. I definitely don't remember those until later on last time around. My doctor doesn't seem to think it's an issue though and won't even see me until January 9th.

@Lmmtravels fingers crossed that your appointment goes well and all is good.

  • Any STM moms? This is my second and I don't remember any cramps with my first who is now 16 mos. I didn't have any pain at all until my BH contractions towards the end. Is cramping pretty normal early with subsequent kids? Now I have aching pretty frequently. It's rather odd and worries my PGAL brain.

I'm in the exact same boat. My first is only almost 5 months but I didn't have any cramping with him. I'm not wondering if maybe my uterus is just sore? Is that possible? But yes it worries me too after having a previous loss before LO.
  • I didn't have my cramping with my first, but I am having a lot with this one. I talked to my doctor about it, she said every pregnancy is different, which seems to be true I'm not nearly as sick with this one as I was with my first. I have some spotting with my first and no spotting with this one. But my cramps also still scare me because they are sharp and immobilizing, but no bleeding so my doc says its just implantation. Makes me wonder how long this baby needs to implant haha.
  • FTM and having mild cramping and back pain off and on. I've also been super constipated since BFP, so it could be contributed to by that. My hips and inner thighs are super sore, too. I teach dance and exercise classes, so muscle soreness isn't unusual for me, but I wonder if relaxin is making my joints loose already. I'm hypermobile to begin with, and I dissociated my SI joint in highschool following a spine fracture, so I am pretty vigilant of how my joints feel. Probably over obsessing...
  • Last week (5w) I had nightly cramping (starting with lower abdomen tenderness near bedtime and waking me up in the middle of the night). In the morning I would wake up and wonder whether I had dreamt it, because I felt fine during the day! Now I am 6w3d and the cramping seems to have left the building for now.
  • Yeah i am STM. cramping has finally eased but still having twinges. Also already had a few episodes of RLP which i know i didnt have this early with DD.
