US at 5 weeks 5 days- not much to see :(

hi.
So, long story short, my OBGYN asked me to come in because I was pretty dizzy for the last couple days. We ended up doing an US and I saw the little sack with little blurry stuff at one end. Couldn't see much else... Dr. didn't look too hard and said it was as expected for this point on pregnancy. I still can't help but worry that I should've been able to see more.

. I have another appt in two weeks. Getting to see it was great - trying to stay positive and keep my fingers crossed that the little one is growing. I'm always worried!!

Its normal to be a bit worried this early! I had a u/s at 6w1d and all we saw was the gestational sac. My dd is now 9 months old so i guess it was fine!

I have one this morning and I am 5 weeks 1 day. My RE warned me that there wouldn't be much to see but that he knows what he's looking for so not to worry. Of course at this point all I do is worry!!!

You have to keep in mind that at 5 weeks baby is only as big as an apple seed. At 6 weeks it's only a sweetpea. That is unbelievably small. You won't see much in there at all for another few weeks. I know it's really hard but try not to worry too much.

This is the problem with early ultrasounds, they almost always cause nothing but worry. During the 5th week some people only see a gestational sac, whereas others can see the yolk sac and possibly the fetal pole. You will know much more at your appointment in two weeks. At that point you should be able to have a measurable fetal pole and see a heartbeat

@Nicki2525 I just got back from my sono and I'm 5 weeks 2 days and they saw a sac and a tiny dot. They were not concerned with seeing more. They said next week they should see more. I myself know what I wanted to see but he said you would be amazed at how different it would look in a week. Good luck!!!! I'm sure all will be fine!

I went this morning at 4w5d bc of extreme cramping. The tech saw a sac and yolk and what she thought was the start of a fetal pole. She wasn't concerned at all and said usually you can't see anything else until 6 or 7 weeks.

I'll be going on Monday for my first trans-vaginal ultrasound, which will be right at 6 weeks. I'm feeling so nervous they'll tell me there's just an empty gestational sac because that's what happened to me last year when I had a partial molar pregnancy. Keeping my fingers crossed the doctors sees what he wants to see!

I had an ultrasound on Tuesday at 5w5/6 days. All they saw was the sac. My OB assures me not to worry, that's it's normal at this point. Hard not to worry, especially with two losses this year, but I'm trusting my OB. Fingers crossed that we both have great repeat scans in two weeks!

I was in the same boat. Couldn't really see anything. But the doctor reassured me that I was definitely pregnant, otherwise the sac would not be there at all. You'll see a lot more at the next one!

I go in Friday and will have an US too. I will be 6w4d. I'm considering waiting a week or two so I can see more but their office will be closing soon for holiday and won't open until the second week of Jan.

I went for an U/S today. I'm 5w2d but they saw the baby and a heartbeat, and I'm measuring 6w3d. So you can definitely see something around the 6 week mark. It's better at the 7/8 week mark I remember with DS but either way it's amazing

I feel ya mama! I had my first sono at RE 5w3d and all we saw was the gestational sac. Before she did the US, she said that's all I expect to see. Of course I'm worrying! Especially bc I had 2 recent loses. But I should see more at my 6w3d Sono. Did they do beta testing?
