We had our second anatomy scan on Friday at 22weeks, here are some updated pictures. She has her arms above her head! She was a little stinker though and STILL did not get in the right positions to have all the pictures of her heart taken.. so we may be back again for a third anatomy scan. We will see what the doctor says.
This is the 3d imaging or whatever it is called - She is hiding her face behind her arms. Such a cutie So freaking in love with this baby already.
I just had a scan today to check baby's size. He is going to look so much like my daughter (second born). Crazy how tiny they are but you can see such similarities.
I'm just joining on here, I actually just had my first u/s last Friday. Thus is our 2nd baby, but we had no idea!! I had some serious stress and lots on my mind, so I figured that's what was causing me to feel queasy. With my son, I had all sorts of signs, my sense of smell heightened, I was sick all the time, I had heartburn and indegestion and lots of other things. So far I have noticed heartburn, but what tipped us off is she started moving hardcore about 2/3 weeks ago, they weren't super strong and constant. So my fiance and I got a test and it came up postive. I was thinking somewhere along 18/20 weeks, but no she's at 25 weeks! So that was a huge shock for us, but we're extremely excited too, our little ones will be about 18 months apart, but that's alright cause I always wanted my kids close, maybe not exactly that close, but it'll be fun I wish I had the ultrasound pictures but I have to wait to get them cause the cd burner was broken when we went in, so they're mailing them to us lol but I'm enjoying seeing all of your pictures and wish I had gone to see the doctor a few months ago when I was having what I thought were stomach issues. However I have gained a total of 3 pounds in like 4 months, and 1 of that goes to her apparently lol so I don't have much of a belly/bump to show off! I didn't with my son either though lol
@andromedacorrine Congratulations and welcome to our january group! This pregnancy is going to just breeze by since you are already over half way done! Can't wait to see your ultrasound photos!
I had an ultrasound today at a pregnancy center just because. They do them for free, so why not? My little guy was pretty wiggly so didn't get great pics, but it was fun to see him bopping around in there, and feeling him at the same time! He's measuring right around 27 weeks, so he's spot on!

Thank you!!! Im so excoted!!! I wish I could upload them, my laptop won't save them to it and I can't get to a different computer til later this week. But my doctor is extremely excited too, we got to go see her this week. Now I gotta catch up on bloodwork........ewww needles....
28w2d fluid check, this is probably our last chance for ok face shots because they're running out of room! Tech says they have my (and my dad's) nose (hearteyes for days!)
with allllll of the pics from fortnightly scans we're going to have a very thick book of ultrasound pics lol
We got to see Baby!! I am so in love It's so real now that I can see the nose (totally DH's) and lips and chin (totally my chin). I can't wait to meet this little monkey! Baby is currently breech, with head in my rib cage and feet above the head (explains soooooo much!!!) and is comfortably using my bladder as a cushion for its tush. Thanks, kid.
DH got off work early today so we snuck a peak at Cletus the fetus and we got a decent face shot - we also saw him chewing on his umbilical cord - it's a good thing he doesn't have teeth! It's been 5 weeks since we last looked and he has grown SO much.
Finally got her ultrasounds to download. My phone wouldn't let me edit the picture so ignore my obnoxious name lol I hope we get to do one more ultrasound, she didn't give the tech too many good shots lol before I know it she'll be here though!
Our LO was all faceplanted in the placenta so they had 2 techs at our elective ultrasound desperately trying for an hour and a half to get him to cooperate--basically every elective U/S tech's worst nightmare. Fiancee was playing 90s booty bass jams on his phone hoping it'd get him to move around some, no luck. He eventually cooperated kind of in the last 5-10 minutes
We just had our 32 week ultrasound and they said our baby boy is measuring 4.7 pounds. I was shocked because that sounds really big to me. They said it's average and I'm still on track for my January 20th due date. This wasn't my regular doctor so I'm a little skeptical. Any thoughts?
That's pretty normal. Babies gain about half a pound a week from here on on average (though not guaranteed), so assuming he kept packing on the weight at an average rate, you're looking at a 7.5-8.5 pound baby, very normal.
Also don't forget that weight estimates from u/s are not always reliable, they can be wrong up to 2lb (I think later closer to due date that is) Have known lots of mama's who were told their baby was 'only 6lb' and baby was born over 8lb or that omg baby is a huge 11lb and again baby was born around 8lb...I wish they would stop the weight guessing all together! Measuring size I get to be sure baby is developing and growing etc, but too many OB still use it as a scare tactic to get moms to do c-sections because of 'big baby' even when ACOG says it should NEVER be used to determine a c-section.
Here's our little boy with a head full of hair! Weighing 4lbs 6oz, at 32 weeks. Which is good since I have to be induced at 37 weeks. Only 4 1/2 more weeks until we meet our baby boy!
