Tired, swollen, and emotionally kind of spent. I'm ready to not be pregnant anymore, and I really wish that the contractions I've been having for the last week were doing something to get me ready, but I'm not dilated at all as of yesterday and only 30% effaced. I'm trying to remind myself that that can all change within the next week, and I sure hope it does so I don't have to get induced!

@ea301 lol, I swear I just heard your phrase "whoever said you sleep better with a newborn is full of crap!!!" Sleeping better... well, if the newborn actually sleeps? Maybe. Sleeping more comfortably?- yes, that's me. I'm so insanely uncomfortable sleeping on my side and my vag feels like it's going to split in 2 every time I move in bed! I am SO looking forward to sleeping on my back!!! I'm a back sleeper though. Hang in there, I remember feeling that way with DD1, just trying to take care of her. Then when she was about 1 month and more alert to me, something amazing clicked. If she didn't see me, she stayed still, but as soon as she saw me she would start bicycle kicking like crazy! We started peek a boo, kissing neck farts, tickling- getting her to smile was the best and made for some great connection.

It went well, but need to figure out LO's schedule so I can get some stuff done, plus rest when I can. We had a system last night where DH stayed up with LO until about 2:30, then i got up the rest so he could sleep some before he went to work. It seemed to work well, and I felt good. But, LO hasn't pooped as much as he did before the last few days so we think he's constipated and more fussy than usual. Usually we can figure out what he wants, but the last couple of days have been rough.

1. Jeb is 6 weeks old as of yesterday and we have been home 3.5 weeks. It's finally starting to feel like we can do this and will actually survive. 2. Sleep deprivation is a little better as he is able to stretch a little longer between feeds. Still setting alarm for every 3.5 hours to make sure he doesn't go too long without eating. 3. We are working on routine of reading books and rocking for a few minutes before bedtime and it's my favorite time of day. 4. I love all Christmas music but the classics are my favorites.

Sleeping more comfortably?- yes, that's me. I'm so insanely uncomfortable sleeping on my side and my vag feels like it's going to split in 2 every time I move in bed! I am SO looking forward to sleeping on my back!!! I'm a back sleeper though.
Hang in there, I remember feeling that way with DD1, just trying to take care of her. Then when she was about 1 month and more alert to me, something amazing clicked. If she didn't see me, she stayed still, but as soon as she saw me she would start bicycle kicking like crazy! We started peek a boo, kissing neck farts, tickling- getting her to smile was the best and made for some great connection.
@LinziLoo09 I spent 5 minutes thinking of a haiku and nothing works in my brain. I finally gave up. Your haiku is perfect!!!! I love it! And I really started giggling. Made my day.

Awesome. 8 days PP from a c section and already stepped down to ibuprofen from the Norco I was on, haven't really had any pain since 5 days PP and I've lost 47 pounds since I gave birth. I feel SO good. Motherhood and I agree with each other so much better than pregnancy and I ever did.

Pregnancy wise, not too bad. Stairs are my worst enemy and I'm pretty tired most of the time but really I feel very lucky to feel as good as I do at this point. Emotionally, can't quite wrap my head around the idea that he will be here so soon. It feels like we've been waiting forever and I can't believe it's really going to happen soon!

Awful, It's hard to walk. I'm exhausted and heartburn is going to be the death of me. I'm starting to have some swelling in my legs and feet so I'm going to ask about that tomorrow since they have been worried about preeclampisa.

Alright. Today was my first day home without DH, as he went back to work. It went well, but need to figure out LO's schedule so I can get some stuff done, plus rest when I can. We had a system last night where DH stayed up with LO until about 2:30, then i got up the rest so he could sleep some before he went to work. It seemed to work well, and I felt good. But, LO hasn't pooped as much as he did before the last few days so we think he's constipated and more fussy than usual. Usually we can figure out what he wants, but the last couple of days have been rough.

I love ALL Christmas albums. I always go back to 'N Sync's "Home for Christmas" from 1998. But, love Pentatonix album last year (the one this year isn't as great, I feel anyway), as well as what Micheal Buble came out with in past years. Again, I love them all... Chipmunks, Glee, Bing Crosby, Mariah Carey, 98 Degrees... I could go on.

2) How are you feeling? I'm over it, physically. I really thought she would be here when I started feeling cramps over a week ago and then...nothing. It's like she got spooked and said forget it, I'm staying in. I want to walk more to help induce labor, but my feet are so swollen and I ache so bad that I can't walk much. But mentally I'm super anxious. I'm trying to enjoy the last of being pregnant, but it's hard with everyone all, "C'mon, have the baby already!"

Over it, if I'm being honest. I've been having some issues with swelling and high BP here and there, I'm at the point where I'd like them to just tell me they're inducing me. I feel like a jerk constantly calling my OB's office with another symptom that they need to bring me in to do testing for. As long as the baby is healthy, I'm ready to go.
