hey mommas!

Im flying to FL tomorrow for a week. This trip has been planned for awhile, even before BFP. I thought I would be fine, but my nausea has hit hard this weekend. It's absolutely random and not tied to smell like my previous pregnancy.

Any tips or tricks for handling the nausea in the airport on the plane and everything in between?!?

  • Have you tried preggie pops drops? Don't help completely, but it helps to suck on something.

  • @morgy_bee I used to use these on long bus rides!
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

  • Yes to the sea band. Sea Band also sells ginger gum for nausea, which might serve a double purpose to help with pressure in your ears on the flight as well as the nausea.

Definite yes to the Preggie Pops. Those things are like magic.

I'd advise keeping nuts with you. Being hungry can make morning sickness worse due to needing energy. Nuts will give your body that energy it needs without you needing to eat a ton of them. If you just keep munching on a few every so often, it should help.

If you buy a ginger ale to help calm your stomach, check the bottle or can to make sure it says "Made with real ginger" because some brands are not, so they're not going to help you. You can also mix some lemon, honey, and ginger into some hot water as a tea (not for the plane, obviously, but maybe for the drive to the airport, or once you arrive at your destination). The sour taste of the lemon will take the edge off the nausea, and the ginger will calm your stomach.

    Have a great trip!
  • @morgy_bee Love this thread - thanks for starting! I'm flying to France for Christmas and already dreading that long flight.. these are some great tips though. I may be that crazy person walking up and down the aisle because I just can't sit still.
