@BertieMeetsGertie - GL at your ultrasound tomorrow!!! I hope everything comes back clear.
@RedBreast35 - high five for you and that ovary if yesterday was O!
@lulu1180 - I can't believe you're still waiting! FX you hear something (good - or at least helpful) tomorrow!
@lulu1180@jess0211 I'm with both of you as well. I don't even want to do anymore testing because everything we've done so far has indicated some sort of problem. (I know that is stupid and we'll keep on testing) After 19 months total I rrreeeaalllyy have to battle with myself to try to not be super negative. I spent some time last night browsing blogs from people who dealt with the same things we are, and it was a little reassuring to read some of their progression and ultimate success. Hugs to both of you ladies!
@adoo - From your post I'm confused what you mean by your opk being positive but not dark enough to stop testing. I just wanted to make sure you know that the opk isn't positive unless the test line is darker than the control line! GL!

R/R: Well, my work party was just about as awkward as I expected. It didn't help that they decided to do reviews right beforehand...but only for those employees receiving bonuses. We're not large, so obviously people figured out what was going on pretty quickly. Why, just why?
I had a really nice evening with my MIL and SIL afterward though, so that was good! We have a matinee show to go to today and it's snowing like crazy and I have no desire to move, but it should be fun.
CS/Q: Nope.
GTKY: What would be your perfect Sunday?
Next Sunday is it. I'm going to lay in bed reading with some tea, then lounge around knitting and doing generally nothing all day. I can't wait!
ETA: I almost forgot the best part of next Sunday! I will *hopefully* be kicking DH's (or his cousin's, depending on who wins this week) butt in the championship semi-finals for our FF league. I finished the season in first place and have a bye this week and an automatic in to the semi-finals so I'm feeling pretty good about my team
(possible TW) She said that part of the hesitation to prescribe has to do with inconsistent research on whether progesterone supplementation helps -- apparently progesterone supplements cause more BFPs but do NOT cause more take-home babies, so the thought is that you may be inadvertently sustaining an embryo that is not healthy and would be lost anyway. You're essentially delaying the inevitable. For me personally, I found this compelling because I would rather think it's a period than a loss. That's my preference, not to know. Not everyone feels the same way, though, I suppose.
She also doesn't like to prescribe progesterone before you've been confirmed to be ovulating and to have clear tubes, because the side effects can be troubling (not to mention a real mindfuck) and can mask other problems. I have a short luteal phase and was spotting 2 days before AF started. Per her suggestion, I started avoiding soy and reduced my exposure to estrogenic chemicals which got me up to 9 days (which is still short but is better) and reduced spotting to less than a day. My acupuncturist also recommended using a heating pad on the pelvic area during the luteal phase to keep yourself warm and fight the temp drop. No idea if any of these things are rigorously evaluated but they're pretty easy to implement.
This is very interesting! So @adirat, if your dr would prescribe it for you, do you think you still wouldn't take it? Unless of course you got a BFP? I just want to get this u/s over with! Of course things can happen anytime, but my spotting basically got worse when we started TTC. So, if u/s is clear, it might be caused by stress or excess soy. I'm planning on stopping my blue apron meals for a month or so because we also started that when we started TTC. I'd like to cut one thing out and see how I respond. @lulu1180 I'll have my liner ready!

@ColoradoHiker Apparently this is unusual compared to other PPs but if I do an OPK during my period or during my luteal phase, I get a stark white. I typically start OPKs around CD10 and they slowly get darker and darker each day. So while you aren't positive now, you should keep at it because you may O sooner than you think if your body is like mine.
@beachbunnyxo123 Thanks! I have severe left side ovulation pain and an ultrasound couldn't find my left ovary at all so my doctor referred me to an MRI to look for the ovary and an issue that might be causing the pain. For OPKs, it varies. I think most of the women here ovulate the day after their positive OPK, but for me, if I get a positive in the morning I will ovulate that same day. So actually if you HIO yesterday, that would be the best timing (-1)!
@zwink1 Hugs. It's so hard not to feel discouraged. And eek, that is so awkward about the reviews!
@BertiemeetsGertie To be honest, I don't know whether I would take progesterone. I haven't had to face this decision yet. She told me she'd prescribe it in the case of a BFP if I wanted, but I don't know. I can tell you that I only test on days that I could go see my doctor (I never test on weekends for instance). So I guess that means I would probably take it. That said, I am hoping to have my progesterone retested in another month or two to see if the dietary changes have made a difference. Pending my MRI results, DH and I are thinking we will set up an appointment with an RE in January when we get our new health insurance so I would ask for it then.

Who are you and what have you done with my husband?? I love it. But in the 8 years of being with him, he's never been like that. I always start things. Now he's coming after me! I did ask him, and he said I promise you I really don't know why, I just love you, and I promise I didn't do anything to cause this!

@lulu1180 I had a cycle of 50 something days previously.
Here's more info, I am curious that if I am calculating this right. We decided to start trying around November 1st. AF made an appearance on November 23rd after a 50D cycle. I think O was yesterday so my cycles are irregular. Anyways this makes me think we are Month 2 w/1 cycle.
Thanks, @adirat ! I haven't used clomid as of yet. I'm told I need it to O with any kind of regularity. I saw a new OBGYN a few months ago who recommended clomid 50mg, but it's unmonitored ☹️️. I do O every so often, so we're crossing our fingers for an O cycle sometime in the next three months. If no O by that point, my OBGYN said he'll refer us to a RE. FX @juliebeannn

@soemthingclever Ah, got it. I misremembered -- I recalled your PCOS but for some reason I thought you had done a clomid cycle previously. Here's hoping you O right away and don't even need it!
@adirat I'm flattered you remembered at all! With the time being benched because of Zika, we've not been able to actively TTC for very long. Before we take on the expense of a RE and monitored medicated cycles, we're really just pulling a Hail Mary hoping something will happen over the next few months. My hopes are not high at all, though☹️️. But we'll see, I guess.

@zwink1. I'm in a FF league too--the only girl. I'm first in my division so I have a bye week too!
@adirat that's good to know! I try to eat spicy and warm things in LP but worried that a heating pad on my tummy would be too much. I almost constantly have one on my back when I'm home but even worried that might be a bad thing.
@Sugargirl1019 I'm with you on the endless scrolling...why, Bump, why?! Also kind of funny about your H! Any new vitamins or dietary changes? LoL hope it lasts until your FW, at least! I was saying to my H that I'm a little annoyed AF came earlier and that his SA is planned for when it is and his response is "not to worry, I'm in town for a whole month" (referencing that he has no OOT work coming up). But he still doesn't seem to get it that IIIIII only REALLY want it for about two of those weeks...from when AF leaves to shortly after O lol (After that my libido drops but I try to throw him a bone here and there lol). Maybe one day he'll understand
I could almost swear I had wet cm today, tho, and I'm just like whooooaaa nelly, summer down, no early O please!!!
@jpearl2307 I don't know that it REALLY matters but for myself, we made the decision to start trying in June but we'd already missed my ovulation so I don't count that month or cycle in my tally. It sounds like maybe you missed your O your last long cycle, too? Either way, I'd say if you want to count that month, then I'd probably count that cycle, too. But I see where you're going with it, as this will be your first FULL cycle trying. It's really up to you, just my two cents
WAYDTGKU: Temping, Progesterone after O, OPK starting soon
R/R: We were finally able to have sex yesterday after being told to abstain for DH's SA, then for my HSG...damn someone should tell us we can't have sex more often because last night..
to put it mildly! Ha! Now we just have to keep up the momentum through FW.
*TW pregnancy mentioned* On a much more of a rant note, I saw my sister today for our family Christmas. The one who just told me she's pregnant. It was much harder than I thought it'd be and I kept having to leave the room whenever she would start talking about babies/prep/etc. I feel like a terrible person that I can't just BE happy for her. I mean, I am so, so happy for her, but I just can't bear to talk about it just yet. I guess it made her upset because when she left, she was in tears. Now I feel like an awful sister. It's just a bad situation and I don't know how to fix it. *End TW*
CS/Q: Nothing yet.
GTKY: What would be your perfect Sunday?
Sleeping in, going to the beach or somewhere warm and reading a book.
Well, I thought today was going to feel "normal" until I decided to grocery shopping at Sam's Club.
The combination of a very packed store, seeing babies in car seats/carts and pregnant women everywhere threw me into an anxiety/panic attack. I have never had one, but I had to leave the store quickly. My heart was racing, was short of breath and I felt so stressed and I have no idea why. Fortunately, after sitting in my car for a few minutes I calmed back down. I am back home now and feel fine. I don't know what happened, but I hope it doesn't happen again.
I'm so sorry @dragonfly87, *hugs* Having that reaction is totally normal, your heart is so fragile right now and it's all still so new. I'm glad you got out of there and were able to have a minute to breathe in your car. So many hugs to you.
@TravelingCouple Thanks for the kind response. It caught me completely off guard and I was surprised. I ended up spending the day yesterday with my friend and her 9 month old daughter, and I was completely fine. So I didn't think being in a store would trigger such a strong reaction.
@rainbowturtles Having extra long cycles are meh! For now this makes sense to me. I just know that my months and cycles are never going to be textbook and I'm pretty sure AF won't show up until January.
TravelingCouple: haha that's awesome about the abstaining from sex! We had a similar experience last night. We essentially abstained during the last week of the TWW (in November) because I had crazy insomnia and was exhausted and then didn't have any last due to the CP....so last night was the first time in two weeks! I was hesitant...but it was great! Too bad FW hadn't started yet....
@jpearl2307 aww I'm sorry, I was hoping your last 50 day cycle was a one-off and not a regular occurrence ((hugs)) eta: and its okay if your month and cycle don't match, I think the confusion was just with two months and only day 19 of your cycle. But if those 19 days span through two months...ie nov to dec...then I totally get it and please ignore me lol I think we all calculate it slightly differently and as I said before, it's no biggy. Now my head hurts from trying to explain myself lol It makes no difference to me, I was just attempting to answer your question :P
@lulu1180 I agree completely, seeing those ladies graduate always adds a little glimmer of hope. And I hear you, I want to be active and lparticipate, but I also want to crawl under my rock and only come out for long term ttc things.
@adirat Thank you for the hugs lady!! I missed you!
@rainbowturtles I welcome questions! I am a total newb at TTC! I was told at my last obgyn appointment I may have to be on Clomid since I have irregular cycles. I cycle b/w 29-50 days w/an average of 40D cycle according to my app. eta: I appreciate you answering my questions btw!
Thanks everyone for the feedback on the Wondfos. I did another OPK this morning and had the same result- a very light line, nowhere close to the positive control. It looks like this may be what I see as a negative when I use them.
@dragonfly87 haha that's what DH said, too bad it wasn't in our FW! We may try EOD this cycle to go for less pressure throughout FW and help our stamina. Forced/timed sex is definitely not as fun.

Dinner with freinds and bed time before a twin-nado meltdown. Oh and someone other than me cleaning my house, though that would be an amazing thing any time!
I'm on mobile so answering sucks, I'll try to come back on my laptop later. HIO to those of you with fertile CM and or +OPKs!

Here's more info, I am curious that if I am calculating this right. We decided to start trying around November 1st. AF made an appearance on November 23rd after a 50D cycle. I think O was yesterday so my cycles are irregular. Anyways this makes me think we are Month 2 w/1 cycle.
Edited to include info

@zwink1 yes, my test yesterday the lines were about equal, today the second line was lighter, so here's to HIO!

Month/Cycle: 12/15

WAYDTGKU: monitoring cm, prenatals, tracking cycles, lots of sex, healthy changes for both DH and I (but not temping/charting at this time)
R/R: I'm a little excited because had EWCM yesterday and HIO when DH got home and again this morning. Also it seems like my cycles are getting a bit longer which I think is good. I was 21-23 days pretty much every cycle for the past few years. Last two have been 26 days and the one before was 24. I'm hoping this is a positive.
CS/Q: Nada!
GTKY: What would be your perfect Sunday? Depends on the Sunday. I love a nice boozy Sunday brunch with friends from time to time
But when it is cold out the perfect Sunday is sleeping in and staying in my pjs all day reading or watching movies.
I don't have much time today to respond because I am supposed to be studying (key word - supposed). I just want to thank everyone who sent positive notes yesterday and thank you all for being so welcoming

@zwink1. I'm in a FF league too--the only girl. I'm first in my division so I have a bye week too!
@juliebeannn Yay! Fx for you!!!
Month/Cycle: 13/13
CD: 11
I don't know what happened, but I hope it doesn't happen again.
eta: and its okay if your month and cycle don't match, I think the confusion was just with two months and only day 19 of your cycle. But if those 19 days span through two months...ie nov to dec...then I totally get it and please ignore me lol I think we all calculate it slightly differently and as I said before, it's no biggy. Now my head hurts from trying to explain myself lol It makes no difference to me, I was just attempting to answer your question :P
@adirat Thank you for the hugs lady!! I missed you!
@adoo - okay good, get to it, lol!!
@purplg8r - woohoo, I have my fingers crossed you kick some major male ass in your league!
@TravelingCouple jealous over here!
eta: I appreciate you answering my questions btw!
