Basically just sleeping and carbs. And my H can come too, as long as he's amenable to sitting around eating bread and napping all day
@BertieMeetsGertie I'll be thinking about you tomorrow -- good luck. Let us know how it goes. Remind me, have you had luteal phase bloodwork done to see if it's low progesterone? (I'm not sure if u/s sees that, but that was the first thing my doctor thought of when I had spotting.)
R/R: the party last night was a blast! Tonight H & I are going to Epcot to try the holiday food booths and watch the fireworks show with the special holiday finale that's so loud you can feel it in your chest!

@LaurenEG14 DH and I finished decorating Friday night, I can't believe Christmas is only 2 weeks away!
@purplg8r I'm a little jealous of epcot. That sound like fun. As far as the ewcm, I usually have 1 or 2 days of ewcm before O. I do eod until I get ewcm and then ed until ewcm is gone. But each person has there own way of doing things. My way of looking at it is that I couldn't pass up on HIO on my most fertile days.

@purplg8r I have no idea when I will get results. I plan to call my doctor for results on Friday if I don't hear from her sooner. But, yay for EWCM for you! Typically people see the most EWCM right around O day (day before/day of ish). Personally, I would HIO today if you are seeing EWCM and skip tomorrow.
@lulu1180 Thank you, that means a lot I hope you hear tomorrow and it's either good news or something you can easily remedy. The waiting is the WORST. This is always appropriate for awaiting the doctor's call:

Apparently we only have one tank of gas and he was concerned he wouldn't have enough to clear snow this morning and later today. Girls, we live one block from a gas station. I love him dearly but sometimes his logic confuses me.
CS/Q:
GTKY: What would be your perfect Sunday? One where there is nothing that we have to get done. I think we'd start by going out for brunch. Then go home curl up with a good book and maybe some tea. At some point make dinner and have it be some sort of comfort food. End the night with a bubble bath.
@adirat thanks for the response about baby aspirin. No idea if I have any blood issues since my OB won't do any tests unless there is a future issue. So I guess I will wait to look into using it.

GTKY: What would be your perfect Sunday?

WAYDTGKU: bunch of stuff plus getting tea today and should start bbt up again tomorrow morning...geez I'm really resisting that one but wasn't "supposed to" this month but thought might be a good idea since seeing the OB mid cycle
R/R: just the fire again. It hasn't been as bad lately but we're supposed to check it if we get up in the middle of the night, which I'm really not a fan of...especially since I'm usually the one who pees in the middle of the night. So at 130 last night I put wood on and sat and stared at it for ten minutes waiting for the wood to light because there was only embers and then eventually went back to bed. H got up at 5 to use the bathroom, which is unusual for him, but he didn't even check the fire. When I found this out around 730am I asked why and he said because we're going out today. I was annoyed for a few reasons: I thought the whole point was to preserve propane and to keep us warm, which would include at night, and also then why not tell me not to bother with it last night so I didn't waste my time and interrupt my sleep so much.
My rave is he's out there shovelling snow already before breakfast, so I have to be grateful for that. Even if I'm chilly....lol
CS/Q:
GTKY: What would be your perfect Sunday?
Getting a BFP and then maybe being pampered all day?
@adirat Sounds like you have a pretty great Sunday underway! Enjoy!
@BertieMeetsGertie and @purplg8r Yay for EWCM! I'm a control freak, and like that part of my cycle best because it means actively doing something instead of waiting for something to happen.
Try not to stress out about the test tomorrow @BertieMeetsGertie - even if they do see something, at least then you can have a game plan to deal with it. Keeping my FX for you, @adirat and @lulu1180 sending lots of positive thoughts your way. Hope you all get good news, and quickly!

R/R: I love having a hot water bottle at my feet in bed, and last night when I was getting it ready, I completely spilled the boiling water all over my hand, especially my thumb. I'm lucky that it didn't blister much, but it still hurts this morning. I'd already been struggling with all the feelings from getting AF and did NOT need to round out the weekend with this.
CS/Q: How much tea do you guys drink, if you are using green tea or raspberry leaf tea?
GTKY: What would be your perfect Sunday? Sleeping in and then HIO with DH. Lazing in bed for a bit longer with our dog (we are beyond lucky - he hates mornings, and sleeps in longer than either of us). Having a nice brunch, and then jumping in the truck and driving up a mountain to find some snow for the dog to play in. Coming home after a few hours and having some wine while DH whips up an amazing meal.
@adirat I asked my gyn about progesterone testing and she said that there isn't sufficient research to support progesterone supplementation (if it is a luteal phase defect). If the u/s comes back clear, I might ask again because I didn't include my spotting after red flow ends on my spreadsheet I gave her. That was my fault that I didn't speak up during the appointment because she said counting the total spotting before AF and AF days was within normal range. But, I sometimes have 2-3 days of spotting after red flow ends, making my total bleeding days 9-11. My gyn brought up endometrial polyps as a cause of spotting, so that might be what she's looking for. @lulu1180 thanks for the heads up! That might be better for me.
Me: 31 DH: 32 Dating since: 11/17/2001 Married: 9/26/2009 TTC: June 2016
@BertieMeetsGertie I also have a friend who got bloodwork and it showed low progesterone after O (in LP) and she was very upset because her OB also said they don't supplement progesterone unless a pregnancy is confirmed. I kind of wondered why would they even test it then? But also does this mean that low progesterone in LP doesn't affect the chances of getting pregnant? So confusing
(possible TW) She said that part of the hesitation to prescribe has to do with inconsistent research on whether progesterone supplementation helps -- apparently progesterone supplements cause more BFPs but do NOT cause more take-home babies, so the thought is that you may be inadvertently sustaining an embryo that is not healthy and would be lost anyway. You're essentially delaying the inevitable. For me personally, I found this compelling because I would rather think it's a period than a loss. That's my preference, not to know. Not everyone feels the same way, though, I suppose.
She also doesn't like to prescribe progesterone before you've been confirmed to be ovulating and to have clear tubes, because the side effects can be troubling (not to mention a real mindfuck) and can mask other problems. I have a short luteal phase and was spotting 2 days before AF started. Per her suggestion, I started avoiding soy and reduced my exposure to estrogenic chemicals which got me up to 9 days (which is still short but is better) and reduced spotting to less than a day. My acupuncturist also recommended using a heating pad on the pelvic area during the luteal phase to keep yourself warm and fight the temp drop. No idea if any of these things are rigorously evaluated but they're pretty easy to implement.
@BertieMeetsGertie good luck with your U/S!!! I forgot to mentioned on yesterday's WTO board that my gyn decided not to do a workup yet bc I had spotting before TTC and had a workup then including U/S, transvaginal US and bloodwork and all was normal. **edited bc part deleted** Also, I remember feeling the same. In fact I was in a complete panic until they gave me the results bc I had a student doing mine and she kept making faces and leaving the room to talk to the attending...it freaked me out to no end. By the time I left I had myself convinced I would never have kids and a million other awful things. But it was all fine
@BertieMeetsGertie my gyn also said AF was within normal range counting the spotting. Out cycles seem very similar and it's a bit of a relief that we seem to be getting similar info from our docs. But so very confusing. I hope you get some answers and US goes well.
@jess0211 I'm in the same stage as you right now thinking that there's something horribly wrong and I'm never going to get KU
@BertieMeetsGertie Also just a heads up, I would suggest taking a panty liner to use after the u/s because of the gel they use for the internal u/s.
@purplg8r I have that same problem right now. I have so many Christmas movies/specials to watch in the next two weeks but also want to watch Netflix!
@adirat@LaurenEG14 I am a Browns fan (unfortunately). DH has season tickets with my dad and uncle (he's there now). It is definitely trying at time but we have some of the most loyal fans, even when we are facing a 0-16 season. I'm going to post and ghost bc we're out doing errands, but I have a wondfo OPK question. I'm CD10, and my temp took a decent dip the last two days, so I decided to check with an OPK, even though this would normally be early for O. I'm generally around CD15, but I had watery CM.
Anyway, this us my first time using wondfos, and I did see a light band, although it was not even close to the control. So, my question is, do you normally see a light line even when you're not having a LH surge yet? I know it's not positive, but I haven't tried them before today and don't know if this is kind of a baseline. I bought them from one of the recommended sellers on Amazon, so I'm not worried about fakes.

Since I've never gone off of just OPKs before should I assume O happens the day after a positive OPK? I know temping is the only way to truly confirm the day but jw to assume as close to O as possible
GTKY: What would be your perfect Sunday? relaxing, junk food, movies, snuggles with DH and fur baby
@coloradohiker: I have been using wondfos for two months and I get a light band no matter what day of my cycle. So I would consider it a negative and wait until it's as dark or darker than control
@ColoradoHiker yes there will always be a light second line. That test line should be just as dark as the control line for the test to be positive. If you look at the instructions it will show you what a negative, positive, and invalid test look like

@lulu1180 Thank you, that means a lot
P.S. You're a Browns fan? That is a true test of loyalty.
@lulu1180 Browns or Bears? (They have the same colors so I can't tell lol)
@stephann85 I still get nervous driving during the first big snowfall. Glad its Sunday! But it sounds like there's a chance of getting 10-14 inches on Friday too!

R/R: DH and I are going Xmas shopping today. I have bought nothing for Xmas yet - not a thing. So I have to go get some items checked off my list. Also, this month is the first month I am not going crazy about TTC. I am so chill about it and just going with the flow (for now).
CS/Q:
GTKY: What would be your perfect Sunday? This Sunday is pretty perfect. Slept in with DH, going shopping which always puts me in th Christmas spirit, then I'm going to curl up and relax with the book I'm reading !

R/R: The snow is really pretty here in northern Illinois, and I'm starting on Christmas cookies today. DH decided that he needed to shovel this morning even though we have a snowblower.

TW:
Rant: yesterday and today, I have been experiencing pelvic area pressure and occasional sharp pains. My HCG level had dropped to 1, so I am hopping this is unrelated and my body is just regulating rather their being some weird complication.
CS/Q: none
GTKY: What would be your perfect Sunday?
My usual. Wake up. Make breakfast. Clean the house with DH. Grocery shop. Complete food prep for the week. I like having Sundays to restart and recharge for the week.

TW- Rave: AF was very manageable after D&C cycle. I was so pleasantly surprised because I was expecting the the worst. It was just one heavy day, one medium day, and two light days.
Rant: I woke up with the worst headache this morning! OUCH!
CS/Q: Nothing to look at so far.
GTKY: What would be your perfect Sunday?
I can tell you that it WON'T be today since I have so much grading to do and grocery shopping and laundry. My perfect Sunday would be different depending on the seasons. For winter, I'd like a lazy day at home where I don't have to do chores and can just read.

GTKY: What would be your perfect Sunday?
My perfect Sunday would be a super lazy Sunday, movies and relaxing and ending it with a nice Sunday family dinner! Today my husband is working with a friend and I'm off to IKEA with my best friend while my dad watches the baby! Hopefully that will be relaxing!

GTKY: What would be your perfect Sunday?
Getting a BFP and then maybe being pampered all day?
ETA @BertieMeetsGertie I'll be thinking of you tomorrow!!!
@RedBreast35 That's great news that you may have O'd early - FX you get your CH soon!

WAYDTGKU: BBT/CM charting, PNV, herbs, OPKs, green tea, just picked up some raspberry leaf tea as well
R/R: I love having a hot water bottle at my feet in bed, and last night when I was getting it ready, I completely spilled the boiling water all over my hand, especially my thumb.

@FLAshley Thank you! Have a great Christmas shopping day!

@adirat @LaurenEG14 I am a Browns fan (unfortunately). DH has season tickets with my dad and uncle (he's there now). It is definitely trying at time but we have some of the most loyal fans, even when we are facing a 0-16 season. Someone actually created a Facebook event for a parade to celebrate our horrible losing season.

I'll be back later to post and catch up!
