I do! Tomorrow is my first OB appointment. I'm assuming they'll do a vaginal ultrasound - I sure hope so . . . not sure if I'll do blood work tomorrow or have to do that outside of the office. I'm high-risk due to my age, so I guess I'll get an earful about all of the testing they want me to have. I just really want to hear a heartbeat!!
YESSSSS I finally go here! My first "official" appointment is on Friday. H is coming with me. I'm getting an ultrasound and will hopefully hear the baby's heartbeat. We'll meet with the nurse afterwards if everything looks good to discuss what to expect for the rest of the pregnancy.
My first OB appointment is today (7 weeks, 2 days). I also went in for an early ultrasound on Friday because of some spotting. Baby measured exactly where it should be and had a heartbeat of 120. I can't seem to shake the worry though due to the spotting....which, I might add, probably wouldn't have been noticed by anyone else but me because I'm paranoid and looking for it.
My first OB appointment is tomorrow morning! I'm so excited and so nervous! Ready to get all the info since this is my first pregnancy so, I am not sure what to expect!
I go here now! My first OB appointment is Friday 12/9. H is coming with me as long as his work schedule cooperates. I'm not sure what to expect as this is my first pregnancy and first appointment with a new doctor. I believe we will get an ultrasound, and if not I'm going to push for one lol.

My first appointment is tomorrow! It's just the "intake" appointment, so I only see the NP and get bloodwork BUT I will get to schedule the first ultra sound at that one. So. Excited.
DD (1) is coming with me, so we'll see how she does...
My first appointment is in an hour and a half! Yay! Can't wait to see this little bean on the screen My husband and son (10 months) will be there too. I don't know how patient my son will be but it will be fun to have him there with us. My OB delivered him and hasn't seen him since. Fingers crossed for ONE healthy baby in there!
I have a follow up on Thursday. I had my appointment last Thursday and told them I had been spotting for 5 days (I had previously called and they just said to keep my appointment and go to the er if it gets worse or I'm cramping). The us showed a gestational sac but no baby inside. So we're going there on Thursday to see if there's been any changes. I did blood work Thursday and Saturday so I should be getting a call today with the results.
I'm trying not to stress, but the waiting game just sucks...
I had my first appointment today. They were able to get me in for a dating scan while I was on there! Heartbeat was 171. The u/s tech mentioned that there is a cyst on one of my ovaries they will have to watch. Has anyone else had this? Is it something I should be concerned about?
First appointment on Thursday. I'm so nervous. I want to be excited, but I'm not there yet. I think they will do an u/s (they did at the first appointments for my LOs) so I'm hoping to see a HB.

I was told I had a small cyst on my left ovary at my first US with DD- my CNM said it was nothing to worry about because it wasn't growing and I had a totally healthy pregnancy and got pregnant again with this baby with no issues. I think they are fairly common and it's only a problem if you have pain/it grows rapidly. No worries, mama.
I have my 8 week appt with another ultrasound. I had an appt last week and my Ob wanted to keep this appt. Hubby is coming with and looking forward to hearing the heartbeat.
I had my first OB appointment yesterday (first US was on Friday) and it was short and simple. My GP likes to do shared care so the OB told me since my GP is in my town (OB is 45 mins away) that I can continue seeing her for the time being. She said they will still discuss all my test results and such then I will officially solely see the OB starting at 30 weeks. So I ended up opting for that. I live in Canada and yesterday was snowy which means bumper-to-bumper traffic so my drive actually took an hour and 50 minutes rather than 45. It was brutal! For that reason too, I have no issues seeing my GP in my town through the winter haha! But the OB was nice and while she wasn't my sisters OB, she delivered my niece last winter. She has great reviews online and my sis said her and her resident were amazing.
Everything is good with baby! Measuring at an accurate size (for my projected due-date) and heartbeat is good! I go for my IPS in 2 or 3 weeks. :S
I had my dating scan yesterday. Everything looked good. Average measurement puts me at 7-9, but I'm just going to keep telling everyone 7-7, because I like it, and it's not like it matters. The tech said babies HR was fast. I don't remember if the old wives tale says that means boy or girl?
Thrilled my first appointment is FINALLY on Friday! That was a LOOOONG month to wait. I'm not sure if I'll have any scans or bloodwork, but I think I'll probably just make appt for both. I can't remember from my first pregnancy. Mom brain doesn't work well trying to remember 4 years ago lol.
2nd official appointment is on Thursday. This is my first official appointment with my OB versus my RE, and we will be doing an ultrasound and our Panorama NIPT. Looking forward to finding out gender and of course getting some peace of mind regarding possible issues. Most of all excited about seeing my little bean again.
Just saw my new obgyn. I did an annual exam plus a first ob. Saw the heartbeat! Confirmed the due date. We're very excited and also relieved it's just one fetus... I wouldn't handle multiples....
I had my first this morning. Baby measured perfectly to the day at 7w4d. We were able to see the heartbeat and it was at 151. Did some bloodwork which I'll get results from in a few days but everything looked great. I have a new OB and I really liked him a lot. Got a mountain of things to look at, which I'm about to start doing

I think the old wives tales say girl HB are faster (like above 140 or 150?) but that's probably right 50% of the time, haha. I love all the guessing stuff though!
Friday I have a recheck ultrasound with my RE. I should be a little over 9w. I had my first appointment 2 weeks ago and saw/heard the heartbeat but since I have previous losses, 1 being during week 8, they wanted to recheck to make sure.

Yesterday I had my second apppointment with my midwife. I had a slight drop in symptoms over the last week so was anxious to hear the heartbeat. At first she couldn't find it - like for 30 seconds and I was in a dead cold panic - but she found the little bear beating at 170 yay! I still feel kind of nervous about it but my midwife didn't appear overly concerned.
@AdaByron old wives tale says fast heartbeat for girls!
Quick update, I went in for my appointment today expecting the worst since I had had some bleeding and we saw an empty sac last week (when I should have been 7+2). Today we saw a tiny little munchkin inside with a 160 heartbeat!!!
Omg you guys I'm so freaking happy!! We're measuring 6+6 so my edd moved from 7-18 to 7-28.
I made a resident do a transvag US on me. I had a really weird feeling for some reason and she humored my crazy. She gave me a full emotional workup too as to why I was feeling so anxious, negative and pessimistic about this pregnancy which was unexpected. Honestly it was probably better than my regular OB appointments which seem to be all business, especially since there's a weird tension always since we all work together daily.

Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.
Had my appt today. They didn't see a hb at 6+4 so I'm very anxious. He was asking me about dates, but I'm sure of them. It's going to be a long 10 days waiting for another scan add in the bleeding/ cramping and I'm sort of a wreck. Why can't we have wine again?
@nikkiandchris I'm sorry your appointment today was scary. Just remember, it's still early. Your LO's heart just started beating and is tough to catch this early. I know it is impossible, but try to hang in there. Maybe try going for walks? Or if the cramping is too bad, distract yourself with TV or movies? Diving into someone elses problems on TV always helps me forget my own...
Anyone have extra fluid on their ultrasound and have to come back for a repeat ultrasound? Had my appointment today and they noticed extra fluid. Guess I'm not as far along as expected because they changed my due date to August 2nd also.
Wow, I can't believe how many of you had such early U/S! At my first appointment 2 weeks ago (I was 8 weeks then), my OB said no ultrasound until the 20week anatomy scan, unless there is a problem/concern before that. I'm getting anxious to see my tiny human!!
@kat0607 I know!! I go in for my first appt December 19th (I'll be just over 8 weeks) and they said we'll just discuss ultrasounds. I think my practice will do one in the first trimester, but it won't be until January. I just want to see this LO already!! It's making me especially nervous to tell family at Christmas, but I think we're just going to roll with it.
@RunRestRepeat we are planning on revealing to family (grandparents and extended) at Christmas too! My next appointment is Dec. 20 so I'm hoping and praying we at least get to hear the heartbeat, so I feel more confident telling them.
