My husband got his long awaited promotion (6months ago). I am so very proud of him! We plan to buy a home in about a year or so, we haven't decided where we want to live long term. We are all healthy and for that I feel so blessed
Celebrated 2 years of marriage with my husband yesterday, finally have our first "real" Christmas tree and whatnot in our own home and I will probably be able to take a bath without my toddler today. With the help of anti-nausea medication I've gained back my lost weight and then some and have a very obvious baby belly early this time around. There's always something to be thankful for.
I just feel like things have been great lately. I got an ew job in July after being miserable at my old one for years. We went to Bali in September, came back and found out I am pregnant. It's just been good.
I just did a really fun lesson with my (high school ESL) class. They performed a little play in class and really got into it. We recorded it, and I can't wait to show them on Monday.
I just got through a threenager tantrum without losing my cool. That's a definite win for me today.

I just got to spend the day with my out of town best friend! Her kids and my kids get along great, as do our husbands! It's always super nice to get to spend some time together!
The baby crib got put up today and it is gorgeous! It was also on sale Black Friday for $99! I never thought I would be so happy about getting a piece of furniture.
It's been a week since getting our toddler sleeping in his own bed! Super thrilled!
I'm excited to try new recipes for him, as well, and while I'm at it, I may try out some your cookie recipes! This is new because H is the main chef/cook in our house.
Today is our original anniversary of when H and I started dating. 13 years!!!
We took my son to play in the snow today and he had the BEST time! I wasn't sure how he would do, but he loved it. Watching him experience new things is my favorite thing ever.
Finally got the courage to send out our Christmas card with our announcement this week. If it was just me I would have waited until the end of the month but now that lots of people have received them today I'm feeling a lot better about sharing our news. It's exciting but scary as we are pretty private people and the whole pgal feeling never really goes away. Happy to have that over and found out a good friends sister is due 5 days before me.
I think about how blessed I am every time I look at my 3 yo and my becoming-more-patient-by-the-minute husband. I am so damn lucky. I have plenty to eat, a roof over our heads, beautiful friends and family close by, and good health.
And I just finished 3 weeks of working M-Sa in the ICU. I am so tired but so happy.
Just spent the evening watching Polar Express for the first time with my 5 and 2 year old! And they don't know it yet since it's a surprise but we are going on a real Polar Express train ride a couple days before Christmas! They loved the movie so I'm so excited to see their reaction on the real train. Seriously, Christmas is a million times more magical with your own kids!

Love this idea! Nice to read everyone's positive happiness! Life is good! I have 2 healthy boys and a healthy husband and a healthy pregnancy. Thank God. We are living in a home that we own and my husband works hard for us to have. I get to be home with my beautiful boys. It's nice to remember to be thankful!!
Life is good- God is good! My birthday is on Monday. It is also my two year old nieces so we had a joint family birthday. I was overly spoiled with a fancy new keurig, clothes, new make-up, gift cards for my next stitch fix box, and more. Today we drove around DC looking at my moms new projects, and she made her pizza. Best pizza in the world. This afternoon I walked around target by myself window shopping- hubby football team won, I took a great nap AND I think I am feeling the babe for the first time. So incredibly lucky!
MH and I had an awesome lazy day of watching Christmas movies and chatting about baby. He has been so quiet about the baby coming it was making me nervous but he was talking about how excited he was today. It was nice. He's such a guy who keeps his feelings inside so it's nice when he lets them out! Plus we watched Elf, Home Alone, and The Santa Clause.
I found out that a friend who I haven't seen in 3 years is coming into town for a surprise visit!! I'm so excited, even though we don't live near each other any more we are super close and have been through alot together. I'm so excited to see her.
We have a house under contract and if all goes well with negotiations post inspection, we will move in by early February. I'm just feeling constantly grateful these days for what we have and for what is to come.
Life IS good and I appreciate the encouragement to post about the good. We got our Christmas tree up and DS is very excited about it, even though he has no idea what it all means. We're also sponsoring a family this year (through a program in our city where foster families with kids in their care or kids who have recently transitioned back to their families from foster care are matched with sponsors who buy Christmas presents for them) and I bought a bunch of stuff for our family today. It felt really good being able to provide a bunch of much-needed stuff for three kids who obviously have been through a lot and I'm excited to make this part of our regular Christmas tradition.
This made my day. I've had a bunch of bad news this weekend so a little positive energy is needed. My good things: my DH just returned from a six week business trip and today is DD's 4th bday
I got a night in a hotel by myself followed up by a spa day and shopping this weekend. When I came home my 2 year old was happy with little to no meltdowns and even let us get through a dinner out at a restaurant. Oh and I finally found a winter coat!
My husband is finally hitting his dad stride. He's so much more confident with our son now and for the first time ever is super excited about Christmas. He's got this toddler thing down.
My etsy shop is doing well this Christmas season, which is nice as it is my second income. My mother's 66th birthday is today, and her last day of work is tomorrow as she RETIRES tomorrow. Plus today is the 1 year anniversary of adopting our fur baby, Dozer
My best friend had her first OB appointment yesterday, and her baby is measuring right on time with a healthy heartbeat! She'll be a July mom. I'm so excited to have babies only 2 months apart. We go camping and to the beach together, and I can't wait to take our families on joint vacations!

Ah! I love this thread! It's so nice to see what's going on in everyone's lives!
Similar to many of you, my DS (2) is really experiencing Christmas for the first time this year and it is SO. FUN. And for as challenging as the 2-3 year age group seems to be, I'm really enjoying it way more than I did his baby stage. It's ridiculously exciting seeing him turn into a little person with opinions, preferences, and thoughts on the world.
Additionally, I just love the holiday season and pretty much everything about it. I've contributed to a bunch of smaller, local charities this year and it makes me so happy to be able to help others have a nice holiday season.

Exciting! My best friend has her first one on Friday and would have a end of July early August baby! It's so fun to be pregnant with a close friend!

My niece (2) has been in a chest to ankle cast (hip dysplasia) for a little over 3 months now and we just found out she will finally get it off in 3 weeks. I can't wait to see her run around again.
Wow this is wonderful! DH finished his clinical hours and the forms have been sent in for him to be completely done with training. It has been a crazy long road (6 years) and I am so beyond excited to move on. This summer he will finally take clients AND be paid for them!! Also we took DS (1) to see the reindeer at the library last night and he was so excited about the crowd of people and the little kids that he just did laps around the pen happily shouting at everyone. It was adorable!!
@kipperoo that is exactly how I feel! I love, love, love the holidays anyway but it is so fun to see just-turned-two DS get so excited about them. Although we have been reading How the Grinch Stole Christmas to him and may have overdone it because the last few days he has been very concerned about the Grinch coming to our house. Oops.
We had our anatomy scan today and baby boy is healthy and growing right on track where he should be. He's even about 3 oz bigger than "average" so its possible he might be a chunker like his sister and be an 8-9 pounder as well
