  • @catybug820 - I hope you feel better.

I've been sick over a week too. Started coughing up green mucus last night, which is on the "must call" list I was given. So I called my midwife this morning and they want me to see my PCP. She said they might put me on antibiotics  :/ .

Waiting for PCP's office to call me back. Apparently my provider is on vacation this week, so I'll have to see someone else. I just want the coughing to stop. It hurts so bad.

  • @catybug820 & @RunBooRun I saw my PCP yesterday for the sinus issues. I've been coughing up and blowing out thick green mucous for 3 weeks now. I tried to pass it off as pregnancy rhinitis but when I started throwing up because of it, I called uncle. I'm on 10 days of amoxicillin and was told this "was not going to clear up on its own."

  • I'm also suffering a sinus infection (going on 4 weeks now), but my dr told me there was nothing she could do for me because of the antibiotic allergies I have :/ It's been miserable, but it's finally starting to go away.

That sucks!! Have you tried a netipot?

  • @DrillSergeantCat - glad they could help you. FX that it clears up quickly!

My pcp sent me to urgent care. They said that it seems like just a cold, so I have to keep suffering through it. Just glad there's no signs of pneumonia or bronchitis, which is what they were worried about.

  • DS and I are both sick with a head cold but DS has decided not to nap today. This is also the worst sore throat I can remember having. It hurts in my nose?!? Already told DH it's a take out night. Counting the hours to bedtime...

  • Tonight was the first time a customer asked me how far along I am...my bump is officially past the questionable phase!

I bought a netipot yesterday! Never used one before last night and it felt super awkward but I'm willing to try anything at this point to help with my cold lol

Lol today I noticed everyone looks me in the bump instead of the face. I almost said, "I'm up here," to a co-worker then decided it was inapproptiate, lol.

  • @serenity13 my DD slept in a rock n play for first 4 months or so , no issues here.

@RunBooRun try yummy mummy.com that's where I got mine 100% covered through Aetna and there is a drop down menu to select your insurance carrier . This is my 2nd pregnancy in 2 years so I did not get a new pump this time around but I got all new parts and tubing completely covered by insurance
I have Aetna insurance too but on the phone they told me that they don't cover breast pumps unless I have a covered medical reason from the dr. Boooo... my plan must be different than yours.

  • @korpisar I'd keep working at it and find out what the covered medical reasons are for sure... unless you're on a grandfathered plan the ACA should make your insurance cover a breast pump (although not necessarily a hospital grade or even electric one). Not sure about Aetna but I've been told multiple times over the phone by our insurance things are NOT covered when their website lists it as covered (and then it's covered).

  • Thanks @sunshine507 I did request they email me the policy on what qualifies as a medical reason.

  • @korpisar my insurance requires a simple rx for the breast pump. I hope it's that easy for you.
  • Thanks @Gators&BoSox! I hope so too - it would be nice to have a new one!

  • Ugh - I just knew the Spectra pump was on my list of options from my insurance company and so I hadn't even researched any others because I knew that was the one that I wanted. It isn't on there. Not sure what I thought I was looking at. :(

  • Tonight my son asked to nurse for the first time in a week. I said, "Oh, I don't think we do that anymore." He just sighed a laid his head in my shoulder. The end of a chapter.  :'(
I kind of wish weaning was this easy for me. I'm sorry you're sad a chapter is closing, it's hard moving on from little stages. My daughter gave me hell for over a week... She was a couple months over 2 years old and it had to be done for my sanity but man it was hard! It actually made me second guess if I ever want to nurse a baby again!
  • Does anyone have fleece-lined maternity leggings/yoga pants they like?
Winter is cold. I am unprepared.

  • @sunshine507 i got a pair from motherhood maternity but I hate them. They have a weird saggy crotch/bottom issue.. but I still wear them bc they were 5 bucks and I refuse to pay more for another pair. But you might wanna try yours on before blindly ordering online like I did  :/
  • @sunshine507 I haven't found maternity ones I like. I prefer my non-maternity ones in a larger size.
  • Non maternity yoga and sweats, love Victoria's Secret. I've been wearing them all pregnancy.
  • Need a moment to vent. So we put an offer on a house outside of Portland on Sunday and the agent we were working with called on Monday and said that he spoke with the agent for the builder, and they said that they received another offer and wanted to see if we wanted to increase ours. My husband and I looked at each other and said hell no. First of all, my husband has been in sales for years and he knows this BS game very well. Our agent was saying that he was confused because normally when another agent/realtor shows a house to someone, they'll leave their card on the kitchen counter. It's an unspoken rule that they all follow, and when my husband saw the house last Friday, there wasn't another card there, as well as when we saw the house on Sunday. We were there until about 2:30 on Sunday, and considering it gets dark around 4:30, we're pretty sure no one else came and saw the house and then put an offer on it the same day we did. The house has also been listed since June, so it's pretty suspicious that they'll magically get 2 offers in one day during the slow season. Stuff like this pisses me off. Yes, we came in low on our offer and we asked for other things to be done as well, so we were pretty sure they weren't going to accept our offer, but we figured it could be a starting point. For them to say that they got another offer and could we increase our own offer is a bunch of crap and it makes us not want to go with this builder. If they came back and said something along the lines of, we don't accept this offer, but we will accept x, y, or z, then we can work with that and start to negotiate. But outright lying to get us to increase our offer doesn't sit well with us. It sucks because this builder makes beautiful homes and has the type of floor plans that fits exactly what we want, but their way of going about selling sucks and I'm not sure if we should walk away. Our agent said that we should know something the next day, but we didn't hear from him yesterday. Hopefully he calls today, but we're thinking that the other agent was banking on us increasing our offer and since we didn't they have to figure out their next move. That's what happens when you lie! Honestly is the best policy folks.
  • that's obnoxious, you're completely right. i'd call them out on their bs.

I am feeling so exhausted today. My toddler is having a WEEK. I didn't want to cook dinner, was going to throw in the towel and tell H to grab pizza on his way home.  But then FIL called to ask to come see DD after work... so because I'm proud I instead got off the couch and am now making dinner while he plays with DD to look like a good hardworking housewife. Haha. Really wanted to ignore his phone call and go with the pizza and couch option instead.
I feel you. This also might be my last week I get to eat pizza. Waiting for my glucose results and tonight my SO's sister came down from out of town to hangout with DD an hour before I had to leave for work. They ordered pizza, bread sticks, and brownies! I just want to be lazy and hangout with he 3 of them instead of being productive (or not productive) at work tonight. One of those days...
  • @Burrberrymum I hope tomorrow is a better day for you ... hang in there!
