So far this pregnancy has basically mirrored my last. Same progesterone issues in the beginning. Spotting. Diagnosed with GD at 7w. It's going by a LOT slower though. I'm 16+w and haven't felt any movement (tilted uti so that's probably why). Not showing. If I didn't have to finger prick after every meal and do insulin every night and eat every 3 hours....I would totally forget I'm pregnant. I'm a log this pregnancy compared to my last. Between work and DS I just don't have the time or energy to work out. Vs with my last pregnancy when I had no children yet I was swimming at least on the weekends. Now I'm lucky to get a walk in on a Saturday and Sunday morning.

@LuckyAngie I'm in the same boat with working out. I feel like such a slug but I just don't have time or energy during the week. The few times I've been able to work out I've had to get up at 4:30 am, and that just isn't sustainable.

This pregnancy hasnt been much different than with my son aside from morning sickness being much easier on me this time. Im actually convinced that I had HG and was just dismissed with my complaints because I was a first time mom and young so I wasnt taken seriously with anything, even when I went into labor nobody believed me until I was standing in the hospital parking lot doubled over and crying because ow. I'm also just starting to feel my baby at 17 weeks when I felt my son at 14 weeks last time, and of course my belly is a lot bigger quicker this time round.
I dont have any super special holiday plans for me and my son. We're going to my grandmas on christmas eve for a little get together, Im setting up a hot chocolate bar and its everyones responsibility to bring some christmas treats with them. We'll probably listen to christmas music, socialize, exchange a few gifts with those we wont be seeing Christmas day. Im not sure what our Christmas day plans are. Might go to the in laws for dinner but shes really getting on our nerves posting vague hints on facebook about my pregnancy when we asked her not to post about it yet as we havent announced. Might just go out for something to eat and then head home and watch some Christmas movies and snuggle.

So far this pregnancy has been pretty similar to my first, practically no symptoms either time other than fatigue. This time I think I'm a little more run down but I'm assuming that's due to chasing around my DD all day. Lol. She just turned 13 months and is VERY active. I haven't felt any movement yet at 17 weeks which is later than with my 1st pregnancy. This time my placenta is in the front. We get our anatomy scan in two weeks which I'm super excited for. We are hoping for another girl since they will be so close in age.
We're excited about the holiday season since this year we will get to see our DD get all excited about her presents. It was so much fun watching her tear into bags on her birthday. She has a severe dairy allergy but I'm a professional baker so I'm actually having fun creating and tinkering with new dairy free/vegan recipes. She's also very excited about the old claymation Christmas movies. I think she would watch them all day if I let her!
This year we are having Christmas with my family early so that we can leave on Christmas day to make a 9 hour trip to stay a week with my husbands family, which we do every other year. Traveling on Christmas day is the best since there isn't any traffic. I'm excited about all of the after Christmas shopping since DH's family lives near a big city. Especially since we will have just found out what the baby is.
Very similar pregnancy so far, I'm 15w5d today. No morning sickness, no food cravings or aversions. Not really showing yet either, totally passes off as my standard poochy tummy (esp during holiday season) so maternity clothes not needed yet - which reminds me I need to find that stash. I'm not feeling any movement yet either, though I can't recall how far along I was when I first felt my first little. I am more tired at the end of the day, which I experienced with my first. The sore hips when sleeping seems to have started a tad earlier, and I've had a couple mild instances of RLP but not regularly. I do seem to piddle easier lately, which I don't recall happening this early, so I had to break out the liners. No signs of rhinitis yet either, which I had pretty remarkably with my first.
No special holiday plans, just the typical visiting all the family.

Help STMs! Last night, my 16 month old woke up in the middle of the night. Changed his diaper and tried giving him a bottle but he refused, which he had never done. He actually put it in his mouth and then took it out and handed it back to me. ??? He just cried and cried and was restless. Me holding and cuddling him didn't help either. He isn't sick... may be teething and is going through leap 10 (stormy week 1-2). I gave him teething crackers and he finally drank some water from his sippy cup. He finally fell asleep next to us for a hours. He woke up his normal self but didn't want a bottle or water this morning. He didn't want solid food at breakfast either. He just wanted puffs, veggie creamies, and teething crackers. All day, still refusing bottle andvtaking sips of water here and there. What's going on? I need your wisdom! I posted this in randoms/questions thread too!
@mrsrep123 I stopped bottles at 12 months but it sounds like his mouth does hurt so maybe the pressure form suction to drink from the bottle is painful? Try small bits of milk or water in a regular cup or a soft tip sippy. Honestly though if he's still wetting some diapers I wouldn't stress too much, they have weird days here and there.
I too also stopped all bottles by 10 months. Try a sippy, it might be easier for him. But I agree it sounds like his mouth hurts so probably teething. Plus toddlers have super picky days with eating related to grow spurts, teething, or just being a toddler! One day they might like something and the next day they want nothing to do with it, totally normal.

Thanks @WombThereItIs and @h&pmomma. He uses a soft spout and hard spout sippy cup during the day with meals for water but never tried his toddler formula in there (lately only using the hard spout). Last night we busted out the soft spout and still didn't want his milk. But he did drink water from it last night and this morning. Whew! I even tried giving him the Ripple plant based milk alternative yesterday with his hard spout sippy cup but he didn't even try it... so I'll offer it again but in his soft spout.
It was just such a whirlwind yesterday as he had never refused to drink anything and we were just super worried. Hoping for a better day!

Soft spouts are easier to get liquid out of, it basically drips out so it might be easier for him if his mouth is hurting!

This pregnancy has been totally different! Although I felt movement sooner with this one, the movements were stronger sooner before (probably cause it took me so long to notice them). Looks like it will take about the same amount of time to start showing- right now I have what I call a "disappearing belly", if I don't eat you don't see it. Morning sickness was way worse this time around and all I'm feeling is aches and pains.
I know a good number of you can relate. We're officially in that phase where DD keeps pulling her pants down and diaper off. DH didn't even notice on the monitor that she had taken off her pj pants, diaper and socks and threw them out of the crib. Thankfully the bed was dry by the time I checked on her. Oh potty training is going to be SO much fun.

@pshaortao one of my friends had this issue for a LONG time with her son. Every morning and every day after nap she was cleaning up his whole bed/ floor by the bed. She got some footie pjs, cut the feet off, and put them on him backwards. He couldn't get them off! (For night time, obviously, wouldn't work as well during the day )
@Squirtgun I've heard of this trick! I will definitely keep it in mind. We ran out of clean zip up jammies but we haven't seen her try to take them off with the zipper in the front.
DD2 is a Houndi nudist and while she is potty trained she is not night trained. I have to wash her sheets atleast twice a week. I have even taped the tabs to her diaper and she still stripped down. She only manages to get one arm out when we put her footless footie pjs on backwards. I think she enjoys the challenge.
@pshaortao and @RainyDays86 reading the "we ran out of..." comments and have to chuckle as I sit in a bathing suit bottom while the load of socks/undies is in the dryer.
