  • Who's having/has had twins?

  • When I get THO, my nipples are so dang painful. It almost feels like they are tearing or something.

I was outside in the cold for about 15 minutes on Sunday. When I got in the car, I had the tearing feeling. It was so bad that I had to literally hold and massage my boobs to warm those puppies up.

On my left one, the pain felt like hot water on cold toes, but radiating through my entire breast. When I looked at my nipple, it had literally turned white due to the cold. Apparently the extreme pain and whiteness due to lack of blood flow are a combination side effect some people experience during pregnancy.

    Bodies are weird.
  • @swanbrooner Look up Raynauds (sp?). I hadn't heard of it until, surprise, I had it with breastfeeding. Awful.
  • @swanbrooner huh! I never knew that. Thats so.... odd  but at least you're not alone! is this your first pregnancy?

@MotherofDragons that is what I found through my Dr. Google degree! I got worried when I saw it was white and that was the only explanation I could find coupled with the pain when cold. It's really no fun. Did it cause problems for you when breast feeding?

    @BethK93 This is #1!
  • Does anyone know if melatonin is safe during pregnancy?  The insomnia is killing me

  • @swanbrooner No issues at all, thankfully. Just discomfort with temperature changes. If I was cold or got into the hot shower, it would cause some pain. Early on it was worst but I got used to it.
  • @BethK93 I'm having twins!

  • @awillis13 I take 3mg of melatonin every night. My OB said it was perfectly safe to continue throughout pregnancy. :)
  • @BethK93 - Hello from OR! Whereabouts? (I don't post much, but I'm pretty much a pro-lurker.)

  • This is probably dumb to worry about but I think I should be showing more at 12 weeks than I am.  This is my second baby so I feel like I should have a bump already.  It's still just bloat and it's making me paranoid.

  • @kdanjou if baby is sitting differently, you could show later! And it's not dumb, it's a valid concern. Baby will be ok!

@babytuck15 Salem! I was a lurker a lot in the beginning of my last pregnancy, but it's so much more fun to join in!

  • So I knew it was likely coming but my son has officially weaned right around 12 weeks. Hes 20 months so I am proud of the time we made it and it was gradual but its still a little bitter sweet.
This pregnancy Ive lost about 5 lbs. Im thinking it might be because of the weaning. Has anyone else experienced weight loss from weaning during pregnancy? I plan to ask my midwife at my next appointment.

This might be a FFFC, but I love going to TTGP and reading the TWW and Grad threads.

I lurked there a long time ago and intro'd but got pregnant right away so just left. Well I got addicted to reading people's posts and going back the next day to see if they tested and what happened. I don't even know these girls and I sit there and am like "I hope so and so got their BFP!" And then I like reading when they come back to check in. I know we have a couple of girls here.

This pregnancy I have been doing it again!
    THIS!
I was only active for our last month of TTC so I don't consider myself a regular over there and don't feel I'm one who should be checking in, but I still love lurking and supporting those women.

I stay current on the weekly post from the grads in our group too. :)

  • Ok good! Glad I'm not the only one! Lol!!
  • I went to the doctor today and all is well...she told me to get a belly band but not what type of brand I was wondering if anyone had one to recommend. She also told me to get a snoogle but that is a specific brand so that is easier. Thanks for any help!

  • God I'm just so winded. I bent over to get my chapstick out of my purse this afternoon and got winded. It doesn't help that I have a cold and can't breathe through my nose, but still.  This is just beyond words pathetic.
  • I was supposed to go see my grandma the day after christmas to visit for 4 days. But she just contracted Shingles. I'm so sad... I miss her, I lived with her for a year and was really looking forward to seeing her. :disappointed:

Same here. I carried DD up the stairs to change her diaper today and was breathing SO hard. She's only a year old but she looked a little concerned lol
  • @amberp1528 Target carries a Belli band that is affordable. I don't know how it "stands the test of time," but it works for now. I just got one and use it often before laundering. I put a snoogle on my Christmas list because I've seen so many people commenting on it.

My three year old comes to work with me to go to preschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays. My classroom is on the third floor and the cafeteria is in the basement. She asked if I could carry her up the stairs after lunch because she was getting tired. No, sweet girl, no mommy can't. I tried it the other day and almost died. I feel bad though because she looked all sad and asked if she was getting too big.

I had one of the belly bands from target but being a size 14-16, I didnt find it comfortable (I loathe tight things). Just today I found a plus size one on jcpenney.com so I ordered that to see if I like it! After discounts I think it was like $13. They had it in regular size too though.

I didn't wean during pregnancy, but when I stopped breastfeeding, after 2 years, I gained 8 pounds.
