Symptoms? RLP in left lower ab area. It gets worse with running, and extended walking. I started using my belly band on top of my maternity pants to give some support. I'm going to try running with it tonight.
Rant/Rave/Questions? My husband and DSS painted the Nursery over the weekend, and our stroller came in. 2 tangible steps closer to being ready for our little girl. We've got 4.5 months left, which seems like a ton of time to most, but these 5.5 months have flown by so fast- it feels good to finally make some preparations.
GTKY: What is one thing you love about motherhood? FTMs, what is something are you looking forward to about being a mom? I've enjoyed being a stepmom for 15 years, and have been very involved in my DSS life- but I'm really going to enjoy not having to give this one back every other weekend.
Symptoms? Still all this pelvic pain and RLP. Heartburn. Absolutely crazy vivid dreams. Some lightheadedness when standing.
Rant/Rave/Questions? Super excited to be driving my new car today for the first time. Loving how much better it is than my old one. Feels good to have accomplished something for baby.
GTKY: What is one thing you love about motherhood? FTMs, what is something are you looking forward to about being a mom? Confession: I have never liked kids that much. But always wanted to be a mom. I think having my own will help me appreciate other little ones. That kind of sounds like a terrible thing to say. Lol. But it's true--I look forward to a family with DH and getting to know the first little person I'm blessed to have call me mom one of these days.
@HGRich This may come off completely wrong, but I hate kids too, hahaha! I love my own and would love to have a million. But other people's kids get on my nerves!
Appointments this week? none- I might get my teeth cleaned if there's an opening
Symptoms? I almost passed out this morning. Have felt light headed ever since. besides that, just some back pain that comes and goes
Rant/Rave/Questions? none today!
GTKY: What is one thing you love about motherhood? FTMs, what is something are you looking forward to about being a mom? ftm- I'm just excited about everything. and it'll be a nice step in life for DH and i. I'm also excited to see him as a dad. I know he will be a great one
Grapefruit. Really, Bump?? In what world is a grapefruit approximately 11.3 inches and larger than a coconut?
No appointments this week.
Heartburn. Hot flashes. Random head and arm numbness while doing nothing (sitting). Nasal congestion. Lots of movement - he seems to react to loud noises now.
Rave: DH is assembling the dresser for the nursery now. He hung the baby's curtains and painted his lamp this weekend. I love seeing things come together.
GTKY: I know it won't always be pleasant (and can be downright stressful) but right now I look forward to all of it to include sleepless nights and poopy diapers...I feel so incredibly blessed to be having a successful pregnancy.
I am starting to feel stressed and pressured to get everything ready for little man. We are slowly working on clearing out the extra room that will be his nursery, but there is so much to still do. I'm also beginning to worry more and more about who will take over my class when I'm on maternity leave.
GTKY: What is one thing you love about motherhood? FTMs, what is something are you looking forward to about being a mom? FTM here, I seriously cannot wait to hold my baby and feel that overwhelming love!
Appointments this week? Nope! We did a private ultrasound on Saturday though and found out we're having a little girl!
Symptoms? I came off diclegis as suggested by my dr and I spent all day yesterday throwing up every hour on the dot whether I ate, drank or not. I think it's safe to say I'll be on it for a good while more.
Rant/Rave/Questions? rant: I'm so over morning sickness
GTKY: What is one thing you love about motherhood? FTMs, what is something are you looking forward to about being a mom? : I can't wait to meet our little lady and to finally hold her. Also can't wait for baby snuggles and to see DH be a daddy
4. Exhaustion, pretty sure this is how it will be the rest of my pregnancy since I have 2 kids. Lol. My skin is clear again finally.
5. My dr who helped me get pregnant with all my babies retired today. I'm happy for him but so sad. He is such a lovely person and truly an irreplaceable dr. I have PCOS and he got to the root cause of it and put me on a few supplements and my body aligned and I got pg with DD1 after over 2 yrs of IF. I called to speak to him tiday to say goodbye and told him I feel like I owe the fact that I'm a mom to him.
6. I can't pick just one. I adore the newborn phase. It's such a sweet time. So exhausting for mama, but so fleeting. Try to remember how shortlived it is when you are in the trenches of sleeplessness.
I also love giving birth. It's so incredibly empowering. Such a connecting moment with my partner. When it took a long time to conceive this babe I kept feeling sadness about the possibility of not birthing again.
i love BFing. It's so incredible to watch your baby chunk out and know it's 100% from you! It's also an amazing connection that can't be replicated by any other experience.
and even after all those things are in the past, the snuggles remain. I'm lucky to have two really good snugglers.
Appointments this week? Nope - not for another week.
Symptoms? None really lately - started feeling the baby moving and I love love love that!
Rant/Rave/Questions? Got the new mom mobile (not really just an SUV but still that's how it makes me feel) and DH got DS' new room pretty much all set up. Just need to finally move his clothes and secure all the furniture and it'll be ready for him. Makes me so excited to start on the nursery now!
Also... I ordered bows for the first time. I'm kind of dying of excitement and anxiously waiting for them to come!!
GTKY: What is one thing you love about motherhood? FTMs, what is something are you looking forward to about being a mom? I love all of the cuddles and the cute random things that come out of DS' mouth. Last night at dinner he stood up in the booth, grabbed both sides of my face, put his forehead on mine and told me he loved my face. I died laughing. Those are the moments I seriously live for.
Heartburn, still have random puking some mornings, still exhausted, I don't sleep great at night.
I'm feeling our little guy kicking pretty often now. DH has even gotten to feel him too. DS says he's felt baby brother kick but I'm not sure he has. I don't think he's sat still near me long enough yet to actually feel him kick.
Oh my...it's really hard to pick one part of motherhood I love. Can I say that so far I've loved all of it besides potty training?!? DS has his moments of not listening and such but it's typically followed by something extremely sweet.
How far along are you? 20 Weeks. I'm late to check in but excited to reach the halfway point!
How big is baby? Banana
Appointments this week? Thursday I have a check up/ follow up for the a/s. Plus I need to hear that my little one is doing well
Symptoms? I don't think I have many pregnancy symptoms this week, just regular sick symptoms. I broke out in hives not sure if that is pregnancy related or not
Rant/Rave/Questions? I'm stressed out about being sick and having to take medication. I can't wait for Thursday to get some reassurance from my doctor. I think I might be feeling flutters but I am not sure. It feels like little muscle twitches
GTKY: What is one thing you love about motherhood? FTMs, what is something are you looking forward to about being a mom? I just can't wait to be a family and to be able to hold that little one.
