Yeah this is my 4th IVF and I've done 7 transfers. First IVF was positive and I only ever felt dizzy and was certain It didn't work and didn't test. Sadly I lost it. The others I got my period before I could test except the last which I used PiO just so I wouldn't get my period! I'm crossing my fingers for you!

@kangastein ugh i'm so sorry for ur loss, I can't imagine how devastating that was and is for you! with my IUI AF showed right on time that it really never gave me time to test either. This has been a roller coaster of a ride and journey! Thank you, i'm crossing everything and really praying this could be eat! Some days I think 100% how can i not be and then other days not so much. Whatever i was feeling I thought would get stronger and its just not, probably why I'm doubting myself. Have you been with the same RE for all your cycles? You did have success, so hopefully that magic will happen again for you this cycle!

I'm hoping so too, yes I stayed at the same RE the entire time and just recently switched to his partner. Symptom spotting is always touch and go, for a few cycles I would get upset when my boobs stopped hurting after the hcg shot would leave my system, of course it was just that!

WOW I don't think I've ever had to write those 2 letters before - but i got the call and i finally have my BFP. I can't believe i get to write those words, still feels like i'm dreaming to be honest. I took a stick test right before and saw the faintest of lines so I was terrified even more! Ive never even seen a faint anything so i was getting excited but nervous too. My Beta is at 286 and i go back thursday for my second beta. PRAYING HARD it doubles, would love for it to triple to maybe indicate i have more then one bean. I know i'm getting greedy, but a girl can dream

Thanks to all for the support, praying this is one hurdle down and then on to the next.

Well I go in for my baseline tomorrow. I'm desperately trying to be optimistic, but I'm just not. Plus I'm sad because I had to put my 19 y/o cat to sleep on Monday. I really hate 2016, I'm looking for something good to come out of this last month.

I'm a little concerned that AF hasn't come. I was on bcp for a long time and stopped on Sunday and expected it to come by now. I wonder if this will be a problem for tomorrow.

Ugh sorry to go on, I'm just a little anxious

@Kirstencas- Good luck on your baseline tomorrow. So sorry to hear about your cat I really hope that this one is your cycle!! I will be here cheering you on!

AFM, I have had my 3 consults and I will definitely be leaving my current RE. I really liked the second RE and she is in network and 45 mins from my work. However, I loved the third RE but she is 2 hours from work and out of network (which would be an extra $3-4k). She also suggested trying testosterone priming, instead of estrogen priming. She has only had 1 patient she has done it with, but they got 10 eggs vs 2 the time before. Has anyone ever tried testosterone priming? I feel like she would go with EPP if I preferred that though. I don't know who to go too now and I am so scared about making the wrong decision!

@kirstencas I'm so sorry to hear about your cat! Thankfully there is less than 1 month left in 2016 and fingers crossed 2017 will be your year!

@jamieh2000 that does sound like a tough decision! I say go with your gut - who do you think will be open to trying new suggestions and who do you feel most comfortable with?

AFM - nothing new to report. My bloodwork from my medical endocrinologist came back within normal ranges but she wants to retest in mid December in case I had any of the FET meds still in my system. Waiting to hear back from my RE about the ERA test results as well as any other testing that might be beneficial since we start another cycle until after the holidays. I've been in one of those moods this week where everything and everyone is just annoying the crap out of me (work; friends; DH; my clinic - EVERYTHING). Poor DH is getting the brunt of it since I have to keep it in check all day but when I get home, BAM, let the venting begin! Maybe it's a good thing I'm not on any meds right now as I can only imagine how much worse it would be!

@mtpbadger- I'm trying to clear my mind and listen to my gut... but sometimes it takes me a few days. I'm a very logical, pragmatic person, so I have been making a pro/con list and its pretty even so far! That's good news your tests came back normal, but obviously frustrating you still have no answers

I hear you about the moods! I am generally not a moody/emotional person, but the last few months have been so stressful I have just not been myself. Hang in there, I'm sure DH will understand.

@JamieH2000 - I just finished testosterone priming - actually yesterday. I did it this time with bcps. I did it once before with estrogen and didn't get a great result. Hopefully, this time will be better. The way I understand it, it improves egg quality even as the follicles are forming. The side effects weren't bad (maybe a bit of bacne - that's back acne

) I did get 4 follicles that time, sadly no eggs.

@mtpbadger - i'm right there with ya sista, EVERYONE is so annoying and in my case, i just keeping thinking so stupid. My face has a giant smile on it, but my head is going - why is this person still talking?!? get to the point already?!?

@kangastein - my poor DH keeps saying, "Are you okay?", "What's wrong?" and I give the reg response, headaches, tired, etc. But by the third time he ask I go completely nuts and ask him if he has a hearing problem. Yikes!

So after my earlier post i decided to duck out of work here and there and do a little local retail therapy. I'm actually in a much better mood now!

@JamieH2000 if you are in a financial position to go with the one you love, I say go for the third one! 2 hours away isn't so bad, especially if you can use a local place for the times you just need bw. You might also consider success rates, just to see if there's a huge difference and how many retrievals and transfers they do. Also, which one do you think you'd have more access to for questions, monitoring, etc.? In case you haven't considered that. For me, I love having access to my re every time I go in.

@mtpbadger it's ok to be moody. We have a ton of stuff to deal with in addition to hormones. Hope that you are able to get some time for just you and what you want to do.

@KirstenCas retail therapy is great! Glad it helped!

@kirstencas So sorry to hear about your sweet furbaby! 19 is a nice full life, had mine till almost his 21st bday, its always heartbreaking! hope your baseline went ok. Seems like you and @mtpbadger- are having a time of it. I feel the way both of you do more when i'm driving, just think everyone moron is always driving near me, no one thinks and its safer to just stay home! Hoping things start turning around for the both of u and your spirits are up.

@jamieh2000 hey girl, i did pm u the other day, did you come to a decision? the great thing is that you have options and RE that you want to work with!

@kangastein i'm laughing as i think my RE dislikes me at times as well but that more for all the questions i'm always asking!

@hopeful_mom- thanks for the message! I sent one back. I haven't totally decided who im going to go to but leaning towards the one in network since they are both very experienced and it would hurt even extra if we paid more and it failed again. We are trying old school this month and I actually got my positive ovulation today! Definitely not expecting anything but why not try I guess. Christmas would be a great time for a miracle!

Hi girls, some of you are on the November IVF board so sorry for the repeat, but had my retrieval and got a lot of eggs, trying PICSI this time plus the EPP which should have helped egg quality, and with my hubby on strong herbs we are hoping for better looking embryos by day 5 (and more than 1!) If we have one great looking one, we will transfer, if not PGD. So I'll start progesterone and wait impatiently for embryo results.

afm - baseline on friday went well, she wished I had had my period but said it wasn't a show stopper. All my blood work came back good, so I started stimming that day. And wowza, my protocol is extreme.

75 Menopur
150 Follistim
300 HCG
1 mg of dexamethasone 2x a day (steroid)
250 mg Clomid (that's 5 pills!)

If I get some good follicles, we are going to try a combo of ganirelix and indomethacin (a pain killer) to keep me from ovulating. And I'll have to take phenergran (anti nausea) too since it is apparently really hard on you.

If i make it to trigger I'll have to use 10000HCG and a lupin trigger.

Crazy, but I'm ready to go.

@kirstencas good luck! Hopefully the intense protocol helps those follicles develop and you get to a retrieval! It sounds like you're hitting this one with everything you can..

@kirstencas good luck on this coming cycle! excited for you to start stemming. I hated having to take anything 2x a day good luck with that. My steeming was high too 300 menupar and 300 gonal f so yes its no picnic. you got this. Maybe u lost your furbaby cause another baby is on the way

Hi ladies, wanted to come update ya'll as well on how my cycle turned out. I got my final fertilization report today. I was having sort of a mini meltdown yesterday when I got my first Day 5 update. My coordinator called around 2:30 and told me that out of the 8 only one had frozen so far, Of course my heart stopped for a few beats. She told me there we a few more that we still being watched and were hoping to freeze either yesterday or today. I fought to try and stay positive the rest of the day, reminding myself it only takes one. Today I got a call with better news. She told me that we had 3 more frozen Day 5 and 1 frozen Day 6. I was able to get my ratings : 1 4bb, 2 3bb, and 2 3ab. I hope these frosties stay strong and fight to make it through thaw. I'm still terrified after my last FET. But no transfer until FEB so I will continue to lurk and cheer you ladies on until then!

@kangastein I am still very anxious about the transfer, but I am happy its not til Feb so I can try and relax the next month. Try being the operative word. I know all of you ladies can relate.

@KirstenCas, I'm so sorry this happened. And I'm sorry to read about the loss of your cat, too. That's really too much heartbreak. I hope you have a strong support system around you, and that you can find comfort and strength from those who love you, and from within.

And of course, I hope that 2017 unfolds to be something much, much better for you (and all of us) than this dumpster-fire of a year.

Hi ladies I'm back. Trying to catch up on reading. I lost the weight they insisted on, and went back on day 3 only to find a 24mm cyst on the right ovary and high estrogen levels. We watched for 2 weeks and the estrogen went down enough for me to start stims on Christmas Eve, and we are just going to watch the cyst. I'm on 150 Gonal and 150 menopur for now and go in tomorrow for bloodwork and ultrasound. Hoping for some good results this time. We will be doing ER the 2nd week of January, then PGS and not transferring until probably March. I'm trying to not get overly optimistic so I'm not let down so hard again this time.

@hopefulmom I had 10 eggs, 8 mature. 7 fertilized and 6 are where they should be right now, but they say number 7 can catch up. They won't disturb them tomorrow and Thursday I'll find out how many made it to biopsy for pgs/freezing. I'm hoping we get at least 4 normal ones. So I get 2 chances at FET. As soon as my next cycle starts we will do uterine scratch and then the FET.

How are are things going with you?

@sleepyrn wow u had a great round so far congrats!!! How will they decide with ones to put in after the pgs testing. What protocol did you do? And did you do all icsi? My amazing update turned not so amazing below..

The day started out magically and ended in disastrously.
Today was graduation day to my OB. Day started off great. Heartbeats strong pumping at 175.
Baby A was 9wks5days
Baby B was 9wks4days
It was magical today they really looked like a lil baby for the first time. You could see lil hands and feet wiggle, it was amazing!! It made feeling so awful a bit more bearable. It looked like they were waving hello to their mama but they were really waving good bye to me.
I felt sick all day and started cramping. I just thought it was the uterus making room but it just kept persisting and my worst nightmare came true and I miscarried and lost them both
U kno it hurt so bad, I literally gave birth to my babies last night. I was so close to that first hurtle and it's all over now.

i need to grieve but need to figure out if I'm going to do the testing now as there is no reason that they can come up with as to why this happened to me.

i got pregnant with a fresh transfer so doing an FET actually makes me nervous.

@hopefulmom I am so sorry. I can't even imagine the emotions you are feeling right now.

I did 225gonal 225menopur 25 centrotide. Ovidrel trigger 36 hours before retrieval We did do icsi. I'm not sure how we select once pgs results are back. I think we can choose sex if they are all same quality. I will have to ask Thursday. Last time we did a fresh and transferred the best by grades. Then a frozen with the "leftovers".

@sleepyrn thank u! yea its a tough road indeed, wish the physical pain would stop already, the cramping is so bad I can't sleep even if i wanted too. Its crazy the last 3 weeks i was so sick and all i could do is sleep...now I need the sleep after losing so much blood and i'm lucky if i get 2 hrs. And then theres trying to look ahead to the next round...which i feel like i'll be following in your foot steps. SO far I haven't had much success in retrieving many eggs so its a tough call on what to do. Here I did have a very successful 3 day transfer, I"m almost scared to try something different. How i wish i could look into a crystal ball.
you did 450, I started at 450 but then finished up doing 600 and still walked away with 3 eggs, I thought they were quality over quantity. I know I miscarried and they say it had to be a chromosomal issue, i but i know i had a good one in there...just wish I didn't lose them both...

I'll keep checking in for your update! When do you get your results back?? exciting that you're getting close!!

@hopefulmom I wish the pain would let up for you so you can at least sleep! Tomorrow they tell me how many made it to where they should be for day 5, then they biopsy and freeze them. PGS should take about 2 weeks. So I should have results by the end of the month. I can't remember for the life of me when my cycle started after retrieval last time, so I have no clue when I'll start the FET. For what its worth, I felt like the frozen transfer cycle was less hectic on my body, maybe because it had time to rest between retrieval and implantation. Just something to consider for your next try.
