I just made an appointment for my IF consultation for December 15th. I know they do several different tests (AMH, FSH, CD3 and 7DPO) but is there any advice that anyone has for me going in to this?

@NYTino24 I agree with everything @eggplantface said. If I'm reading right, this is the first cycle you've had lots of positives, so it could be a fluke. I'm not sure what kind you're using. You might switch to digital or the advanced opks for a couple of cycles if you're not already since those make it clearer. I'd certainly give it more cycles, regardless. And while doing that, definitely find a new OB. No one should be stuck with a doctor that disregards their concerns.
ETA @lulu1180 Good luck with your appointment! In my experience, the RE--that's who you're seeing, right?--guides the initial consultation and gets a lot of history from you, makes a preliminary recommendation pending test results, and then sends you off with a list of tests to complete--mostly in their office--before returning. I was worried we'd be laughed out of the office since we were on cycle 11, although we had legitimate reason to believe we were dealing with MFI and we ended up being right. But our doctor was very supportive and we went right into testing. It doesn't hurt to prepare questions in advance and take notes during the meeting.
Thanks, @antoto and @eggplantface! I'm also wondering if you guys think that the LH being so seemingly so high for so long could indicate a problem and if I should push to get hormones tested just to know. Obviously an OPK is not actually spitting out measurable numbers and it's just lines on a stick, but I feel like it isn't normal. That's more of what I'm asking....

Good question. I dunno, man. LH strips are such a poor indicator of anything. I always turned an LH strip positive and I was never actually ovulating (yayyyyy PCOS). I feel like it's not that big of a deal if you want to get really basic bloodwork done from your OB if this is really driving you nuts. I went in for bloodwork with my midwife when I was only TTC 4 months (this is probably a FFFC lol) because there was just weird shit happening and I wanted peace of mind. And you know what? Thank God I did. I'm not saying you should start looking up RE phone numbers (I know you aren't, just saying), but asking for a basic hormonal blood panel from your OB is not a big deal.

In my experience with multiple days of what i thought were positives actually ended up being annovulatory. I mean having some crazy cycles lately though so this might not be your experience.

@nytino24; that definitely looks like you ovulated! If this cycle doesn't work and the next is weird too, I'd make an appointment to get hormones checked. Also, your periods (while in the normal range for length) would be considered irregular by my obgyn practice's standards since they vary by more than a week. I would definitely find a new doctor and make an appointment. The worst that could happen is that the new doctor makes you wait 6 months to a year before any testing.
@Becky012016 My concern wouldn't be being told to wait as much as the possible difficulty in getting an appointment in a new practice. I live in NJ where even a regular ob/Gyn appointment can never hard to get for 6 months or more since they block out a lot of time for people who are pregnant already... who knows about a less common RE. PS my mom hand a ruptured cyst and my twin had severe PCOS with partial hysterectomy last month, so we do have a family history. Thanks, ladies and good luck with your testing, especially @lulu1180!

Hello all... thank you so much for starting this thread. I was scared I'd be yelled at for asking this anywhere else so I never asked. So about a month ago, the hubby and I went to what I thought was a per-conception consulting, but all they did was take my blood test and make recommendations to get an MRI because of my mother's brain aneurysms to make sure I didn't have any. Everything came out great. So after that they said "Oh, you make an appointment with this fertility clinic and they'll get you started and when you do have your baby, we'll co-manage the pregnancy with your OBGYN." But they did provide the referral to the fertility clinic.
So Tuesday the hubby and I have the consultation with the fertility clinic .. we filled out separate questionnaires and they said it was going to be about a 1.5-2 hour consultation (I have a feeling it will be somewhat similar to the thing we just did about a month ago). So, for those who have done this at before what questions do you think I should be asking? And by the way, I'll be 36 in Jan and DH is 41. We figured it's best to get it started now as we've been trying since March.
