Testing: Monday/10dpo if my LP lasts that long. I realized last night that Monday will be our six month wedding anniversary. Maybe we'll have good news, or if not I can celebrate just the wedding with a lot of wine.
R/R: My husband and I still need to combine our bank accounts. I think we're going to combine into his because he has had a better experience with his bank than I have. For those of you who have done this, how do you get started? Do you just go to the bank in person and explain what you want? Do we need to bring our marriage license or anything?
CS/Q: I haven't been temping after confirming O except if I get up that early anyway, but I made sure to do it this morning since I was SS so hard yesterday. My temp was in a gray area between my usual post-O and my usual triphasic temps. Of course my BSC thought was, "That's on the way to triphasic for sure!" I'm rolling my eyes at myself now.
GTKY: I had a real work study job in college but for one year I also took a weird two-hour-per-week job for a team in the computer science department carrying their lunch up from a restaurant on the ground floor to their weekly meeting on a higher floor. I couldn't believe this was a job that someone paid money for!
Testing: BFN last night at 8DPO. I know that is way too early to be a sign of anything and I'm a little nuts for doing it but I still feel out.
R/R: See above.
Rave: Just so happy it's almost the weekend.
CS/Q: Question: I don't really understand how LP works. Let's say that your LP is always 16 days. Does that mean that if you were to get pregnant, it would always implant the same day and thus testing any earlier is a waste? I'm just confused why the tests say "test X days before your period." If you had a 16 day LP, couldn't you implant on day 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12? I guess they are just trying to give you a reliable test date? I don't know my LP yet, so I'm just curious how that plays into testing date.
GTKY: In honor of all the ladies with new job offers (woohoo!), have you ever had a weird or unusual job?

GTKY: In honor of all the ladies with new job offers (woohoo!), have you ever had a weird or unusual job?
I haven't really had a weird job. I was a hotel housekeeper. That was kind of gross sometimes, but I worked at a decent hotel, so it wasn't bad most of the time.
@adirat My bank advised us just to link our accounts. So I can see his and he can see mine (online) and we can transfer money easily. I think it also saved us on fees! This is in case anything happens... like divorce mainly. It's much easier to disentangle your assets and accounts. I also have my own credit card to build my own credit.
I know it happens to some women where their husband takes care of all the finances, they get divorced, then she has 0 credit history! Not that I'm thinking we would get divorced but it's good to have a plan just in case!
I think I brought our marriage license in.

Pretty sure I'm out. Started spotting (like red and very noticeable) which seems insanely early as today would have been 9dpo. Guess my first O cycle in months is a short luteal phase of 8 days and a 19 day cycle total? Pretty bummed!!! Any pointers or things to consider moving forward?
I had regular cycle before this damn IUD removal! Feeling pretty hopeless typing through these tears fml.
Edit: the one day post O i decided not to temp too!
@mrsregan13 Most women's LP is 10-16 days. That said, some have shorter and some have longer LPs than that. Mine is 11-13 days based on the data I have so far. It should stay fairly consistent within what's "normal" for you.
I don't know how the length of your LP affects when implantation happens or why that would matter. You're less likely to get a false negative PG test the longer you wait.

@Flinstone I had a different reasons for a short LP, but in my experience, my LP lengthen on its own when my horomones started getting back in line. It could be the same for you. I have also tried B6 to help lengthen my LP.
R/R: my body hates me this month pretty sure this is the longest LP I've ever had. I'm pretty consistent with 12 days. To make me more confused I decided to temp this am (stopped temping after CH) and my temp is 98.03 which is high for me. I'm a 96er before O, then move into the 97's. Any insight? I went down the cyst rabbit hole on google this morning. I think I'm grasping at straws.

@Flinstone, remind me again when you had your IUD out and are you temping or tracking CM/using OPKs? She ended up doing an US and confirmed that I do have polycystic ovaries BUT that I did O with a 19mm follie on one side. She is hopeful that this is the Metformin working for me. She said my thyroid levels look great, despite me fighting with Levo-induced anxiety and cutting way back the last month. And she told me not to test until next Wednesday. Lololol.

@adirat When we got married, we combined everything with DH's bank. He has a checking and savings account in just his name and we have a joint account all with the same bank and all accounts are linked. He kept his account because of issues on my end (advice: don't cosign on anything for anyone. ever.) I think we took in the marriage license and of course my ID and possibly social security card.

@Starla - detassling corn sounds awful! @adirat - we didn't need a marriage license to combine bank accounts. In theory, 2 friends could have a joint account, or siblings, or whoever. They don't care about the relationship, just your ID and who's on the account. MH and I combined, but we also kept 2 accounts because we have a Credit Union and a Bank, so now if we want to get a loan we have 2 options to talk to. Just some food for thought, it's not always bad to have multiple banks. @coloradohiker and @Flinstone - sorry you're out!

So excited for the job offers this week! I am an art director and have been asked to do some pretty whack things at all the different companies I've worked for. I've been asked to photoshop hair on people's heads, hair off people's faces, slimming (yes, it happens), face swaps, etc.

@adirat wow 6 years! you got married young! Happy anni! My H and I went to the bank together and opened an account jointly. We each have our separate accounts still. We changed our direct deposit so 75% of our pay goes into our joint and 25% goes into our personal so that we can still have privacy when we want to buy things for ourselves and gifts for each other. We weren't married when we made our joint (we bought our house before we were married). The system we have set up really works for us.
@mrsegan13 If you look at the box instructions, it says you can test but that the test is not as reliable days before your missed period. It will say something like it is 50% accurate 5 days before your missed period. I do not believe you would implant on the same day after you O because how fast the fertilized egg travels I'm sure is dependent on its environment (CM/inflammation...)
@flinstone your body can take several months to regulate your hormones after getting off BC. I know yours was copper, but still your period cycles were fake, so even though you are saying it was regular, it was a fake regular. I would just give it some time.

@mrsregan13 - I was having a weird cycle in Oct and was looking up some info in implantation. I read you can have implantation between 6-12 DPO. The HCG can be detected in blood 3-4 days after that, and in urine an additional 1-2 days (which, is cited as being around the time of your expected AF.) SO, if you had a late implantation date, you may not see a pos test until DPO 16. (A typical positive test can be detected in the 9-16 DPO range. But everyone's different, and it's possible to be outside those norms.)
Lots of CD1's today.. myself included. Heading to the flip side.
@virginiaham I tested yesterday with a digital and an internet cheapie. Both BFN. Put me in a pretty foul mood, so probably not. We have a Christmas party tomorrow night, so maybe tomorrow. @JulesDP, @coloradohiker, @flinstone, and @crazypuglady sorry for CD1. It seems like everyone has crazy cycles this month. I wonder if there is some truth to a dietary influence and the holiday threw us all off.

We have been doing Whole30 which means no drinking and very specific diet- no legumes, dairy, sugar, gluten or soy which makes eating out hard. Part of me feels like we should just "cheat" (There is no cheating on whole30, you start over) because this could be the last weekend before a BFP but I also have a gut feeling that I'm out this month. R/R: DH is going out of town this weekend so it will be just me with the twins.... hopefully they are kind!

GTKY: In honor of all the ladies with new job offers (woohoo!), have you ever had a weird or unusual job? in college my work study job was in the horticulture department I spent weeks grinding Lilly bulbs and then analyzing their mineral content.
@mrsegan13 I think some of the other ladies have answered your question but just in case... so if you say the "average" women has a 14day LP, and that implantation usually occurs around 8dpo (though it can vary) 8dpo is 6 days before your missed period... which is where they come up with their numbers on the box. That being said IRL many of us don't follow the "average" woman book. If you want your test to be the most accurate you would not test until the day of your expected period (and that works best if you know your Oday and LP length)
@flinstone it can take a while to regulate off BC. If your just spotting I would not count it as CD1 yet (wait till you fill a pad/tampon) while it sucks that AF is on its way your LP may not be quite as short as your thinking... hugs

R/R: Took unisom again last night and just tried to relax and not ruminate so much on the thought of sleep (thanks @Flinstone for the helpful advice) and I managed to get a decent night's sleep. I still woke up about 4 times, but I was able to fall back asleep relatively easily. It's a start I guess. So I am feel a little rested (still exhausted) and less stressed today.
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: In honor of all the ladies with new job offers (woohoo!), have you ever had a weird or unusual job?
Hmm, no real weird jobs. I was a courtesy clerk (thinking bagging, customer service, stocking) for a grocery store and definitely had some weird experiences. Everyone goes to the grocery store...all the normal and not so normal people. So the range of experiences was always interesting and entertaining throughout the day. Like the woman who came in weekly wearing a bra, skirt and tattooed fish net stockings on her legs...
Wow, big day in here so far! Thanks so much to everyone who gave advice about doing our joint bank accounts. So helpful! Plus I didn't change my name when I got married so it should be easy for me on that side of things
@mrsegan13 I think PPs already said this but my doctor told me implantation can occur any day (in the context of why my short LP is a problem).
@Flinstone Sorry you're dealing with that. Crappy as this advice is, it's true -- your body can take time to adjust and there's nothing to worry about. It's just aggravating as hell!
@Ohemgee Can you share your chart? It's unlikely your LP has extended that much, and likelier that your O date was wrong
@virginiaham If you're having levo-induced anxiety, has your doctor considered changing your dose? I had serious emotional issues when I was on 25mcg of generic levothyroxine that disappeared completely when I switched to 50mcg. Also, my doctor eventually switched me to levoxyl as the generic levothyroxine can actually give you a different dosage each time you fill the prescription (the generic only has to be accurate to within +-5 mcg which can be a big difference month to month). Worth considering if you are unhappy with the side effects.
@lmmtravels I lol'd at the idea of photoshopping hair!
@Juneroseruby Haha, six months not six years! I definitely was not ready to get married when I was 21, whew. So frustrating you didn't get your OT pay!
@littlebug2010 I actually really want to know the grossest thing you found in a musical instrument :-D

@adirat sure. I stopped charting after CH, but maybe you're right? After CH I had 3-4 days of copious amounts of EWCM and my CP was the highest I've ever noticed. I decided to stop temping at CH to relieve some stress (since last cycle I compared it to charts every 5 seconds), but obviously that didn't work out for me very well, since im more stressed now wondering what the heck is going on.
@ohemgee Weird -- based on temps I certainly understand why you thought you had O'd but all those days of ewcm except around your CH, plus your LP now, make me wonder if it was actually between cd 23-24. Where has your coverline been in past cycles? And most importantly -- it could legit just be too early for a bfp
R/R: I loathe people who are late. A vendor in our festival asked me to help for a couple hours this morning, which takes me away from our busy visitor center not to mention my actual regular job. I agreed because I had offered to help previously. She wanted help at 10, so I was there at 10. It's now 10:32 and she's still not there, so I went back to my office to get other work done, and told her to text me when she gets her head out of her ass.
But, yay its Friday!

I don't know how the length of your LP affects when implantation happens or why that would matter. You're less likely to get a false negative PG test the longer you wait.

Timing: -3,-1, O
Testing: I'm trying to decide if I can hold out until Tuesday
R/R: My parents are coming to visit this weekend and told DH and I to go on a date. I usually SS like it's my job and I got nothin this month.
CS/Q: Nothing special about it so no questions yet.
GTKY: In honor of all the ladies with new job offers (woohoo!), have you ever had a weird or unusual job? I have worked a lot of random odds and ends jobs just to stay busy. I've been a hooters girl, a zookeeper at a small local zoo and I worked manifest at a dropzone (coordinating skydivers to make sure the planes were loaded correctly).
DD2 born 9/10/17
Month/Cycle: 7/7
CD/DPO: 23/11
Timing: good but not enough
Testing: maybe tomorrow if i'm still in the game but with the BFN yesterday its not likely to change
R/R: DH is going out of town this weekend so it will be just me with the twins.... hopefully they are kind!
CS/Q: temp only came down a smidge today so it looks like my LP will be at least 12 days this month which is good...
@coloradohiker @crazypuglady @julesDP sorry for CD1, be good to yourselves
@flinstone it can take a while to regulate off BC. If your just spotting I would not count it as CD1 yet (wait till you fill a pad/tampon) while it sucks that AF is on its way your LP may not be quite as short as your thinking... hugs

@adirat Like @JuneRoseRuby, DH and I opted to just open a joint account which we use for all household related expenses and we both still have our own personal accounts as well. This system has worked really well for us.
@JulesDP @ColoradoHiker @crazypuglady Sorry for CD1!
Month/Cycle: 6/7
CD/DPO: 22/8
Timing: -4, -2
Testing: not happening
R/R: I had a super weird, super messed up dream last night. I actually woke up wondering what the hell could be wrong with me that my mind would come up with that. Other than that, have off today and had so much that I planned on doing, but of course I am still just sitting here in my pajamas procrastinating as usual.
CS/Q: --
GTKY: In honor of all the ladies with new job offers (woohoo!), have you ever had a weird or unusual job? When I was in high school I would strip palm for palm crosses at a local garden center. We would just sit there and do this for hours. It was so strange, but for some reason I decided to go back and it the next year as well.

@daisymae6215 jealous of your weekend with no plans!
@littlebug2010 cleaning musical instruments sounds gross, especially when I remember the kids who were in my band classes :x
Month/Cycle: 3/2
CD/DPO: 29/14
Timing: -5 -3 -2 +1
Testing: if AF doesn't show, I will test again tomorrow
R/R: Yesterday my boss (who is changing stores next week for goodsies, yay!) told the story (again) of how she & HH never wanted kids, and that both of her kids were accidents, the 2nd one born while she was on antibiotics and her bc failed. She was all "me & MH loved our lives, we wanted to sleep in forever!" I stood there listening (again) like

Rave: I have the day off today! I'm going to run errands and treat myself to something from Sephora.
CS/Q: Big temp spike today. I think it was pretty warm in here last night and I kinda feel like I am getting a cold.
GTKY: In honor of all the ladies with new job offers (woohoo!), have you ever had a weird or unusual job? I've had many strange part time jobs over the years, but in high school I worked for Build a Bear Workshop. Not only was it weird to have to call everybody a "bear" (cashier bear, etc...) but I was often chosen to wear the bear suit. I didn't mind because it was better than actually doing the job. I wandered through the mall and got lots of hugs from little kids.

Month/Cycle: 5/4
CD/DPO: 32/13 or 14
Timing: hopefully right on target
Testing: I'm expecting AF today,EDIT: I'm expecting AF TOMORROW (ugh, I totally counted wrong and got my hopes up and thought she wasn't showing today and got super excited for no reason) so i'm just going to be patient (HAHAHA), and wait it out to see how today goes. Maybe i'll test on Sunday if she stays away!
R/R: YAY it's Friday

CS/Q: nada
GTKY: In honor of all the ladies with new job offers (woohoo!), have you ever had a weird or unusual job?
nothing too weird or unusual. In high school I was a beer cart girl at a golf course, I think that's really about as weird as I get haha
Month/Cycle: 7/7
CD/DPO: 26/12
Timing: -4, -3, -2, -1, 0(x2), +1
Testing: BFN
R/R: So, I had a huge temp rise today and talked myself into testing again. BFN of course
CS/Q: None
GTKY: In honor of all the ladies with new job offers (woohoo!), have you ever had a weird or unusual job?
Nope, nothing to weird.
@adirat my husband and I share a joint account, and we each have a separate account. Each paycheck, an amount is direct deposited into the joint, it goes towards all of our joint bills, college savings, general savings.. The remaining amount is put into our personal accounts.. and we can use our separate account money for whatever. This system really works for us.
Sorry for all the CD1s and BFNs today ladies
Month/Cycle: 1/1
CD/DPO: 25/10
Timing: -2,-1,0,+1
Testing: BFN on FRER this morning
R/R: My temp jumped up this morning by .7 degrees. My last 4 days I was around 97.7, and today it was 98.4... so I'm holding out hope.
CS/Q: Nope
GTKY: In honor of all the ladies with new job offers (woohoo!), have you ever had a weird or unusual job? Nothing too unusual... guess my job history is pretty vanilla.
I could've written your post! And now that I recall I think I only brought my marriage certificate in to change my name on accounts so @Khrun17 is probably right.

Sorry for all the CD1s -- enjoy your weekends!

CD/DPO: 29/6 - I looked at the day on the calendar instead of my cycle day when I posted on Tuesday. I was so confused looking at FF this morning. How am I on CD29 again?? Oh. Because I'm an idiot. Got it.
Timing: -3, -2, 0 I think.. too lazy to open up FF again
Testing: had blood drawn today to check progesterone to confirm O and my doc always includes a beta too. So technically today. I won't start peeing on things until at least 10-12 dpo.
R/R: Took forever at the lab this morning so I was late to work. Usually I'm in and out within 15 min. But today there was actually a line! Benefits of living in a small town I guess
