Anyone noticing any foods that are instant triggers to make you sick? Just had deep fried food (I know, not a healthy choice) for dinner and I am absolutely miserable! Thank heaven for an amazing husband to take care of the girls...
No real triggers yet. Just feel overall kinda crummy. In my last pregnancy I couldn't go near iceberg lettuce. It literally tasted like poison chemicals when I put it in my mouth.
No triggers yet, but I've def had nausea. I started noticing it a few days before the BFP which made me think I was pg, even though I kept getting BFNs.
Nothing yet. Last time I could not do Mexican, chicken, or most meat actually. MH and I are both Mexican fanatics so we are hoping this time I love it!
Nothing too bad yet. I was making macaroni and cheese for my kids last night and the smell made me feel sick though. Also the smell of eggs but I can eat them scrambled.
With DD I got a bout of nausea at 7 weeks. Then I was just more or less queasy in the afternoons with a couple days of bad nausea. I have a phobia of nausea/throwing up so I'm really praying that I don't get sick or nauseous with this baby. So far so good but only 4 weeks in...
No foods yet but smells...almost anything that stinks it's like I can smell it a mile away. Ugh!
Yes! Me too. I swear my house smells like a dump, but my husband begs to differ. Our fridge is a huge trigger for me. All the mixed smells are vacuum sealed in there and all waft out as soon as you open it, yuck!
@morgy_bee I promise you I made my husband clean ours out yesterday before we put the groceries in. I said you clean it out for me and I'll wash dishes and clean everything else. Smells so much better now lol.
I haven't had any aversions yet really, but I am really surprised that I feel so sick already. With my first, my son, I only felt queasy a week tops. With my second, my daughter, I was super sick until well into my 2nd trimester. I hate being sick, but it puts me at ease that my body is doing its job!
@Shan870 I cleaned mine out right before BFP but I was putting groceries away this week gagging. It's not rotten it's just all the smells mixed! Yuck! I'm glad I cleaned it out though or I wouldn't be able to handle it!
With my my last pregnancy, I was completely aversive on an extreme level. I hope it doesn't get to that point this time!!!!
Ugh...I thought I would be healthy and made tilapia filets for dinner...after only one bite I was done, I just couldn't stomach it. I usually love fish...not right now.
Chicken has been killing this time around. For about 3 weeks it has seemed to have the most gag worthy texture and tastes slimy and awful but just to me.
I had a peppermint mocha this morning from Starbucks. I loved drinking it. Until a few hours later. I don't know if it was to much caffeine or to much sugar. I felt sick.
Well sweets aren't sickening to me, but normally I have a huge sweet tooth. Lately I could care less and if I take a bite of something sweet I turn my nose up to it and toss it. Not complaining though, it's certainly a healthy aversion to have! lol
I didn't have any smell aversions with my second. I sense that will not happen this time as many random sniffs of things in the air are already setting me off. No real nausea yet to speak of though.
My husband brought me a piece of chocolate cake last night, and after one bite I wanted to toss it. I grabbed a few cookies a little bit ago, and haven't even touched them, and now am repulsed by the idea of them....maybe I'll get lucky this time and won't want sweets. With my first, the smell of coffee made me so sick (and I love coffee!), so hopefully that doesn't happen this go around.
Feeling queasy here and there. Sweets make me queasy this time around. Hopefully it stays away as I have emetiphobia which is a fear of vomit/vomiting. No sickness with my now 2 year old!
With my first I was nauseated from the second of conception (I swear) through delivery. It was miserable. This one seems to be taking the same route. it's worst when I'm hungry. I literally have to have food on me all.the.time. As far as what's turning my stomach now...smelling Cologne /perfume has been awful. There's also a snack bar at my work and the smell of hotdogs makes me run every time.
@AndreaColby I have the same thing! It's hard to find people who understand. Everyone just says to me "nobody likes throwing up" or they laugh like pregnancy/birth is going to "cure" that. When I was in labor with DD the nurse asked if I had a birth plan and I flat out told her my only concern was to make sure I didn't throw up or get nauseous. Of course she laughed in my face but when I started to get nauseous she was very quick to bring me meds to relieve it. I was so thankful. Somehow I survived the whole pregnancy/birth without throwing up. Hopefully I can pull that off again. No nausea yet (slight queasiness some evenings), and hoping it stays that way.
@middy411 I totally agree. It's only bad when I am starting to get hungry. But then I'm afraid I'll get sick and nothing sounds good, so I don't eat for another hour. It's a horrible cycle.
The triggers didn't start until today, but they were the fridge as most others said and when I was dishing up my cat's wet food. I've been feeding them the same brand of food for 2 years but today I couldn't do it without looking away and gagging the whole time. I feel like I can't pawn off that chore though since DH already has to change their litter for me.

Nausea jit me randomly in the baking aisle at Walmart. The brown sugar made me gag and get really flushed.
@a2003tiger that's how I felt during my last pregnancy. Instant mashed potato cups were my best friend. I did start feeling better around week 10-13
