Baby number 2

So I have been absent from the group for, oh about 14 months  :( but just found out we are pregnant with baby number two. And it made me miss this board! I just joined the July 2017 board and everyone over there is so upbeat and happy about their pregnancy so I feel like I can't say that I'm trying to be. So here I am back in my safe space of J15 to say... I am terrified! Woo. Feels better putting it out there.

ps my husband and I still make near daily jokes about anal darkening.

    I always appreciate a lady who keeps it real. Congrats on the pregnancy and wishing you all the best! Of course you're terrified. Babies and newborns are terrifying ;) But it will work out. You got this, mama!!

    Before you posted here I responded over on J17. Scared shitless. Also kept cursing the day I found out. More because of the shock and the only time we had dtd that month did it .

    *TW* so I just posted over on the other board but I'm bleeding a fair amount today and have started cramping. I had a blood test this morning and going back in two days to check levels I just have a bad feeling. And now I feel ridiculously guilty that I was not more excited. Like I willed this to happen or something. I know it's not possible but this just sucks. My husband and I were actually finally getting really excited and attached to the baby and I know I was scared to be pregnant but I'm more scared to not be now. :(

    @Serenamarr wishing you all the best. Be kind to yourself. You said it already, but "bad" thoughts do not cause complications. I have a healthy 17 month old whose existence started off with swearing and tears on behalf of both his parents!

    Yay! We're expecting over here, too! Due June '17. Feels like deja vu in every way with this LO's EDD only one day after DS's! 

    How are you feeling? Do you feel like everything is totally different or the same? Thinking this may be your last or open to more?

    Hey ladies just wanted to update. Blood test confirmed that my numbers are dropping, we lost the pregnancy. Thank you to those who gave kind words and best of luck to those on a new journey.  <3

    I'm so sorry. I hope you don't beat yourself up about how you were initially feeling.  It's completely natural to feel how you described, regardless of where you are/were in life.  You couldn't have controlled what happened either.  I'll be thinking of you and sending love your way.
