My results are back! 3/6 are normal. Waiting on the actual report to see gender and everything, but received the news this morning that the almost perfect day 5 is normal and 2 good day 6's are normal! Looks like I will be transferring in December!

@Kp214 Yes! We did. It's kind of funny how so far we haven't really gotten to choose genders. Our first retrieval we wound up with one embryo- a boy. And this round we wound up with three embryos- all girls!!

@oxinfree So, last time we found out the 3 abnormal embryos were all girls, and the only normal one was a boy. I was glad to have at least one normal, but I was really scared that this meant we wouldn't be able to make girl embryos. My RE kinda laughed and assured me that wasn't the case. Lo and behold, here we are with 3 girl embies! : )

@oxinfree I think we will only be transferring one. I think my clinic does it based off of embryo grade since they are all boys. They want to start with the best first. Good luck with your transfer! Hoping we transfer next week. Depends on what they see today.
@LeFemmeViolette that is a worry that I've had since I found out the news, that we wouldn't be able to have girls. If we are successful with one of these three, we may be done, or we may try another cycle for a girl. I don't know. I want two children; DH is on the fence and leans toward one.

@kp214 My husband has lightly mentioned that if we end up having all girl babies, that he'd want to go through w/ another retrieval in the hopes of getting a boy. I didn't realize he felt that strongly about it. We'll see as time goes by if he changes his mind.
Also, looks like you're in the same boat as us in that if we want to keep genders a secret from friends and family, we can't even tell them the embies we have in stock!

@Kp214 That's so exciting that you have 3 male embryos! I don't know the gender of my PGS embryo... I can't decide whether or not I want to know.
I had my lining check today and everything looked good... my transfer will definitely be next Tuesday. I start PIO shots tomorrow and I am super nervous! My husband had to leave the appointment before we were instructed how to give the shot because they were really behind and he had to get to work which is making me more nervous since he only has my directions or YouTube videos to go by.

IVF #1 scheduled May 2016 - 375/525 follistim, 75 menopur - cancelled cycle Day 6 IVF #2 scheduled July 2016 - new protocol, switcharoo...IUI June 2016 - BFN IVF#3 scheduled August 2016 - estrogen & testosterone primed for 3 wks - ganirelix 7 days leading up to stim - 500 follistim, 75 menopur, 150 clomid , no follicle growth on day 6, stopped injectibles. Scanned day 9 just to check, some growth, 3 days 200 mg clomid, day 12 more growth, 100 follistim, 75 menopur, start ganirelix on day 13, ER = 0 eggs, ovulated to soon ( ) IVF#4 scheduled Sept 2016 - Microdose Flare protocol, cancelled stim day 6 converted to IUI (one dominant follicle) IUI cancelled ovulated too soon again. Taking a mental health break. IVF#5 December 2016 - New protocol, same results. My adventure is over.

@Stars2016 I'm assuming PIO are going to be very similar to E2v which I've been doing. I ice for 10-15 min beforehand and lay flat. Hubs pinches on the upper outside part of the large gluteal muscle and injects. Our first one I was standing and didn't ice, big mistake (I moved). Since then they've been fine. You got this! xx

AFM- went to RE yesterday lining is already almost 10mm, labs looked great. Go back 12/7 and then FET on 12/12!! I'm so excited but so nervous! I just want a BFP!!!!!
TTC for 8 years. Started in 2008 with timed intercourse, ovulation testing, no official monitoring. OB-GYN recommended Clomid and timed intercourse, attempted for 6 straight months. First surgery June 2009 (OB-GYN): diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis and large hydrosalpinx on right tube. Second surgery (July 2009, RE performed this): Right tube had to be removed, lots of adhesions removed. Attempted "trying on our own" as per RE recommendations, unsuccessful 5-6 months. HSG performed December 2009: left tube open. February 2010: started Femara and timed intercourse, attempted 6 months, no BFPs. Took a break for a while. January 2011: started IUI process, ovaries never properly responded to medications, 6 failed attempts, never actually completed an IUI. Took 2012-2014 off due to depression and frustration (side note: did complete grad school to become a nurse practitioner- great distraction). 2015: started seeing RE again, went through tons of testing and HSG, left tube now blocked, only option is IVF. September 2015: Started first official IVF cycle, cancelled in October due to large cyst on left ovary. October 2015: started on birth control for 2 months. December 2015: attempted to start another IVF cycle, cysts on both ovaries on initial ultrasound, left was huge, cancelled to aspirated cyst. January 2016: Cyst back, surgery for ex-lap, cyst and adhesions removed. March 2016: Attempted second IVF cycle, estrogen way too high, cyst back, cancelled again. April 2016: Third attempted IVF cycle, 7 eggs retrieved, 2 mature (but not great) embryos made to fresh transfer, neither implanted. May-Sept 2016: Break to regain sanity. Sept-Oct 2016: Attempted fourth IVF cycle, very successful, cyst still on left but we ignored. 7 mature "great looking" eggs retrieved, 4 mature embryos made it to day 5 transfer. Transfer aborted due to large amount of endometriosis fluid in uterus. FET of 2 embryos completed on 12/12/16. 12/22/16 1st Beta 179 BFP!!! 12/24/16 2nd Beta 449!! EDD 8/30/17 with two girls!!!!!

We are transferring on Thursday! We have done PGS testing and had 6 embryos back- 2girls and 4 boys. We will transfer 2-boy and girl. Oh I'm so excited and nervous. Do people do acupuncture before or after transfer? I'm thinking about it. My Dr. put me on Endometrin for progesterone.

Yay for transfer @spring512 - great news about pgs! I've done acupuncture before but it was never really my thing. It didn't help me with implantation or anything so I'm leaving it out this cycle. If you find it relaxing etc. then I say go for it. It won't hurt, if anything it'll help. Thursday will be here before you know it! I transfer the following Tuesday (the 13th) so we're pretty close eeeee exciting!!!

@springs512 I am getting acupuncture both immediately before and after my transfer. According to my RE, before and after has proven to increase the chance of successful implantation. Good luck with the transfer on Thursday

Also, I've been having some light cramping today...is it possible it's just from the PIO shots? I don't completely understand how a FET works and I'm terrified it's related to AF incredibly early or something.

I am also on Endometrin--blech. @oxinfree One more week to go! @stars2016 How'd it go today?? I also had some light cramping a few days prior to my FET and my understanding is that it can be a side effect from progesterone.
I had my FET yesterday so now just waiting--it's pretty excruciating. I keep wavering between optimism and thinking there's no way I'll ever get KU. Ahh only time will tell.

@oxinfree Yes it went well thanks! I was pretty uncomfortable with an overfull bladder but the transfer itself was smooth. I got acupuncture immediately before and after but had to end the after session five minutes early because I couldn't stand the full bladder anymore. Best of luck at your lining check tomorrow!!
@felix08 I totally relate to how you're feeling. I start to get a little excited that it might work, and then think about how it didn't last time and begin to wonder if it's in the cards for me at all. Hoping you get good news after the horrible tww!
I have my transfer on December 12th as well!! Accupuncture at 9am followed by the transfer at 11:30. I started my progesterone shots this evening. I'm beyond excited!
Ugh... lining was too thin guys my transfer is being pushed to Dec 16 in the hopes we can thicken it up. Drinking my pom juice and praying for a nice thick lining by then.

Had my 2nd transfer on the 1st. Took home pregnancy test test day and it was a BFP! I work at a hospital so I had lab tech run quantitative blood on me and it says I'm 3-4 weeks along. Which fertility doc said I would be 4 weeks tomorrow! I will be happy when I get to hear the fertility doc say I'm officially pregnant!

@Kp214 Yes! We did. It's kind of funny how so far we haven't really gotten to choose genders. Our first retrieval we wound up with one embryo- a boy. And this round we wound up with three embryos- all girls!!

@Kp214 That's so exciting that you have 3 male embryos! I don't know the gender of my PGS embryo... I can't decide whether or not I want to know.
I had my lining check today and everything looked good... my transfer will definitely be next Tuesday. I start PIO shots tomorrow and I am super nervous! My husband had to leave the appointment before we were instructed how to give the shot because they were really behind and he had to get to work which is making me more nervous since he only has my directions or YouTube videos to go by.

IVF#4 scheduled Sept 2016 - Microdose Flare protocol, cancelled stim day 6 converted to IUI (one dominant follicle)
IVF#5 December 2016 - New protocol, same results. My adventure is over.
@Kp214 totally get that. We're being very open about our process as it's just less stressful for me. I don't have to worry about watching what I say. Otherwise I'd slip up way too often haha

@Stars2016 I'm assuming PIO are going to be very similar to E2v which I've been doing. I ice for 10-15 min beforehand and lay flat. Hubs pinches on the upper outside part of the large gluteal muscle and injects. Our first one I was standing and didn't ice, big mistake (I moved). Since then they've been fine. You got this! xx
afm - I go for bw tomorrow to see how my levels are doing. Then I don't go back until Wed when I'll have bw & ultrasound for lining check. We leave for NYC on Fri. Coming up quick!!!! I'm a ball of nerves.

TTC for 8 years.
Started in 2008 with timed intercourse, ovulation testing, no official monitoring.
OB-GYN recommended Clomid and timed intercourse, attempted for 6 straight months.
First surgery June 2009 (OB-GYN): diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis and large hydrosalpinx on right tube.
Second surgery (July 2009, RE performed this): Right tube had to be removed, lots of adhesions removed.
Attempted "trying on our own" as per RE recommendations, unsuccessful 5-6 months.
HSG performed December 2009: left tube open.
February 2010: started Femara and timed intercourse, attempted 6 months, no BFPs.
Took a break for a while.
January 2011: started IUI process, ovaries never properly responded to medications, 6 failed attempts, never actually completed an IUI.
Took 2012-2014 off due to depression and frustration (side note: did complete grad school to become a nurse practitioner- great distraction).
2015: started seeing RE again, went through tons of testing and HSG, left tube now blocked, only option is IVF.
September 2015: Started first official IVF cycle, cancelled in October due to large cyst on left ovary.
October 2015: started on birth control for 2 months.
December 2015: attempted to start another IVF cycle, cysts on both ovaries on initial ultrasound, left was huge, cancelled to aspirated cyst.
January 2016: Cyst back, surgery for ex-lap, cyst and adhesions removed.
March 2016: Attempted second IVF cycle, estrogen way too high, cyst back, cancelled again.
April 2016: Third attempted IVF cycle, 7 eggs retrieved, 2 mature (but not great) embryos made to fresh transfer, neither implanted.
May-Sept 2016: Break to regain sanity.
Sept-Oct 2016: Attempted fourth IVF cycle, very successful, cyst still on left but we ignored. 7 mature "great looking" eggs retrieved, 4 mature embryos made it to day 5 transfer. Transfer aborted due to large amount of endometriosis fluid in uterus.
FET of 2 embryos completed on 12/12/16.
12/22/16 1st Beta 179 BFP!!!
12/24/16 2nd Beta 449!!
EDD 8/30/17 with two girls!!!!!
Audrey (4lb 8oz) and Olivia (6lb 6oz) born 8/10/17!!

@oxinfree We are being pretty open about transfer and process too. I have to admit that this makes me nervous but also helps with the support.
We are transferring on Thursday! We have done PGS testing and had 6 embryos back- 2girls and 4 boys. We will transfer 2-boy and girl. Oh I'm so excited and nervous.
Do people do acupuncture before or after transfer? I'm thinking about it.
My Dr. put me on Endometrin for progesterone.

Also, I've been having some light cramping today...is it possible it's just from the PIO shots? I don't completely understand how a FET works and I'm terrified it's related to AF incredibly early or something.

@stars2016 How'd it go today?? I also had some light cramping a few days prior to my FET and my understanding is that it can be a side effect from progesterone.
I had my FET yesterday so now just waiting--it's pretty excruciating. I keep wavering between optimism and thinking there's no way I'll ever get KU. Ahh only time will tell.

afm - bw and ultrasound in the morning to check lining eeeee hope its looking good! then my mom arrives into town in the afternoon (she's coming to watch out dog while we're away). We fly out Friday for NYC. Couple days to chill before Transfer on Tuesday. I can't believe how soon it'll be here. Yippee.

@oxinfree Yes it went well thanks! I was pretty uncomfortable with an overfull bladder but the transfer itself was smooth. I got acupuncture immediately before and after but had to end the after session five minutes early because I couldn't stand the full bladder anymore. Best of luck at your lining check tomorrow!!
@felix08 I totally relate to how you're feeling. I start to get a little excited that it might work, and then think about how it didn't last time and begin to wonder if it's in the cards for me at all. Hoping you get good news after the horrible tww!
