I had my membranes swept about an hour ago. It was quite painful, to be honest. I lost my mucus plug in the process. Doc stretched me to the full 4cm. I'm surprised I'm not cramping more than I'am. Regardless, I'm heading over to L & D @ 12:30pm EST. I'll update more when I can.

Happy to introduce you girls to my son, Cason Parker. Born 11/30/16 @ 9:01pm, weighing 7lb 12oz & 21.5" long. We are both doing excellent. Since my last post, I basically went from 5-10cm very quickly (no checks in between). I had my epidural for about 20 minutes before it was time to push. No one could believe it. I pushed for 20 minutes and he was here before we even knew it! He came out "stunned" because he dropped so quickly, but he resumed normal color within minutes. He wouldn't latch for 3 hours and cried til I put on nursing shields and he nursed for 1.5 hour a straight. Now he is a nursing champion! I'm so grateful for all of you being with me throughout this journey and I can't wait for all of your miracles to come. I will post more pics later today when he is dressed to impress
@capps42613 Congratulations! what a wonderful boy you have there!

Congratulations @mskeenan and @capps42613 !!! I am so happy for you and your little ones look perfect! I am sorry that I was away from here and mostly offline most of the time. After the arrival of our daughter, i got into a mood where i did not really want to communicate with people much, just spend my whole time with her. I am so happy being completely isolated with her. I am becoming more social slowly. So about my labor story, which is a little similar to @mskeenan : The night before my induction day, my mucus plug came first and at one point i thought my water is leaking a little. i was having contractions but mostly not too painful. I called the doctor and they wanted me to come into L&D and the nurse was not sure if it was really my water or not but i was dilated 2.5cm and effaced a lot. Suprisingly my contractions were regular at 5 min and since i was almost 42 weeks they decided to admit me that night. So i spent the early labor at the hospital unfortunately. In the early morning, my water started to gush and it sped my contractions and made them much stronger. When they were 1.5-2 min apart, they were so strong and i started to have a constant unbearable pressure in my pubic bone. I got my epidural but I was only dilated to 4-5cm. They did not give me pitocin , i think because baby was way too high. At around 10.30pm ,baby's heart started to get irregular and i could not dilate more than 5-6cm, baby was still up. the second time baby's HR dropped, Dr decided that i have to have c-section. I knew that it was coming but still it was so hard to accept. i couldnt stop crying and shivering when they were moving me to the OR. The surgery was very short and easy, but my whole body was shaking. When I heard that first cry, i forgot everything that we went through. She was born 8lb 3oz and 53cm long. We are so in love with our daughter. She is feeding so well, and my favorite activity is to watch her during BFing.
Thank you for sharing your story @zoefer. Its tough when labour doesn't go as planned. The body shaking is something very common I guess...I too was shaking like a Polaroid picture...and it didn't stop for a long time. Mine started after she was born and on the way too OR. I got told it was all the adrenaline that got free.
I love to read that you love watching her during BF. I get often asked if I reply messages while giving a bottle (I unfortunately didn't manage to bf) but just like you I just love watching her and don't do anything else unless I have to. I do midtmight texting when I should be sleeping (not recommended )
Enjoy your little family (love the picture on Instagram) and enjoy being not social. Who can blame you with such a cutie at home!
Re: 3rd Trimester Check-In Week Of 11/28

IVF in 2015. FET nr 3 in 2016 - BFP. Healthy baby girl born in April 2017.
Trying for nr 2
I get often asked if I reply messages while giving a bottle (I unfortunately didn't manage to bf)
but just like you I just love watching her and don't do anything else unless I have to.
I do midtmight texting when I should be sleeping (not recommended )
Enjoy your little family (love the picture on Instagram) and enjoy being not social. Who can blame you with such a cutie at home!
