I'm thankful for having your story to look back to as I'm heading to the dr right now for just having red blood when I went to the bathroom. I hope my outcome is like yours!
Here is what happened. I was out shopping this morning and I went to the bathroom. It was #1 and #2. I looked at the toilet and was so stunned to literally see a toilet full of bright red! I wiped again and there was nothing, so it wasn't like a continuous bleed. I freaked out and called the dr. Due to my last pregnancy ending in m/c, I think they were more accommodating than normal (this was only one bathroom trip and I wasn't cramping, after all) and thankfully they told me to come right in. Before I went into the office, I went to the bathroom again, had to do #2 again, but this time something told me to make sure it wasn't coming out of my butt. I watched the pee come out and there was no blood, but then after #2, another toilet full of red! When I wiped the front, there was nothing, wiped the back and there was bright red blood. So it was clear it was coming from behind. I still went to the u/s and, thank god, all was looking perfect with baby measuring right on and hb of 164bpm, and the dr determined I was experiencing an internal hemorrhoid. I had no idea those could be painless and so bloody! Never had them before but I have definitely been straining a bit during some bowel movements so I can't say I'm surprised. I have to be much better about water and fiber and all that, and I have a suppository to take for 7 days so that should be fun. So so grateful that that is all it was!!

@JAGinMI Sorry about the hemorrhoid! At least it isn't painful. I'm sure that was absolutely terrifying but I'm really glad you got some good news and everything is OK with baby.
