AFM totally spaced on making a monitoring appointment for this morning. I'm such an airhead... though I'm sure it's not the first time someone messed up their remote monitoring or what have you. I got in by the afternoon but because the lab was closed the bw results wont be sent to doc until tomorrow... so we'll wait and see what the deal with that is. Hopefully starting daily Lupron tomorrow regardless of my mess up... fx at least. Everything else looked good... super thin lining, no cysts or follicle growth or anything so that's good. eeeee. It's starting.

Hi ladies, I think I'll jump onto this board. I'm pretty sure my transfer date will be either at the very end of November or beginning of December. I just did ERA testing to find out the optimal day to transfer based on endometrial receptivity, so once those results are in it might affect my transfer day also. I had a failed FET last month so I'm ready for some success! I look forward to sharing the journey with you all!

Well ladies, I'm leaving you to join January board:-( RE called yesterday to ask/tell me to delay transfer until Jan. 9th ! Apparently the embryologist has to go out of town for the scheduled Dec . timetable. totally bummed.

AFM, it's looking like somewhere between Dec 7-9 for my FET. I will know more in about a week. Can I ask you guys about your pre-FET lifestyles? When are you quitting coffee, alcohol, etc? Also, do you feel that acupuncture is beneficial? I did it for my last FET and it was pretty expensive and time consuming. I'm willing to do it again but I'm just wondering if it's worth it. I tend to have really thin lining (barely 8mm last time). I tried to do everything perfect last time and it didn't work. So I may be a little more relaxed this time. Not sure...

@Vic311 I'm transferring Dec 13th and have already weaned off my green tea lattes. I've been alcohol free for over a year, and eating really healthy (strict endo/paleo inspired diet to help with endo and immune issues).

In terms of acupuncture, I've done it in the past mostly because I felt obligated due to the possibility of it helping, but frankly I found it more annoying than relaxing so I felt it kind of defeated the purpose in a way. I'm opting to not do it this cycle and focus instead on meditation and reiki and things that I enjoy! Exciting that we're getting so close!!! Just trust your gut and do what makes you feel the most positive going into your transfer

@vic311 I have started to eat 95% clean and non-processed food this month. I am planning on trying to slowly start fading out my cup of coffee this weekend so that by the time of my transfer in a few weeks I will hopefully be coffee free. As for acupuncture, I am going to try it this cycle because when speaking to my RE about what I can do in order to be as successful as possible, that was the one thing he mentioned. I am only getting it done 4 times... once a week for two weeks and then immediately before and after my transfer. It is very pricey though. Since I only have one PGS normal embryo I just want to have the best chance possible in hopes to not have a 3rd retrieval.

I'm actually sipping a cup of coffee as I write this. My biggest vice! @oxinfree and @Stars2016 thank you both for your thoughts. I guess it's really a balance between healthy habits and not exhausting yourself trying to be perfect.

@vic311 I'm not transferring this month but in the past I've been super good about caffeine and booze and diet before FETs and had them fail. Then a friend of mine had a transfer and drank coffee up until transfer day and ate cake and cookies and just a terrible diet and got pregnant! I really think unless caffeine stresses you out, there's not much reason to stop if it's just one cup!

Hi everyone!
I haven't posted since I intro'd because, honestly, the threads on this board are kind of intimidating and overwhelming to me! We have our first FET scheduled for 12/5, though, so I figured I'd jump in here. We had our ER on 11/12 and they retrieved 18 mature eggs of which 15 were fertilized with ICSI. Just got the update yesterday that 9 made it to 5 days. SO relieved/thrilled to get that news. Now, we wait.

Any advice on what to do to prepare for FET?

ETA: And good luck to all you ladies! Hopefully this holiday season is extra special for all of us.

@felix08 - glad you did! Yay for FET on the 5th. Coming up so super soon! Those are great numbers! That's what I got too! (9 blasts that is) Overall you'll find the FET much easier than stimms. Are you doing suppositories or PIO (progesterone in oil)?

I'm doing PIO for the first time @felix08 but after transfer switching over to suppositories. I have a crazy FET though since this will be our second FET and 4th transfer overall.

@oxinfree I will also be doing PIO for the first time. I start taking the injection on the 1st and only take it for a week and then switch to Crinone. I am super nervous about starting... that needle is huge!

I hate the PIO but it's all my RE uses. I'll start mine a few days before transfer and keep doing the shots until either my beta is negative or until I'm 11weeks pregnant

I may be having a FET in December. If we get the results back from PGS in time, I'll be transferring before Christmas. RE wants me to come in for a baseline this week to see if we can start prepping me, in case the results come back in time. Fx!

I've never done a FET. What's the protocol? Progesterone and estrogen along with lupron or Ganirelix? Bcp?

We got our PGS results sooner than I thought we would and...

WE HAVE THREE PGS-NORMAL EMBRYOS!!

I am SO relieved. The last few days have been filled with shitty curveballs and I thought today would follow suit. Our 3 embies are made up of 2 day 5s and 1 day 6. Initially, I'm thinking about transferring one of the day 5s, and then if needed, transfer the other Day 5 with the Day 6 together.

Thank you everyone for the well-wishes! I'm so glad we get to continue our journey. : )

Added to the fact that my re wants me to do a natural start for a FET, which puts the pressure in to get the results sooner rather than later. Otherwise, no transfer this year. I'm happy with your report! It gives me hope. Thank you!

@tiffanyw1783 - I think I only do mine leading up to transfer and then switch to suppositories. Who knows why, but I guess I'll trust my docs judgement. Makes me nervous so many other women are doing PIO longer, but hey, one less needle, I'll take it, and I don't mind dealing with suppositories...

@Kp214 fx your results come in and that you also have a great result. The waiting sucks, but at least you'll have some insight into which of the 6 to transfer. Big hugs.

AFM - just had baseline bloodwork today so starting all my meds tomorrow I believe (assuming bloodwork comes back normal that is). I'm getting excited to do another round. Transfer will be here in no time! fx for all of us.

@Kp214 My protocol involved BCP immediately following my ER until I got my PGS results back. I then overlapped BCP with Lupron for a few days then stopped taking the pills. About 5 days after AF started, I began taking Estradiol and the patches with Lurpon. Next week after a monitoring appointment I will take PIO for a week, then switch to Crinone twice a day.

@oxinfree are you having any side effects with the letrozole? Also, if you aren't taking anything to prevent ovulation, have you noticed a change in when you ovulate? I've had a headache all day that 4 aleve haven't helped much and felt extremely tired. Just wondering if this is the letrozole.

@kp214 I took letrozole for 2 Iui cycles. I had crushing headaches. Nothing really helped besides laying down and going to sleep.

@kp214 I took letrozole with my first FET and didn't really have any symptoms. But I can say that the Delestrogen injections I've been doing the past two cycles give me a migraine the day following the injection. These meds are so fun, aren't they???

@Kp214 I'm on daily lupron, and yes AWFUL headaches. The headaches are almost migraine status so ya, dark spaces and sleep are what i naturally seek. Ive found a small matcha green tea latte alleviates it somewhat. Want to be off caffeine but its been unbearable.

@Vic311 interesting.... i suppose it could also be from delestrogen .... hmmmm.... so fun indeed hah

@LeFemmeViolette thanks for checking on me. No results. I actually called today to ask the lab a couple of questions. They said they are getting the results out much sooner, 3 weeks instead of 4. If that's the case, that will have me most likely miss doing a FET this year by a few days. DH is emailing to ask if we can use the leftover Ganirelix to buy us about 5 days. What about you? When are you transferring?
