These are the boys outfits, the brand is Kickee Pants, and it is literally the softest cotton I have ever felt! I also got the matching blankets, since it will be winter time! One is light blue and white striped, and the other has bears and foxes on it. I can't wait to hug them!
@tinattt23 That particular one is Etsy, but there is a similar one on Amazon as well. It doesn't have a bow tie, but you can get the same pattern in a sleeper too.
@tinattt23, I was thinking about getting the Bean a little Christmas dress but I'm afraid that if I do, I will jinx myself and she will be late! Due date is December 18th and I was told by my MD office that they wouldn't let me go past 41 weeks, but that puts me right at Christmas Day and I don't think they'd purposely schedule an induction that day... so I might wait till she's here before getting a Christmas-specific outfit. Plus, then I'll have a better idea of what size I need. Knowing my luck, I'd get her something really cute that won't fit!
I honestly hadn't thought about Christmas. We do have a few fleece sleep suits that are Christmas/winter themed that we thrifted. Our C-section is scheduled for December 1 so he'll definitely be here on Christmas to wear one of those sleep suits.
I don't have a coming home outfit yet, but this is his Christmas outfit, honestly I'll probably buy like 3 more - I love Christmas baby clothes! We're doing a super casual Christmas at home.
I really wanted to do the same outfit DS came home in... But there's two babies, so, that's difficult. We bought a few fleece newborn sleepers and have a preemie wardrobe if we need it. We may bring them home in cute fleece sleepers. We'll see.
Feeling similar- though I might bring cute shirts (they do in hospital photos), but we'll see about that later. Just going HOME soon after birth will be the special enough!!
Edited to add that i DO super love the little efl sleeper though @slartybartfast ... I could get on board with something like that!
I've been searching with no such luck. We were team green with DS1 and he had the most adorable coming home outfit so I'm finding that I am constantly comparing.
I honestly haven't looked. I'm discouraged with all the pink lol. Honestly I haven't bought much in the way of clothes....so many people we know have girls and have told us they have clothes for us. So I've been holding off on buying much. A coworker and his wife just gave me four trash bags of clothes today! I'll be more excited about Christmas outfits
My grandma claims it's tradition to let DH pick baby's coming home outfit. Which scared me a bit bc I thought we'd need to pick a boy AND girl outfit...but he found something that will work for either. I found the booties later and will just make a hat. And since some of y'all posted Christmas outfits too, I had him pick one of those while we were at BRU (we drove 3.5 hours to look at strollers and actually have variety, so I took advantage of having more clothing selection!)
@DiFazette We're doing the same outfit DS came home in. But you're right that would be a wee bit tricky since you have two this time... unless it's a two piece outfit you could split between both of them?
I definetly want to get a Christmas dress. I've seen cute ones but am not sure if I should get newborn size or 0-3. Anyone have any advice? I'm due the 12th.
@cgss11 I would go 0-3 months. She can wear a slightly big dress but NB may not be big enough. Some babies don't wear nb at all...my first baby wore it for 2 months then 0-3 month stuff until 6 months. Better safe than sorry for a nice Christmas dress
I never had a chance to think about a coming home outfit, DH came up to me in BRU when we were signing up for our registry and said "our little girl needs this" and held out a Minnie mouse onesie, cap and bootie box set (it says fits up to 6 months?) so I knew from that moment that had to be her outfit, I found some pants and a sweater to pair it with
@dmontgo im in love with the teddy bear jackets! We have one, there's another on our registry, and my SIL has shown me one she wants to buy for us! love Ashton's outfit!!!!
We haven't put any thought into the coming home outfit yet I just don't know what size to get. Both DH and I were BIG babies (9.4 and 9.9), but I don't want to assume this one won't fit in NB. Did you all buy NB or 0-3 month sizes? Or one of both?
Since we are due Christmas week, we've joked about either getting a Santa outfit or a Reindeer outfit.
Even big babies can fit newborn! DDs were 9lbs and 8.5 lbs, but 19 inches long- they both wore just the newborn stuff for 6 weeks. The 0-3 stuff was HUGE on them!!! Niw if you think your baby is going to be like 24 inches long, then 0-3 might be a better option.
@AbriannaO I'm going with NB, but I was a small baby, FI and I are both just small people in general, and baby has been measuring a little small this whole time. Worst case scenario I have someone run home or to the store and grab something in a bigger size after baby is born.
I haven't picked anything out yet...still looking but we're going with newborn too. Both my boys were small, 6lbs 15oz 19 1/4 in & 6lbs 7oz 21 in, and they both wore the same going home outfit in newborn size and they were swimming in it lol...I figure newborn size will be big this time too. Here's to show how big the newborn size was...
** Having problems uploading pics, so I apologize in advance! I hate IE at work... it's SO slow, and just doesn't work in general. I DLed Firefox this morning and just need my computer to update for it to be installed. **
I haven't even thought of a coming home outfit, and may just go with whatever I have bought him before then. Supposedly, it's going to be mild temps through the end of the year so may not be SUPER cold like it could get in December already. But, who knows. I should be the lookout, though. I did buy a bodysuit hat we used for some maternity pics that could be layered under something.
However, he does have a Christmas outfit already that my mom bought. She got it at Herberger's in one size and at Kohl's in another, depending on how big he is at the time. This is that one (it's the First Christmas one):
But, I think he'll need more than the one... one for Christmas Eve and the other Christmas Day. I really like this (the santa one):
I don't know what our plans are yet, but will definitely need a few for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, depending on what families we're with. I doubt we'd get out of town unless we went to the inlaws, which is only a 45 minute drive.
And now I see that they didn't even upload, ugh!!

mobile bumping, stuck in the box! I agree! No matter how big they seem in your belly, they're actually pretty tiny in comparison when they are out. It's a good idea to get a preemie outfit if you think your baby might be average or a little small. My 9lb DD had 3 preemie outfits that were hand me downs, they fit her for 2 weeks!
I had picked out a cute outfit I was going to order but now that Jeb has come 7 weeks early I have ordered several preemie outfits and will just use one of them. He may be in preemie clothes for quite a while so I may be forced to do even more shopping...

I also really love this onesie with a tie + tiny jeans we found at a thrift store:
Then we'll also pack something super small and then a size larger just in case our little guy is especially small or big.

Ashton's going home outfit has been finally decided and it is fabulous. He's going to look like a little bear and I am not sorry.
