Get rest lady and don't worry. One thing I alway remember is that they always do come out... one way or another. Prayers for your BP and overall health!
Thinking of you @Austenista...hope that your symptoms don't worsen, that you are able to get some rest, and that you're able to make it to your goal day.
First of all thank you all so much for prayers and thoughts, and just caring in general. I appreciate it so much! Second order of business, I was NOT disappointed to be sent home. I was really worried and kind of mourning Eaton having to be born in the 35th week. DH and I were crying last night trying to reassure ourselves he would thrive. He traces really good on the monitor (when he'll cooperate - literally most of my night last night was me laying there while the nurse chased his heartbeat around my tummy. If I hadn't been exhausted and uncomfortable I would have felt so sorry for her) and he did well on his BPP minus low fluid, but you can never know.
After the stuff they administered to get me dilated enough to break my water didn't do anything at all, the doctor gave me the option of having a c-section this morning or letting baby try to get to 37 weeks and me stick to bedrest. I was told I could do couch/bathroom/bed and that's it. It was an easy choice for us and the one my OB was rooting for. He insisted the choice was mine but made it clear which he preferred. DH packed up the room within minutes and we came home, quickly ate breakfast and went to bed because I hadn't slept all night and DH had only managed 2 hours.
I'm pretty content with this plan for now and really happy baby can stay in a little longer because every single day he can stay in is so helpful to him. So I'm going to savor these last few days with him and use this time to finish getting ready as much as possible anyway.
Thank y'all so much, again and again. I'm really sore, crampy, and bleeding some from repetitive cervix checks, but I'm home in my pajamas so I am lucky to get to rest on my own couch and bed. I go back to the doctor on Monday and then again on Wednesday so they're keeping a close eye. My OB doctors are so sweet and caring, the one I saw this past Wednesday came and double checked behind the one sending me home today just to make sure I was okay to go home. It made me feel really good and protected to be cared about that much.
I'll keep you all in the loop but we're hoping to make a week and two days of no action. Hopefully my biggest challenge in the next few days is remembering to not do anything and dictating Thanksgiving dinner recipes to DH from the couch.
@Austenista I'm glad you are home and resting and that Eaton gets to cook a bit longer. I'm sorry you had to go through this! You could always order thanksgiving dinner from a local restaurant!!!

@Austenista I hope you've been able to catch up on your rest! I know you are relieved that Eaton can stay put for a little bit longer! Dictate from the couch or bed as much as you can.
So glad Eaton gets to keep cooking there. And glad your OB will be monitoring closely but still letting you get your rest. Hoping for a few more uneventful weeks!
It sounds like you have really wise and flexible OBs @Austenista Im so glad they gave you the option to go home and that you have a lot of peace and perspective about it! A little more cooking is usually a good thing. hugs!
Get some good rest during this time hun. Sending positive thoughts your way and hope LO can bake a little bit longer. It sounds like you're making great decisions for his/her well-being.
