It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

  • @Pinky917 Definitely don't read into individual temps!  You should be looking for an overall trend and the important thing is that you are able to see the temp shift indicating O.

  • @adirat how has the avoiding soy been going? I find myself getting so frustrated because it's literally in everything! I have a delayed food allergy to soy so I don't feel the effects sometimes until later in the day or a few days later (pain in my chest from inflamed esophagus). Eating out is the worst, everything is fried or cooked in soybean oil or has it in the dressing!
  • @TravelingCouple Good luck today! @lulu1180 @Flinstone @adirat Thanks for keeping me sane ladies. I think the perfectionist side of my brain was kicking in so I was starting to convince myself that I must be messing this up somehow. @Starla Nothing too major, like my job is not in danger or anything like that. A while back I took on a bunch of added responsibilities under the idea that there would likely be a new position coming out for me, and now I am not so sure that may be happening. So now I am just stuck with all the extra work (and still getting more work), and nothing in return.

  • @adirat thank you for the stalk! I think alcohol may be to blame for higher temps on CD12 and 13.

This is only my 3rd cycle temping.  My first cycle's coverline was 97.86. Last month's coverline was 97.36. Aka I'm a temping disaster.

Take a look at my blog

  • @julesdp Yep, alcohol spikes my temps too. I'd ignore those days.

@beachbunnyxo123 It is going... Frustratingly. I never knew how many things have soy lecithin or soybean oil or soy-based margarine. Flavored black tea? Nope. Mayo? Nope. Grocery store bakery cookies? Nope. Burt's Bees chapstick? Nope.

But I do think it was helping -- when I was super hard core about it I got to a 10 day lp. This past cycle I didn't do a good job and was back to 8 days.

  • @adirat wow that's great that it helped!! I have found a lot of good finds that are soy free but it's so hard and makes eating at other places besides home impossible!!
  • @beachbunnyxo123 I know. Finding out that mayo is made with soybean oil -- even the olive oil mayo -- crossed basically every single sandwich place off the list. I went to the Thai place near my house and asked if they can make dishes without soy sauce and soybean oil and they said yes to the soy sauce but weren't sure about the oil. Sigh.

How do you handle it? Are there cuisines you've found are safe for eating out?

  • @LuND My husband's family is doing the same thing! There has been a bunch of drama in his family this year so I'm not sure what the Thanksgiving plans are, and there are only certain family members we can stay with when we go there, so planning is required. Yet when I asked yesterday evening when we were going up, and for how long, he just shrugged.

Also, if I ovulate like I have been the last few cycles, I will ovulate the day after Thanksgiving so I reeeeeally don't want to spend much time there and miss the best days of FW. I told him that too lol.

  • @LuND I would just tell them you have plans with friends or something, since they hadn't said anything.  If they don't live close enough to easily drive by your house, why not?

I am a Cancer. I haven't really looked into it enough to know about the typical personalities of it or the matching up.
