@JustAnotherUsername16 Yeah, the pounds are definitely starting to creep up on the scale! I'm actually okay with it because the weight increase is aligned with the growth of my bump (and not say, my ass or face ) but it's still mind-boggling when I see the numbers. I am almost to my weight in high school, when I was a bit chubby.
Thankfully my doctor doesn't ever talk about my weight, he just says I'm doing great....at some point I need to just stop looking at the scale and remember I'm pregnant, I'm not getting fat.
@dubcompanion yea all my weight is in my belly (which used to be flat as a board - something I was very proud of). I wasn't really concerned until I plugged in my weight to some chart to see if how much I gained was "normal" and it told me I should be 1.5 months further along than I actually am considering how much weight I had already gained. *gulp*
Just a suggestion.... I stand on the scale backward. I have struggled with an eating disorder, and all the staff at my OB office have been trained to not tell me my weight. Of course, I can always look if I want to, but I don't see any reason to. I trust my doctor to let me know if I'm gaining too much or not gaining enough. With my first, I did look toward the end and had gained nearly 70 pounds! But my doctors were perfectly fine with that since I started out underweight. If you find yourself bugging out over the weight gain though, feel free to simply stand on the scale backward. No sense in causing yourself unnecessary stress over something if you don't have to!
@JustAnotherUsername16 Interesting! Thanks for sharing. Even though I'm considered healthy for that chart, I'm not a big fan of it. It seems simplified and, just like a static fertility chart, assumes everyone's body is the same. That said, I can see many women using it to keep track of their pregnancy weight. Which could be a good thing but also needlessly stressful.
Almost 25 weeks! Yeah, I've also been a little freaked out by my weight gain. I'd gained about 5 pounds by 16 weeks then all the sudden I gained 10 more in 8 weeks. I have enough experience tracking calories and weight to know it's just baby. And at my 24 week appointment my doctor didn't mention it. I don't think people gain as steadily as the charts make you feel you should. And 25 pounds total is if you start overweight. If you are average or under or have multiples you need to gain more. I have always heard 25 to 35 is normal for average weight.
26 weeks. Personally I just weigh in at the doc office. Otherwise I would become paranoid, I'm naturally thin in my normal life. I plan on exercising after baby for sure.
I am finally going to give this HDBD thing a try... Please excuse the background! Not much of a bump there but definitely an active baby inside! 22w 5days (FTM) today but they keep measuring me about a week ahead of that at appointments.
22 weeks + 5 days. I recommend to those concerned about the number, don't weigh yourself anymore. With the exception of just before this photo, I've stopped weighing myself. I've already gained 20 pounds so far, and I don't plan on weighing myself again. It's not like I have the option of dieting, I'm mostly eating healthy and still staying active. That's all you can do! You'll work the weight off when the baby is here.
I purposely included a front facing photo to show that I'm still not much bigger than I was before (excluding the bump obviously, haha). Yet I'm supposedly 10 pounds past what I'm supposed to be at this point. Don't worry too much about the numbers.

21 weeks FTM According to that chart I've already gained more than double the MAX that I "should" have by now! 22.8 to be exact lol Every body is different & every pregnancy is different, so even though I'm tracking my weight weekly (despite being in recovery from an eating disorder; I wouldn't weigh myself pre-pregnancy) I'm not letting it stress me out. I'm healthy, baby's healthy - that's all that matters! You all look great!!!
22+5 weeks STM! ... so glad I don't own a scale and beginning to question if I should get on the one at the office backwards... I gained 39 with my first and never lost the final 10

I think everyone looks great! I was worried about not gaining enough weight early on and my Midwife and nutritionist have repeatedly reassured me that the number on the scale is just that- a number. All the charts and suggestions are merely guidelines. As long as Mama and Baby are healthy don't worry about it.
So I'm not sure how much weight I've gained. At my last appt it was maybe 5 lbs. my midwife wants me to stay around 10. I guess if I ever get the energy to work out I might be able to make it happen. I looked at last weeks picture and I've definitely popped more since last Wednesday. And today is our oldest birthday he turned 15 today!!!!
25 weeks FTM and my app kindly notified me that my uterus is as big as a soccer ball. GEEZ.
I, too, am trying not to worry about my weight. I was keeping myself on a pretty strict low-calorie diet to lose weight before getting pregnant (at the recommendation of my doctor). As soon as I got pregnant and switched to maintenance calories instead of weight-loss calories, the scale got pretty cruel... but I feel good, my baby is healthy (and kicking me as I type), and I'm trying to eat a variety of healthy foods to help develop his taste buds! We've all got this. Keep growing and sharing the bumps!!
