Trying to Get Pregnant

WTO Tuesday 11/15

Re: WTO Tuesday 11/15

  • Hi all, I just got my CD3 FSH and AMH results. My FSH was 7.9 and my AMH was 1.79. Both fall into the "normal" range but she said that an AMH of 1.79 is a bit lower than expected for my age (I am 27). I googled AMH charts, and some consider my number to be OK but others consider it to be low. But these are all charts on seemingly random websites -- I can't find anything reputable. Does anyone have insights on this? I'm a little worried.

  • @Coloradohiker where in MD are you?? I'm in the Baltimore suburbs. In the TWW GTKY today I mentioned how much houses are. Why do we live here when it's so expensive?!

  • @adirat I wish I could give some real insight but I did find these sites (which I'm sure you found already) and according to them it looks like you're in the normal range but on the lower end of that range.  If I find anything else, I'll let you know!

    @linzrunz fx your appointment goes well

  • @lulu1180 Thanks! Yes, I found those. Different RE practices' websites have different charts and info, and my go to (NIH) doesn't have a chart, so...

    I could use some real data, NIH! Thanks!

  • @JuneRoseRuby Yea I mean the whole concept is a pretty weird one but compared to the kinds of testing we have to go through it is easy! I think if you can arrange for it to be done at home it makes it a lot less awkward. You just put the thing in a paper bag and drop it off! This process sucks but for me it helped to get answers and go through the testing to rule out anything crazy. I really do wish there was some magic pill to take though! Sending you hugs and feel free to reach out to me directly anytime you want to know about this testing business!
  • @JuneRoseRuby @Kiki75 sorry for new cycle. @kiki75 your bit about saying a little prayer for people is really sweet!

    I just got caught up on everyone's posts. It's hard for me to Bump at work, especially on mobile. :(

    I'm thinking of all the ladies that are struggling this and every cycle even though I can't comment on every post. My heart goes out to you.. seriously. Hugs...

  • Question about green tea. I see some ladies listing it as a WAYDTGKU. Does it actually help with KTFU and/or CM? Do you drink decaf?

    I've read it can be bad for TTC but I assume it's the caffeine. Is that true? Do you stop during TWW?

  • Where did today go!? I'm just getting back to TB now.

    @lulu1180 - that's really awesome of your colleague to open up like that to you!
    @Ohemgee - FX for O today!
    @lmmtravels - MH is a musician. any names we may know? (I know a lot that most people probably wouldn't)
    @swimsister - hahahaha a Man Cold. I'm dying over here! so true!
    @wabash15 - happy anniversary! MH would be ecstatic with pizza too. he could eat it every meal.
    @adirat - I'm amazed you wrote YHs CV! And GL with the test results. sorry I don't have any insight there.
    @baileygomez - I would probably go with the earlier temp personally. but definitely note the time, and in notes put the other temp and time in case you think FF is wrong later with o date and that changes it.
    @BertieMeetsGertie - glad the Dr answered all your questions! that's always helpful to feel listened to.
    @JuneRubyRose - sorry you're back in WTO!
    @linzrunz - an amendment to your birth certificate!? crazy! did your dad fill it out? My dad can never remember how to spell my middle name... and it's not an uncommon name. haha. i have a cousin whose H filled out their daughters birth certificate and now she has an extra letter because of him.

    @eggplantface thanks for the insight! I haven’t had a full month of regular temping and honestly don’t do it as regimented as I should (not at the exact time each day, but within about 30 min.). DH and I are going to HIO EOD until Thanksgiving, most likely…or we’ll at least attempt to.

    @JuneRoseRuby, haha, I don’t think I could do it with my parents so close by!!!

  • @Starla @lmmtravels Green tea is used to help increase EWCM.  Some people only drink it while WTO as it can reduce folic acid absorption; I drink it during the entire cycle as I have severely limited my caffeine intake otherwise and I drink the green tea in the morning and take my PNV in the evening.  Last cycle I did see an increase in EWCM but I think it was more from the extra hydration than the green tea

  • @adirat I cant seem to find my test results that had the range on it. If I do I'll let you know. I do know CoQ10 is supposed to help with egg quality but I know the test is for quantity. I am sure this has been discussed over in the IF check in on this board. I see that you started a new thread so hopefully that will pull people over with the knowledge. Try not to worry!!

  • @saralee797 Thanks, I appreciate it. I bought some CoQ10 and I'm going to start taking it religiously. Honestly, I'm not too worried right now, but it's making me wonder if we should be more aggressive... in case we do need to move to something like IUI/IVF, I'd rather do so sooner than later. But for now I am trying to chill.

    @BertieMeetsGertie I know! A bunch of friends in college had a plugin you could turn on to stop your internet browser from working for X period of time that they used when writing papers... I need that again. Also yay Bob's Burgers.

  • @beachbunnyxo123 when you find the motivation please share! I have been trying so hard to get back into my gym routine. The struggle...

    @FLAshley I am sorry you and DH were arguing during FW. I am having the same issue, I am pretty sure this week is O week and DH and I have been bickering. WAYDTGKU: Green tea, BBT, HIO EOD, exercise

    CS/Q: Is anyone else trying to triangulate her cycle by using more than 1 app? I have 5 in rotation and they don't all agree on FW.

    GTKY: What is something that most people don't know about you? If I meet someone in the colder months when I am generally all bundled up, they are shocked to find out that my arms are covered in tattoos.

    ps I had this drafted before I did a FR OPK. Looks like I have 2 faint lines so if temp rises tomorrow I'll be moving over to TWW.

  • @vegetalienne Since you're doing BBT, that's really all you need. I use Clue but manually override O to the day I ovulate based on temps. The prediction power isn't great -- I still track CM and OPKs to predict FW -- but you can manually override (which I want in order to count my LP days).
