STM! We have a pretty tenured crew here. I saw a thread on another BMB where the moms who already had 2+ shared advice and wisdom with those of us going from 1 to 2 (or 1 to 3!). Would anyone else be interested in that? I personally will take all the help I can get!
@livin541 We actually have had 1 or 2 posts like that on here. Check near the beginning. One was something like "I wish I would have known...". Another was a post about the beast parts of having a newborn.
That being said, I'd love to see some more of those posts occasionally!
@livin541- I think some posts like that will be more relevant later in pregnancy... you know... so you don't have to remember the information for so long with pregnancy brain! I know I spent A LOT of time researching what to pack in my hospital bag the first time around, so surely one of those can get started later.
ETA: I think C-section info would be a good one too (even for those who don't think they'll need it - I didn't!).

I’m a modern man, a man for the millennium. Digital and smoke free. A diversified multi-cultural, post-modern deconstruction that is anatomically and ecologically incorrect. I’ve been up linked and downloaded, I’ve been inputted and outsourced, I know the upside of downsizing, I know the downside of upgrading. I’m a high-tech low-life. A cutting edge, state-of-the-art bi-coastal multi-tasker and I can give you a gigabyte in a nanosecond! I’m new wave, but I’m old school and my inner child is outward bound. I’m a hot-wired, heat seeking, warm-hearted cool customer, voice activated and bio-degradable. I interface with my database, my database is in cyberspace, so I’m interactive, I’m hyperactive and from time to time I’m radioactive.
I feel like a bored loser but based on the spreadsheet we have the following: FTM: 74 STM: 69 3rd +: 26
I know we have plenty of active people that are not on the spreadsheet which is fine, and several people on the spreadsheet that are not very active if at all. I just thought it would at least be interesting to see the stats compared to the poll.
@pshaortao That is interesting. It seems like a higher percentage of FTMs may not be as active on the board. Or maybe they're lurking more often if they don't feel that they have advice to give?
Maybe so! I definitely participate a lot more this time around than on my last BMB. I felt like I had very little to contribute, but fortunately I participated enough to be part of the fb group at the end and cannot imagine life without an amazing group of women. We can always do some kind of roll call thread to bring in the lurkers

I'm not even sure I added myself to the spread sheet :hangs head: off to go do that I guess.
Interesting that we have lost so many FTMs!! My guess is that they were either drive bys that needed someone to share the news with but weren't looking for a community or we've lost them to the infamous FB group.

I'm so relieved that I'm not the only Type-A, anal-retentive one who is SO bothered by the "birth" announcement and that STUPID registry event thing. If they're going to put something up thats only active for ONE DAY, it'll obviously stay on the first page without being stickied.

I think a lot of us feel the same way. You hear that @ashaw84 ?

Based on the number of intros and "birth" announcements (cringe), I think we have a lot of FTM lurkers.
