we love to watch movies together. Every Friday night we drink wine and switch off picking a movie the other one hasn't seen. We aren't allowed to be on our phones so we put them away. It's fun. We also like to watch/go to football games, we take a family walk every Saturday morning with DS and the pup. We aren't very exciting.

Then I had to deal with the news that the Packer game isn't on here today! Fox is showing the stupid Jets game. The JETS? Is that a JOKE? @Bertiemeetsgertie how can they do this to me?
I have a goal of getting back to my TTC routine and looking on the bright side tomorrow. But that's tomorrow. I need another wallowing day first.
CS/Q: Well at least I learned last cycle that you can have a "implantation dip" and a triphasic chart and still not be pregnant. Great.

@Starla Haha, thanks. I appreciate it.
@ChefRamsay Yep, the suggestion is to wait for three high temps before moving to TWW so that you are confirming O. (Unless you've confirmed with an ultrasound or trigger, for instance.) That is a great temp spike! There is something so satisfying about temping.
@adirat So, since there seems to be a lot of Packer fans here, does that mean there are no Vikings fans? I'm not a fan of either team (go niners!) But, I do live in MN and enjoy watching the quarrels between the two fans

@FLAshley Like @adirat I get a temp drop on O day. Mine drops a considerable amount so it's pretty predictable for me.

FWIW, my CM is not at all predictive of O (I continue to get it after O for a day or two) so that wouldn't work for me, but it does seem to work for others.
@Bumpybump and @purplg8r Yay for CH! Don't you come back now!
FWIW, I have found CM to be a better indicator than either CP and OPKs. My CP is all over the place and I have only gotten a very faint line on the OPKs. Last cycle I had a faint line for 3 days and FF have me dotted CH on the third day.

I'm the same way -- I drink a lot of water and have to make a concerted effort to reduce intake and do a hold in order to get a positive. I usually get a positive in the late morning or midday. I ovulate the same day (according to temps) as my positive, and the day before that it's medium-dark but not a true positive.
@JulesDP and @bumpybump I did the exact same... I saw all of the discussion in the Weekend Randoms thread, and of course the OP. I started to write a response, but wasn't able to come up with anything that wasn't overly rude, so figured I'd leave it and have more wine. Was really glad to see that @lulu1180 and @RunRestRepeat answer the way they did.
@ChefRamsay That is a nice spike! FX that it stays up for you! I will second what @Buthayna said though, sometimes it can play games on you - for me, I find that happens most often on the weekend, because I drink more wine on Friday/Saturday when DH cooks us a nice dinner haha

R/R: Ugh - still annoyed by the drive by post yesterday. I haven't been trying nearly as long as a lot of you, so it's not as hurtful to me... But I just don't get how people can be so insensitive! I know that last cycle, I actually felt worried after joining the pee pact, because I didn't know if I got a BFP (which I didn't, obviously), if I should post in the grad thread or not since it was my first cycle but I had been here every day. I know it's silly to worry about that - but I hated the thought of being the person who would knowing upset people... And then you get people who just don't care. I just honestly don't understand it, and it drives me BSC.
CS/Q: OPKs - I'm planning on using them for the first time this month. I've been doing my research and it seems that a lot of people say the best time to test is early afternoon. For those of you who use them, do you test at work? Or do you test as soon as you get home?
@Sailing_Mama I used OPKs for the first time this cycle, too. I ended up testing in the morning before work (around 7a) and again when I got home (around 5:30-6p) just to see if I could catch it. The day I ended up turning the OPK was the day I actually got home late and tested around 7:30p. I know most of the advice I received was to try for morning, then again in late afternoon/early evening. From there, if you miss your surge, you can always add in an afternoon test (I didn't want to do this right away since I didn't want to have to deal with testing at work if I didn't have to).

Also, I'm making brunch right now and I'm so excited for it. Homefries, bacon, scrambled eggs, and pancakes. I love food so much, you'll always see me mention it.
CS/Q: Yesterday was CD55 and out of NOWHERE I had fertile quality CM, so I took my first-ever OPK... It was positive. So I'm excited that I could possibly ovulate, but also nervous because I know it could mean other things in a cycle this long and it could also mean nothing. I'm charting and I had a slight temperature dip today, so if it shoots up tomorrow, I'll know. I have an appointment with my GYN tomorrow so I will mention it.

@Starla my RE recommended taking opks from 11-1 with at least a 3 hour hold and to limit liquids during the 3 hour hold. My opks usually go from not quite positive to negative, which corresponds to my temp rise and cm. I don't usually get a true positive opk
@Sailing_Mama I usually test as soon as I get home from work, around 6 pm. When I was doing IUIs I had to test during work. If I was wearing a big sweater or something I could hide a pee cup in I'd bring a disposable one to use, if not, the Wondfo packets can be used as a pee cup.
