Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

It's official...

So the dr is giving me a wk for things to happen naturally but if it doesn't happen I will have to do the surgery. More waiting...

Re: It's official...

  • I'm so sorry to hear this.  The waiting was the hardest part for me during this miscarriage.  We were told on Oct 10th we would likely lose our baby but the heart didn't stop till Oct 31 and I finally started bleeding Nov 3.  Thinking of you and sending positive thoughts and vibes.

Side note- I feel like I maybe told you my timeline before, sorry if it was a repeat story.

Thanks.  You aren't alone in all of this.  Feel free to reach out if you need someone to talk to. During the wait I know I felt incredibly alone and isolated and scared.

  • I just feel so sick. I know some of it is nerves but I think it is also that my body is not back to normal. I just want this to be done
  • I know that feeling all too well.  I kept asking myself during those few weeks in between am I nauseous because I'm still pregnant or because I'm stressed?  Looking back likely stress but who knows....  I know for me my symptoms hung around on and off until about a week before we found out the heart stopped.

Your body will get back to normal or so people keep telling me.   I started bleeding 3 days after my ultrasound where they detected no heartbeat and I am just finishing up now so about 7-8 in all.  The first 2-3 days aren't pleasant but no worse than a horrible period.   If you have any questions about a natural miscarriage please don't hesitate to reach out, I'm an open book.

  • I'm technically 9 wks. Baby stopped growing at 6 wks. I've only had spotting. Since Sat.
  • I hope you start seeing some movement soon.  It helped me start to move on.  I'm still hurting but going through the bleeding helped me in the grieving process.

  • @Worldtravler0522 have you had the surgery as well? I feel like it's most likely going to happen.
  • I agree with @Worldtravler0522  the bleeding helped me grieve.  I didn't think it would but it did.  When I found out I just wanted it to be over.  I chose to take miso so I could at least control when.  Hugs to you @sprkls8506

  • @sprkls8506 I didn't need to with either miscarriage but I've had a d&c for fibroids when I was younger. If you need one physically they aren't that bad but mentally I'm sure it will be tough but no tougher than a natural miscarriage I would think.  It's all a mind f to be honest.

  • @SP128 and @Worldtravler0522 thank you!! I think I will def feel better once this is all done.

Highlight of our week was supposed to be putting up the tree . Well the brand new tree from last yr doesn't work. Now we need to go buy a new one.  :(
  • @sprkls8506 I'm so sorry you're going through this. I just experienced something very similar, but I had methotrexate. It is hard so please give take care of yourself and pamper yourself. After the mtx, I couldn't exercise or eat my normal healthy meals (due to the folic acid) for 3-4 weeks so I just didn't feel like myself. My HCG is almost back to 0 now so I can work out and eat veggies (crazy how when you aren't supposed to eat spinach, all you want to eat is spinach!). I feel like myself again and you eventually will too. I hope you feel a little comfort in knowing you're not alone in this :)
  • @RRDP glad you are feeling more like yourself and glad you can eat spinach again!
  • @sprkls8506 Hahahaha. Such a silly thing to complain about!
  • @RRDP I understand. When I knew I wasn't pregnant I got a roast beef sandwich and a SODA. It is rare that I drink soda but I never drink it when I'm pregnant. I'm looking forward to feta cheese on a salad soon  :)
