@dmontgo Growing up it was always funny because my dad has that aura about him and would always get the weirdest people talking to him especially when we were out of town/on vacation/etc. I guess I also inherited that because I find myself in those situations more and more.
@gowenc I had trouble with getting stuff from our target registry in store too. We used our online one and just had our instore coupon left. The closest target is a 50 minute drive away. We were planning on getting our list big item from there and then getting smaller items. We were going when they had that gift card deal on baby items so we had a game plan to spend a certain amount to get the gift card rebate. We checked that they had the major, big item before we drove there just for that. We got a scanner when we got there to scan all the small stuff we were going to get to. Then lastly, we go to get the big item and they don't have any on the floor, just the model. So we ask someone. Their system says they have one but they can't find it (they don't look very hard). So I thought maybe we'd be able to order it and pay in store with all our other stuff. Nope, apparently they are about the only store that doesn't do that? So at this point we could buy the remaining small stuff but we won't hit the amount to get the gift card rebate so we say screw it and leave out cart full of stuff at the counter.

@yellingbanana I agree with Kate08Young. Tell the in laws that it has become apparent that the house cannot accommodate guests right now and you aren't but feeling well so you won't be hosting.
My Bf is my two dogs Well I have 3 but the one is outside during the day time because hes like 150 pounds and I can't control him on a leash so we leave him out during the day and at night he stays inside. But the other two are in ab out all day. i leave my front door open on warm days so they can come in and out as they please but they sleep in a kennel at night inside the house and then in the morning if they've made a mess the night before I have to clean it up but I can't even take the time to eat breakfast or go use the restroom before they start whining and crying and yapping so loud where you can hear them outside. They won't even stop long enough for me to go and make their food bowls and everything so that they can eat so by the time that whole ordeal is over with I'm stressed out and ready to cry. My fiance cant do anything to help because he's at work from 7 in the morning so I'm just exhausted and ready to make them permanent outside dogs.
& then our hot water heater is leaking so I have no water today until he gets home with the parts to fix it after work but I have jugs of water for drinking or cooking or whatever I need
@Kate08Young im glad I'm not the only one that has dogs that decides when they're gonna use the outside to use the bathroom and when they're gobna go inside. One of min does that or should I say my fiance's dog does that. I can let her and my dog outside all day long to run and then as soon as she gets inside at night she likes to find a place and go and then I end up cleaning it up because he works all day everyday and he's usually exhausted so I have r to deal with it but luckily she's just a little dog like the size of a chihuahua but its still annoying because mine will go outside with no problems and has only had one or two accidents but it's a every time thing with her. I think she does it because she doesn't like me and thinks she doesn't have to listen to me.
I want to change my BF. Our close family friend and neighbor went missing on Friday. We have spent three days searching for him, only to find out this morning that he has been in the morgue at a local hospital. He had passed away in a single vehicle accident on Friday. The hospital knew who he was, they knew where he lived, but they didn't try to find any of his next of kin for 4 days. We even found out that there was an online newspaper article published about his death NINE HOURS before the family knew. Meanwhile, his relatives have come from all over the south, worried that he was lost or the victim of a crime. The sheriff's department in the county where the accident took place didn't even bother notifying the sheriff's department in the county where our friend lived! Our friend's missing person report was all over the news and at every police department in the state for two days, and no one called. I just have trouble understanding how so many people dropped the ball for so long.
Lurking from N16 -- I also had an issue with the Target registry coupon. We went Sunday to buy some remaining items and even though they scanned the registry ID and coupon it wouldn't work. The cashier kept trying and eventually a supervisor came over and just manually took off 15% of the baby items. Super annoying though now I still have a 15% off to use later for diapers or something
New day, new BF. This time it's the Camry. Yes we just got a Corolla but DH is getting the Camry. Take it in today because the light over the license plate went out again and we figured we would get an oil change. Yeah, not only did it have an oil leak, but a transmission leak as well! Yeah, so all that money I didn't spend on wiring last week is now going to fixing that. $338 to be exact. FML. Just can't catch a flipping break here. Every time we have money saved up something happens with this damn car! I'm over it.

My Monday BF is related to my FI's family. We just had some of them over on Sunday for lunch and to watch football. Once again, one of his aunts can't keep her hands off my stomach, despite being told several times it makes me feel uncomfortable. MY STOMACH IS NOT PUBIC PROPERTY LADY, KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, the questions about the names have to stop. My FI and I have made it very clear to both my family and his that we do not have a name picked out, and if and when we do, everyone will find out when she is born. NOT BEFORE. So what does his family keep asking me on Sunday? Yep, you guessed it. They ask what name we have picked out, that they simply must know. So I told them it was Xena Warrior Princess. Of course, that went way over the older generation's head, but the younger people started to snicker. They got the message. The older ones just asked me if it was a family name on my side, because it was so unusual. ARGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
My MIL informed me on the way back to her house from my baby shower that they were bringing their trailer and parking it in our back yard so they had a place to stay when baby comes. She says FIL has already talked to son and its fine. I told her this was the first I heard of this and that if they open our fence the whole thing will come crashing down and I have no interest in dealing with that and a new baby. Convo dropped.
Sunday Morning she informs Dh of the same thing. Dh informs her that the fence is not being opened, that it needs to be replaced and we aren't in a place to replace a 20 plus foot fence right now. She says well we aren't either. Well then fine, don't open our fence. I then proceed to ask how long she plans to stay and why can't she just stay in our guest room ? She tells me that the cats really bother her allergies, which is fine but I always extra clean that rrom and put new bedding and kick the cats out when she comes. She told DH and I she is staying as long as we need her. Um... Dh and I look at each other and say pretty much in unison "We think we would like some time alone to bond just the 3 of us." She goes oh that's how I was too. And then the convo is dropped. I seriously don't get her. Sometimes she's so logical and others she is crazy!

Todays BF is this OB office. I forgot incompetent they are. I have been checked in for over an hour, and still am in the waiting room. I should be almost home right now. L has missed his afternoon nap, and is being a holy terror. I HATE this office.

Easy enough - they have a printer at customer service. So she voids the sale, I put my cart aside and go to print the registry. Except the printer is jammed and the lady at that counter is deep in customers so she's no help. So I choose the option of sending it to my email. Email doesn't come (it did arrive about half an hour later when I was in the car on the way home). Then I choose to text the link to myself...that comes, but by that point I go back to check out and the customer service lady is nowhere to be found and the original cashier doesn't know what to do and has a line full of customers. So I pretty much said fuck this place and left empty handed. Please excuse my colorful language...I'm just done.
It's one of those nights when I REALLY wish I could have a stiff drink.
I had the same issue at Target on Sunday. However, the manager on duty just went ahead and gave me 15% off my entire transaction, even though a couple of items weren't on there. Well, I realized after I got home it didn't work because the cashier I was working with never put our registry number into the transaction. I'm sorry they werent more accomodating with you. I would be reaching out to customer service to see what they'll do about it for you. Otherwise how the hell else are you going to be able to use your in-store completion?!
For those of you having Target completion issues - would it be better to do it online? What do you do if store doesn't have the items you're looking for, do you order it in store? I'd like to avoid these issues if I can, but then what issues are people having when they do it online? We will be doing our final shopping between Babies R Us, Target, and Amazon.
@AbriannaO Since Target gives you one for online and one for in store we were hoping to get two big purchases out of it instead of all at once. I was hoping they would let us order in store and pay so we could use our second coupon, especially after driving over 45 minutes to get there and them not having what we wanted in stock. However, I was told Target doesn't do that. Maybe they were just being unaccommodating and other Targets do, I don't know. I didn't have any issues with using the online completion discount though. I haven't used my Amazon one yet, but I don't expect any issues there either.

I haven't had Target issues yet (plan to shop Friday night) but my plan is to buy what I can in the store. Then go home and order online the rest of the stuff, things that are either online only or they are out of stock in the store. You get two completion coupons, one for online and one in store.
What @AbriannaO said. We've already used the online discount coupon and wanted to use the in-store one on our remaining items that we were still deciding on. I plan to try again, this time with the coupon and registry both printed.
Since we're on a Target spree, do we know if we can use the Cartwheel coupons/promos also with the discount? I love that app and scanning stuff in the store for a coupon lol
@cgss11 yes you can. I did my discount the other day and gerber onesies were on cartwheel for 20% off and I got that deal as well. Luckily I didn't have any other issues, apparently that's not the norm.
@yellingbanana - Thank you so much. His death would have been hard on his family no matter what, but those four days in limbo made an already horrible situation that much more horrible. Now that they know what happened, I think they can finally start processing everything.
