I am not a germaphobe at all!! I don't care if people wash their hands before holding my babies, I don't carry around sanitizer, and if a binky drops on the floor, I pick it up and back in the mouth.
@Wino0920 I'm with you! I'm not a germaphobe. I actually hate hand sanitizer. I let my kids play at McDonalds and they always end up taking off their socks.
@Wino0920 well, a generation of germaphobes is probably why kids get sick more often as their older now. Parents don't let their kid's body's ever get used to germs and they're always getting sick. My sister is a huge germaphobe and her kids are constantly sick because they can't handle germs at all. Hand sanitizer is the worst. Using antibacterial things is really unnecessary in a daily setting and is actually probably making us all more prone to illness.
There is a poster here who cannot spell and it irks the ever-loving shit out of me. I'm super irrationally bothered by it. I'm not even a grammar cop, I normally don't care, but when I see it, I'm like:
@Assiram42 I immediately went and checked my posts for spelling mistakes.
@neludelu I totally brought out my maternity pants. No shame in that.
I am not a germaphobe either. The one thing that grosses me out though is other people's wet hair like in the shower at the gym. I can't deal with public showers without shoes.
My FFFC is that I started getting eyelash extensions before my bachelorette party almost two years ago with the intention of keeping up with them through the wedding.... now thousands of dollars later I can't stop. I'm addicted. I love them.
Also not a germaphobe. I was for a hot second when DD was first born but then my mentality quickly went to "fuck it."
DD has been up at 5am the last 3 days. I was so irrationally angry at her that I threw her some mini muffins and her milk and slept on the couch. She watched 2 episodes of Mickey. Whatevs.
@Wino0920 I will never forget when my sons pacifier dropped on the floor is a Disney bus when we were getting on and he grabbed it and put it back in his mouth before I could do anything the drivers eyes about popped out of his head. I was all eh it will build some immunities right? Even though inside I was a tad grossed out too.

We are renovating the kitchen and our stove has been out of commission for 2 days. Of course, I have plenty of fully cooked things in the fridge and freezer that I could heat up in the microwave, but I have been using the excuse to get takeout everyday instead.
I created a "comprehension quiz" to give today even though they have the actual workshop assessment on Monday because I just needed a day where I didn't have to interact with them all period.
PS I double checked my spelling on this post!

@Assiram42 Yep, was definitely one of the ones that went back and checked for spelling.
And high fives to the NON- germaphobes! Me neither!
Fridays are my slow days, so I have had entirely too much time to play on The Bump today. But I have a meeting from 12-1:30... Who plans a meeting RIGHT in the middle of lunch?! I have left over from Olive Garden last night and I am about to go ahead and dig into it at 10:45am! Not sorry about it!
@Assiram42 I had to go back and check my posts too. I'm a little paranoid as I type this too.
@loopstation104 I feel the same way about movies. They don't hold my attention the way books do. I do much better watching movies at home where I can do something else (usually knitting) while I watch.
I'm also not a germaphobe. I know this will freak out my mother and aunt once the baby comes, but I just can't make myself worry too much about the microbes that surround us every day. I teach microbiology, so I'm super careful in the lab, but day to day it's just about hand washing, basic food safety, staying up to date on vaccines, and using common sense.
@Wino0920 I don't think it's you.... but @Assiram42 I think I have found the annoying speller... I came across several of her posts with the excessive amount of time I have been on TB today.
I put on my maternity pants today. And then I made my husband tell me that it's not my imagination, I really am starting a pregnant belly (that looks like I ate too much). Ever since the twins news, I'm feeling... large. And I'm eating soooo much.

Guys, it's really not that serious. It just goes to show how bitchy I am lately, seriously spelling is what I choose to get irritated about? Of all the things. I promise it's no one who has commented here yet.
My husband's been away for work for 3 days and I haven't cleaned a damn thing during those 3 days....not even a dish. I'm wallowing in a dirty house and idgaf!
My husband and I are going to Austin this weekend with a group of friends, and leaving the kids at home with my sister. This will be the first time we've both been away from them overnight and I'm irrationally annoyed at myself for how anxious I am about it. They're 7 and 5, like, get a grip!!!
@Assiram42 I feel as though this is likely me. My phone and fingers play tricks on me constantly. I only go back and check about half of my posts. Oh well.
My FFFC is I am a horrible speller and I don't give a crap about grammar 90% of the time (when typing). I speak like a normal human IRL.

Not you. And honestly, I feel bad for sharing. I don't honestly care for spelling or grammar mistakes, but this poster's are so obviously wrong, it's just bad.
I have another one. My MIL is going up north for a girls weekend. They are stopping here to leave 2 cars and pile into 1 car. I'm home today but just don't feel like dealing with her over bearing showing off of DS to her work friends. She first told me 5pm, and I said we would be gone to our friends (having dinner together). Then she changed it to 3pm and I told her we would be napping.
I'm so impressed we have so many non-germaphobe ladies!! I'm with y'all on that, I hate hand sanitizer and purposely don't over do it with my kids but DH is the 3rd of 4... his mom is a pediatric nurse, and his older siblings are doctors. He is a huge germaphobe... it has actually opened my eyes a lot to different germ-potential situations that intuitively I would have never even thought about... but I don't act differently, I am just more aware of things that make germaphobes freak out. I should also add that I never get the stomach bugs or colds from our kids but DH ALWAYS gets them... so yeah, I think my approach to life seems just fine!
My FFFC is that I started getting eyelash extensions before my bachelorette party almost two years ago with the intention of keeping up with them through the wedding.... now thousands of dollars later I can't stop. I'm addicted. I love them.
I've wanted to try eyelash extensions for so long! I've never pulled the trigger. It would be awesome PP when you don't want to do your makeup!!
@Assiram42 No need to feel bad. I think it's kind of funny how many of us felt the need to automatically go back and check our previous posts for offensively bad spelling.
I've been building bunkbeds for my twins since January... and they are still not finished... sitting in the basement needing to be sanded, primed, and painted.
I have zero interest in finishing them right now and don't want my dad or DH to do it... DH asked me if I planned to get it done this weekend so... I've been shopping for bunkbeds online while I eat lunch today.
OK, I have another one, and I know this would TOTALLY get me to flamed if I posted it anywhere but this thread (and maybe even in this thread? since nobody knows that I am VERY LOGICAL and NOT PRONE TO FANCIFUL DAYDREAMS) but here goes: I swear I can feel the babies moving, and yes, I'm only 9w2d. I know it's totally unbelievable and I remember rolling my eyes HARD at another woman when I was pregnant in 2014 who claimed that as a FTM she could feel the movements at 9 weeks.
But here's the thing: It's twins, so I'm already getting bigger, and when I first felt DD's movements, it was like little light feathers brushing inside me. This is exactly what it feels like. And it happened a couple times over the last week, but today, I can't ignore it. It's happened over and over. It's not like the gurgles of GI movements. IT'S FEATHERS, NOT FARTS. I AM TELLING YOU.
OK, that's all, move along, nothing else to see here.

I'm gonna also be on the side of nope with this one. I think its the anticipation of twins. I had phantom movements after ds was born. I'm going with anticipation.
I'm refusing to breast feed this next child. I did for seven months with my son and I hated every minute of it. It made me stress out to not know how much he was eating. It gave me major major anxiety in public in case he got hungry. I travel for work and pumping while driving and in airport bathrooms sucked. We told me parents this weekend that the next kid is all formula and they really went off on me. Just can't do it again.
I've been eating awful for weeks. White bread, ice cream, Count Chocula, chips and dip. Today I had French bread pizza for lunch followed up by a row of candy cane Oreos.

I'm right there with ya. I nursed until 6 months with my daughter, and had very similar feelings. I'm contemplating some sort of combo feeding but leaning toward just formula feeding, but then feeling guilty about it. Good for you for making a decision and owning it!
