Re: FFFC 11/4

  • I dropped Savannah off at 11am with my parents for the day. DH and I are cleaning the house like mad because it has looked AWFUL! This is so long overdue it's not even funny.

Not so much a FFFC but I can't believe this is the first time I've done this! I wish my mom and dad would offer to take her for 4-5 hours more often! They are great and came to a bunch of weddings with us earlier this fall, etc. But I have never just dropped her off unless we had someplace important to be. I'm sort of surprised at how I don't feel guilty at all, I feel free! Even though I am cleaning and folding laundry at least I have both hands!!

I also plan on getting a manicure before I go get her, pending that there is enough milk left.

    ...and maybe a second Starbucks.

  • My confession is that I'm jealous.

There is a play that I want to see tonight at the local theatre. But because dh has spent so much on a hunting trip for later this month, I can't even afford the $20 ticket (assuming of course I could convince dh to put all three kids to bed anyway).

also, I volunteered to help with an open house at my son's school next Friday. Mostly I'm doing it because it means 3 hours when I'm not responsible for the kids. Love my kids to pieces, but having 3 kids with no help is totally kicking my butt lately.

  • Just found a beautiful pair of Coach boots in my closet... I've never worn them because they're a little too tight on my calves but I refuse to get rid of them in case I lose the weight.

    One day... sigh

Maybe I'm a mean wife, ok, not maybe, I AM a mean wife but I would tell your hubby he needs to find a way to get you a ticket and watch the kids so you can go to the play. You do so much!!!
  • I told my husband the event I went to started an hour earlier than it did and went over to my parents and hung out kid free. It was glorious!!!!

  • @AmberLiz99 I'm glad my DH doesn't read this forum bc I think he'd love to be like your husband with all his camping & hunting trips and he'd love for me to be like you! (It's not like i forbid it, but he doesn't have friends near us who do that stuff and he knows I'm still an amateur camper, I'm not ready to bring LO!)

My FFFC is I'm in a better mood today bc I got out of the house to do some shopping ... for stuff for our new house... at least I went somewhere besides the supermarket! I need to find other places to go that don't involve spending so much money! The colder weather limits my trips to the park : (

I have lived near the Colorado Rocky Mountains my entire 31 years of life and I can safely say I HATE CAMPING!!!!!! I told my husband if he wants me to like camping he needs to find us a camper... I do love my beautiful mountains though ; )
  • My FFFC for today is that I cannot wait until my LO gets older.  I love him to pieces just as he is now, but I am so looking forward to when he is big enough to run circles around me and talk back...I will regret this later, but I just can't wait to really know this little person.

My FFFC is that I'm having a bit of a body image crisis. It's so frustrating to go into my own closet and not find anything that fits and/or looks good while also not having a job to afford new clothes that work for me. And my hair is falling out. My husband doesn't understand and just tells me I look great (which I appreciate because I have lost weight) but I also feel like he's just placating me in my saggy jeans and worn out Tshirts. I tried to get dressed up for a happy hour and failed miserably, changed back into my jeans and nursing T and decided I'm staying home. End vent session.
