Thanks ladies... just got home. There's no proteins in my urine... my labs are perfect so there's nothing to do for me. BP is doing some odd stuff so not much to do but keep an eye on it regularly, which is what I've been doing.
@DiFazette Glad to hear you are ok! Seems like the same thing that's been happening to me -- high readings but perfect panels! Still worrisome but seems like not much can be done except wait and see. I hope your panels continue to be clear!
@dmontgo thanks. Weirdest part is that I had readings at 158/92 and 112/67 within an hour of each other with no substantial environmental change.
Docs are hopeful that even with two placentas I stay hypertensive rather than pre eclamptic. Me too, docs, me too. I just hate feeling like it could all turn to shit in a matter of minutes, but I guess that's true for all of us, I've just lived it before so I'm hyper aware.
@DiFazette I had the same type of thing happen last week. Readings ranged from 138/88 down to 99/55 and back to 135/83... all in 2 hours with nothing else changing! This kid is playing mind games with me!
@DiFazette YAY for regular panels and not being worse.
GUISE I get to go HOME!!!! Since I'm ~36 weeks my 'hometown' hospital can now handle any and everything. So I get to move from my parents couch back to my house with; the pups, H, friends, and access to my own vehicle again. Also L doesn't have to watch his dad leave without him again.

Up 4 lbs. since my last appt 2 weeks ago. OB thinks it's swelling and feels bad for my feet, but nothing we can do except watch salt intake. She did mention that it should be lost fairly easy once I deliver, so I'll be interested to see just how much actual weight I gained vs. that plus the water retention.
Baby HB was sounding good, and was at 120ish. I am measuring right on at 34 weeks, too.
Next one in 2 weeks at 36 weeks, which will do the Group B Strep and check my cervix. The nurse also mentioned some lab work to check hemoglobin's and other stuff. Then it's every week until I deliver. Crazy!!

36 week appt today, measuring correctly and had the GBS test. No dilation, which is good for me. I think I'll pass on the cervical check next week though. Friday I'll have a growth scan, and from here on out it's weekly appts. Time for panic to set in.
@Kate08Young that's awesome-I know it's been awful awful awful for you, but it's pretty amazing that you thought you were going to have this very premie baby, but look at you go!! What a miracle.
Had my 32 week appointment yesterday. Measuring on track, bp good, little girl's heartbeat was good although it took awhile to find lol. Looks like she's transverse right now but my dr isn't worried and said there's time for her to move into position. He said he'll check at 36 weeks where she's at and hopefully she'll be head down by then. My next appointment is in 2 weeks @ 34 weeks and then I go every week! Crazy!
Had an Appt this morning - Baby's head down, Dr's predicting him to be around 7lbs at birth, and my bacteria test came back negative from last week AND i finally got my flu shot plus the tdap shot last week so I'm all good to go! They will start doing cervical checks after 38 weeks.

@Kate08Young, so glad that you get to go home! I know it can't have been easy being away from your home and DH for so long.
@difazette, glad to hear your panels came back clear.
Had my tdap on Monday. My arm isn't sore at all but it was so itchy yesterday! Today I had my 32 week appointment. Blood pressure was good, fundal height was 34, heartbeat was good.

Yesterday's appointment went well. Got another ultrasound for the bean. He's weighing in at around 4lbs 13 oz and is still head down (so when I said I felt hands around my hip bones, I was indeed feeling hands, tyvm). Everything looked good, BP is still okay. They took some blood to recheck my thyroid and the nurse couldn't hit the vein and had to dig. That's what the bar that goes across your front is handy for because I would have fallen out for sure.
Pregnancy brain moment of the day was when they sent me in for a urine sample and I just went in there and used the restroom without ever grabbing a cup. We had a good laugh and I was able to give one after I'd seen the doctor. Nurse said she didn't think anyone has ever done that with her before.
Talked to the doctor about due dates and new years, and she assured me we'd be having this baby in 2016 one way or another. Mentioned my intensified sciatica and pelvic pain. It's pretty bad right now, and my shoulder is aching on the same side. She essentially said that's pregnancy. I might head to the chiropractor if it gets much worse though. Ugh.
Scheduled the rest of my appointments, that was surreal.
Had my 36 week appointment this morning. Pretty standard overall other than the GBS test, but I did get some lab orders due to some trace protein in my urine sample.
I had my first NST this morning and a check in with the midwife. All looks good - GBS came back negative, BP is good, and baby cooperated for the NST so I was able to get out of there within 20 minutes. The did an ultrasound to measure the fluid around his head, and that checked out, but the little dude had his hands in his face so we didn't get a good peek at him. They didn't do any other measurements on the ultrasound and now that I think about it I didn't ask what the fundal measurement was (though they did take it).
I also saw the chiropractor yesterday - this time it was one that is slightly more aggressive in his adjustments than the owner of the practice. I told him my right SI joint was locked up and he adjusted the crap out of it - amazing. And I'm pretty sure baby has dropped some since then.
Had my 34 week appointment today. My OB pointed out this is my last appointment "with my pants on", which made me laugh. Everything looks good, I keep losing weight but baby is growing perfectly and heartbeat sounds great. She is not head down yet, but she said they wouldn't worry about that until my 36 week appt.
I also scheduled out the rest of my appointments, which was crazy. I can't believe I only have six more weeks (or less!). I'm so nervous for some reason, even though this is number two in two years.
@gowenc Seriously, I count down the days til my next chiro appt. I'm having serious SI issues (since like...10 weeks) especially on the right, too! My doc is also more aggressive than the owner, but is also an RN...his adjustments are always so on point!
@aevan011 I have arthritis in my lumbar spine (a lovely development when I was in my mid 20s...thanks genetics), but I always feel it in my right SI joint. I guess I compensate for the lack of spinal mobility in some way that it affects that joint? In any case, until the last few weeks it has actually been fine during pregnancy - after 10 years of being on anti-inflammatories every day (that I haven't taken since I found out I'm pregnant). I'm thinking I'm just going to stick with the chiropractic care after this and ditch the drugs, hopefully!
@gowenc Ouch! Not fun! I have some mild degeneration in my lumbar, but the SI for me is 100% pregnancy. I originally started going because I have chronic migraines and my neck always tightens up. I've been going for about 2 years now and I take so many fewer meds between this and my primary care doc helping me find alternatives. I just got my brother to start going. Hope you can ditch the drugs!
I had my 35 week apppintment today. I got the strep b test and my cervix checked for the first time. She said my cervix is soft and pointed towards my spine so I'm not going into labor any time soon. She also said we can check it every week or wait until I start getting more contractions, whichever I prefer.
Just had my weekly appointment (35+6). The GBS swap was not so fun. She did a cervical check and I'm 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced, but baby girl is still at +3. I'm on progesterone for one more week. And I can now definitely deliver at the hospital 5 minutes from my house!!
We had a NST + check for amount of amniotic fluid today on the ultrasound. Everything seemed good (including my sugars). What's weird is that the NST picks up on me having contractions, but I do not feel them. Yikes. That kinda scares me. :0
@silverfrost they were probably small contrax on the nst?
I never feel any until the number on the toco is over 50 or so. I've had smaller ones than that the past few weeks on every nst but only a few over 50 that I felt.
My first pregnancy I thought about 50 hurt...then the real ones hit. don't worry, you will know and feel real labor contrax.
@silverfrost My NST picked up the same thing. I have braxton hicks multiple times a day that I do feel - I just had no idea I was having regular little ones too! It definitely is kind of lighting a fire under my ass to get the house in order this weekend.
I had my appointment today. Just group B strep (which I did myself) and heartbeat check. My doctor told me she offers cervical exams at 38 weeks, but doesn't require them and doesn't really think they are useful. Yay for keeping my pants on! My next appointment is with a different doctor at the practice cause mine is going on vacation. She wants me to come up with a really hard question for the other doctor...
@sourlemon I'm thinking they are just the little practice contractions I'm unable to feel! I actually feel the LO move, but I can't differentiate that from a contraction atm. Thank you for the reassurance. I was def getting scared, like, "What if I go into labor and don't address it soon enough?!"
@gowenc Yeah! I have felt the occasional uterine cramp-like sensation, but it's VERY occasional. So weird that there are little contractions happening too and I don't even feel them!
