  • Month/Cycle: it's too early I can't even think. I think I just hit the 1 yr mean mark.

    CD: 32

    WAYDTGKU:

R/R: So I went away for a little while because of stress and just needing to take a break from here, stalking but not posting. I just needed some time to take away any pressure.

CS/Q: ok can someone please look at my chart and tell me what they think. this is the first time I've never had aa ovulation date show and it really seems as though I didn't ovulate. I originally had dotted line for CD 24 but when my temp dropped FF took it away. so now I feel clueless. I'm thinking a call to my Dr may be needed as this is out of character for me. For the record, I haven't tested or anything because I wouldn't see how that would be needed. Any thoughts or suggestions?

GTKY: Where is the  farthest from home you have ever traveled? Cancun, Mexico for a college Spring Break. It was a great trip.

  • @busymommy23 Your chart looks anovulatory to me. Have you charted in the past and confirmed ovulation? If this is the first time, you might not need to worry -- sometimes a random month or stress produces a lack of ovulation. But if this is a pattern, then yes, you should talk to your gynecologist about whether you are ovulating at all.

Do you track CM or use OPKs (this or previous cycles)?

@adirat A friend of mine found out that her baby was soy and lactose intolerant and since she was BF she had to give up both.  She found out how many things have soy (like bread, pop-tarts, most cereals).  On the plus side, it helped her to eat healthier and lose weight - at least until he outgrew the intolerance.

  • @adirat I have charted before and confirmed ovulation, even just last month. Ive been ovulating late (cd28) the past 2 months so was anxious to see what this month meant. I'm totally confused by my chart. I've not had any EWCM this month at all and have been battling a stomach bug since Sunday. I've never not ovulated so this is something new for me.

WAYDTGKU: temping & OPK's, sex every day during FW

    R/R: It's almost Friday!!!!

CS/Q: I haven't been temping long enough to really have questions and I'm still learning what my temps do during each part of my cycle, and I'm still getting the hang of it. My timing is more consistent now, and I am patiently waiting until I have enough data to actually try and interpret it lol

GTKY: How did you come to your career path? Did you always know you wanted to be a __________ (teacher, doctor, bull fighter, whatever you are)? Did you discover it through school or through a friend/relative? Did you just fall into it?

I'm the compliance director for my firm, and we connect independent insurance agents with carriers they may not have been able to contract with on their own so they can sell without working directly for the company. I completely fell into this, as I started as an insurance agent myself. I took a job as a telesales agent for UHC and that's where I got my license, as well as meeting a former friend that helped me get hired at my current firm. The rest fell into place after I started working here. I really enjoy my work, but I have been feeling for a while that my work environment is toxic, and I'm seriously considering resigning after we actually get KU and I've gone on leave. I'm going to California next month for my CCEP designation and that will open up a lot of other doors for me since I already have my business degree.

CS/Q: What the effing eff is going on with my effing chart? trigger was Saturday night, IUI was Monday but my chart doesn't show an obvious O date.  I thought the increase on Wed was the spike but then it went down again this morning.  WTF.  On Saturday I am getting my progesterone checked so I guess I will just hang tight here until the results show that I did O.  Chart history is in siggy

GTKY: How did you come to your career path? Did you always know you wanted to be a __________ (teacher, doctor, bull fighter, whatever you are)? Did you discover it through school or through a friend/relative? Did you just fall into it?

I sort of fell into it.  I was working in sales and hated it but really liked volunteering for a non-profit and fundraising for them.  They had an opportunity available and I got the job.  I worked there for several years and now I'm at a different non-profit doing less fundraising but a lot of public education and communication.

@laurad75 That looks like a fallback rise to me.  If you put in a fake high temp for tomorrow do you get CHs for Tuesday?

  • @laurad75 Sometimes you will see a slight decrease in temp at 1-2 DPO before the temp goes back up.  It's actually pretty common but I'm not sure what causes it.

  • @laurad75  and @lulu1180 Here's some research I did:

Estrogen dominates your follicular phase and keeps your temps lower, and progesterone powers your luteal phase with higher temperatures.  Therefore a surge in estrogen will temporarily pull your temp down, hence the fallback, before rising again as progesterone takes over.

There could be two reasons - one would be an immune response that causes the initial high meaning O may actually be a day later than shown or a secondary surge once LH drops. Estrogen rises and peaks several days before O - it is what triggers the LH surge which is what triggers O. As LH falls estrogen can rise or for some as it falls it has "hiccups" where it falls rises, falls rises and continues to fall rise in ever decreasing amts.

I had no idea “what I wanted to be when I grew up” when I started college. I fell into the Energy field after I graduated with a Business/Accounting Degree. Mostly regulatory stuff. Everything from production to end use. I still don’t think “I know what I want to be when I grow up.” Lol I do like the Energy Industry; it has served me well.

@busymommy23 I think you haven't ovulated this cycle. That said, if you are sick it can delay ovulation, so if you typically ovulate late anyway, I wouldn't worry yet. Maybe ewcm is still around the corner.

@laurad75 I think FF is confused because of your higher temps approx cd6-8 (sorry it's fuzzy on mobile but I'm referring to the days of high temps early on). I think both cd13 and cd14 are possibilities. The dip today is still above where I would put your coverline.

@lulu1180 Thank you for putting your siggy gif in a spoiler.  It's amazing but NSFW so it made me nervous.

@adirat I'm sure you are right about the earlier higher temps.  I was traveling across the country so even though I temped at the same time it was still three hours off which I'm sure threw off my temps.

Thanks everyone for all your help.  What would I do without you?!

WAYDTGKU: All the things + Metformin

R/R: This is a big ol' TMI so sorry. FF has the FW starting today, but my temp steadily dropped and starting coming up on the 1st which would make our timing a solid -2. That's it. I've been telling H we need to HIO starting on CD 10 EOD so we can make sure we get the necessary days. His response? "Sex is so invasive, can't we cuddle instead?" CUDDLING DOESN'T MAKE A BABY.  And invasive? Excuse me? That actually hurt my feelings, to which he said "you're too sensitive. I shouldn't have to walk on egg shells around my wife." I had a breakdown and told him I was done trying because why should I put in all the effort when he doesn't even want to do what's necessary to make said baby.  But then I got even more mad because even if I stopped temping and everything, we still wouldn't get a "surprise" baby because H doesn't want to have sex so there's zero chance of FW sex anyway. //rantover
