R/R: Its Thursday which means I have a short work day today! Also, completely unrelated, but I exfoliated so hard this Am and now my skin is so effing smooth and I loooove it.
CS/Q: nada
I wanted to be a veterinarian since I was in like 2nd grade, as did a lot of kids. Unlike most other kids who changed their minds/got too sad about sick or dying animals/couldnt handle the billion years of schooling and massive amounts of debt, I kept at it and somehow became a vet. I am literally happy every single day that I go to work. Sometimes I am at work and I will call out an order for a crashing animal or something and have a moment of 'JFC, I am a doctor...how did this even happen? How do I know this stuff? Oh shit!' and its amazing.
CD: 3
WAYDTGKU: Temping, PNV, green tea but mostly just waiting for AF to leave
R/R: I've been in a huge funk recently. I think it's just a horrible combination of work being crazy, being sad about cycle 3 and the fact that my anxiety is always the worst during AF (I have GAD). I've been trying snap out of it... hopefully a relaxing weekend (and AF gtfo) will do the trick!

R/R: Well @SpongeWorthy they had a great year and even though I really can't be upset about it, I'm still disappointed in our loss last night. It was a great game but the plight of the Cleveland sports fan is neverending. I'm just hoping I don't fall asleep at my desk after staying up till 1 am to watch the whole game.
CS/Q: This may be TMI but wondering if anyone else has observed this. I always check CM and CP around the time I get home from work and last night thought I would check it both before and after using the bathroom to see if there's a difference. Before, my CP was high, but after it was low. I did have a BM so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. Anyone notice a big difference like that before?

R/R: Rant: I have my annual gyn visit today and I was really hoping I would be KU by now so that I wouldn't have to hear about how much weight I've gained in the last year. Note: Our original plan was to start ttc around april but DH lost his job so we didn't start until September so that seemed like a more feasible plan at the time of my appointment last year. Rave: CMAs were amazing last night and I guess it's a FFTC that I watched those instead of the world series.. except for a few minutes of flipping back and forth.
CS/Q: nope.
I am a chemist. I always wanted to go to med school and never used to be squeamish but as I got older I became that way. Even after working as a CNA for several years during high school, I quickly started realizing that I wasn't going to be able to handle med school but I was so far into my classes and still loved science that I stuck with chemistry and a biochem minor. I also have a minor in forensic chemistry that I would love to use one day but I graduated when the economy crashed so finding a job in that field just didn't work out.

My current career, SAHM, is something I wanted to do for a long time and hoped for.
Prior I had a mechanical engineering degree, worked in Marketing, Product Support, and then Product Safety for a large Ag manufacturing company. I wanted to be an Architect which long story short got me lookin at engineering and I started in college pursuing a Biomedical Engineering degree.

R/R: Traffic is still terrible with the strike so I got up and left early to avoid it. The ride was cut in half today! I have to get the house in order today for my BFF visiting this weekend with her family!
CS/Q: Got a negative OPK this morning after two days of positive so I think I will HIO one more time just to be safe. We skipped last night because we had been going ED and I felt like my H's supply was running low. Makes me nervous for this cycle that there wasn't enough "juice" to swim around up there.
GTKY: How did you come to your career path? Did you always know you wanted to be a __________ (teacher, doctor, bull fighter, whatever you are)? Did you discover it through school or through a friend/relative? Did you just fall into it? I knew I always wanted to be in the medical field, but I originally thought OB/GYN or pediatrician, but I wanted a family and I knew those hours would be more difficult. So I went into pediatric physical therapy and I love it! It has been really fun and it has enough medical stuff to satisfy me, even though I still think a pediatrician would be a better fit for me, I know the flexibility is the lifestyle I need/want more. I am going for a huge certification in the next year and a half to become a specialist in neuro-muscular disabilities (Cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury...)
@lulu1180 As far as your CP, if you were bearing down during your BM, it may have lowered your CP because of the muscles in your pelvic floor. I have no research behind that, but (due to my background) that would make the most sense to me.

R/R: So I went away for a little while because of stress and just needing to take a break from here, stalking but not posting. I just needed some time to take away any pressure.
CS/Q: ok can someone please look at my chart and tell me what they think. this is the first time I've never had aa ovulation date show and it really seems as though I didn't ovulate. I originally had dotted line for CD 24 but when my temp dropped FF took it away. so now I feel clueless. I'm thinking a call to my Dr may be needed as this is out of character for me. For the record, I haven't tested or anything because I wouldn't see how that would be needed. Any thoughts or suggestions?

R/R: Now that I'm back to avoiding soy, I found out that all my favorite Halloween candy has soy lecithin in it! Peanut butter cups, peanut butter M&Ms, Twix... what a nightmare.
Rave, though -- I think I'm going to start going to acupuncture weekly (as much as I can). I hadn't gone for a month before yesterday, and I just feel so relaxed afterward. This is the gif I posted yesterday about how I feel after acupuncture:
(I know it, too, because yesterday after my appointment, a friend sent me two links about the presidential election that were pretty aggravating and I just said, "Oh that sucks" but didn't feel it. Maybe I should plan to go again on Wednesday just in case...)
CS/Q: Nice big temp spike this morning so I think yesterday was the day! I'm so relieved that we decided to TTC again in time... what if we decided today?
GTKY: I studied program evaluation in college as part of my degree in public policy, and now I do it for a living, so that was a win!
Do you track CM or use OPKs (this or previous cycles)?
@adirat A friend of mine found out that her baby was soy and lactose intolerant and since she was BF she had to give up both. She found out how many things have soy (like bread, pop-tarts, most cereals). On the plus side, it helped her to eat healthier and lose weight - at least until he outgrew the intolerance.

Since I was in high school working as a tech in a PT clinic I knew I wanted to go into physical therapy. The PT who mentored me (hell, he's still my mentor!) is also an athletic trainer and suggested majoring in AT as an undergrad because it would prepare me for PT school. So I did, and absolutely fell in love with it! I havent completely taken PT school off the table but I enjoy what I do so much right now that I'm not interested in changing anytime soon.
I also started teaching Foundations in Health Science and Sports Medicine this year. Teaching is something I definitely fell into! Luckily I have a small class that understands I've never taught before so we are all learning together.

I'm the compliance director for my firm, and we connect independent insurance agents with carriers they may not have been able to contract with on their own so they can sell without working directly for the company. I completely fell into this, as I started as an insurance agent myself. I took a job as a telesales agent for UHC and that's where I got my license, as well as meeting a former friend that helped me get hired at my current firm. The rest fell into place after I started working here. I really enjoy my work, but I have been feeling for a while that my work environment is toxic, and I'm seriously considering resigning after we actually get KU and I've gone on leave. I'm going to California next month for my CCEP designation and that will open up a lot of other doors for me since I already have my business degree.

I actually majored in accounting and political science in college), as well as my aunt. I work for a public company and handle its reporting to the SEC. Not what I originally thought I'd be doing but I really enjoy it. When I originally applied to college I listed accounting and math Ed as intended majors but settled on accounting when I got into the program.
Estrogen dominates your follicular phase and keeps your temps lower, and progesterone powers your luteal phase with higher temperatures. Therefore a surge in estrogen will temporarily pull your temp down, hence the fallback, before rising again as progesterone takes over.
There could be two reasons - one would be an immune response that causes the initial high meaning O may actually be a day later than shown or a secondary surge once LH drops. Estrogen rises and peaks several days before O - it is what triggers the LH surge which is what triggers O. As LH falls estrogen can rise or for some as it falls it has "hiccups" where it falls rises, falls rises and continues to fall rise in ever decreasing amts.

She made a post on facebook yesterday asking other moms and pregnant friends if they ate turkey while pregnant because she knows it's bad but she just really wants a turkey sandwich and wanted other people to tell her it's okay. I'm sorry but this just makes me angry. I've never been pregnant so I don't know about cravings but I would do anything to be pregnant and not be able to eat a turkey sandwich. Plus I just find it concerning. In case you were wondering, she made a follow up post an hour later about how delicious her turkey sandwich was (eye roll) End TW**

I had no idea “what I wanted to be when I grew up” when I started college. I fell into the Energy field after I graduated with a Business/Accounting Degree. Mostly regulatory stuff. Everything from production to end use. I still don’t think “I know what I want to be when I grow up.” Lol I do like the Energy Industry; it has served me well.

@laurad75 I think FF is confused because of your higher temps approx cd6-8 (sorry it's fuzzy on mobile but I'm referring to the days of high temps early on). I think both cd13 and cd14 are possibilities. The dip today is still above where I would put your coverline.

@lulu1180 Thank you for putting your siggy gif in a spoiler. It's amazing but NSFW so it made me nervous.
@adirat I'm sure you are right about the earlier higher temps. I was traveling across the country so even though I temped at the same time it was still three hours off which I'm sure threw off my temps.
Thanks everyone for all your help. What would I do without you?!

@sheknows6 @mrs_jpThanks
@Juneroseruby Thanks -- I've had a fallback rise before but never knew why.
@beachbunnyxo123 What... that is terrible and I'm sorry you had to deal with that.
Confession, I am addicted to the TLC show 90 Day Fiance so I am very intrigued by the whole backstory, too.
@laurad75 That explains it! When I went from eastern time to pacific time my temps were all crazy high for two days.
Also, PSA for everyone, turkey isn't actually that dangerous -- the fear is listeria but listeria in turkey has only happened once. You're much likelier to get listeria from vegetables.

R/R: This is a big ol' TMI so sorry. FF has the FW starting today, but my temp steadily dropped and starting coming up on the 1st which would make our timing a solid -2. That's it. I've been telling H we need to HIO starting on CD 10 EOD so we can make sure we get the necessary days. His response? "Sex is so invasive, can't we cuddle instead?" CUDDLING DOESN'T MAKE A BABY. And invasive? Excuse me? That actually hurt my feelings, to which he said "you're too sensitive. I shouldn't have to walk on egg shells around my wife." I had a breakdown and told him I was done trying because why should I put in all the effort when he doesn't even want to do what's necessary to make said baby. But then I got even more mad because even if I stopped temping and everything, we still wouldn't get a "surprise" baby because H doesn't want to have sex so there's zero chance of FW sex anyway. //rantover

CS/Q: Can someone send me information about getting ku while being overweight? Yes, I'm trying to lose weight, working out, eating better etc. I've been doing research and it's all over the place some sites say its not that big of a deal as long as you still have a regular cycle others talk about how extremely difficult it is. I just need some reliable info, please

R/R: Well I officially switched my treatment plan this month to an IUI. So in addition to not temping I don't even have to do OPKs this month. Yesssss. I'm trying not to get too excited, but let's face it - this is the best shot I've ever had.
CS/Q:
I am an art teacher and have wanted to be one since I was a little kid. My parents used to take us to different universities for our school breaks (not going to college was never an option) and I remember being in like 2nd grade and hearing about a teaching program and I just knew that's what I wanted to do.
