Weeks uterus felt noticeably larger?

I am 10 weeks pregnant and starting to feel nervous that my uterus doesn't feel much firmer or larger yet. I have had one full term pregancy and thought I felt my uterus rising around this time with my last pregnancy. I had a normal ultrasound with heartbeat detected at 7 weeks 6 days and have my next Obgyn appointment next week to hear the heartbeat. How far along were you when you first remember feeling a noticeable difference in your uterus and thought, "wow! I really am pregnant!"

Hi, you may want to start off with an intro, seeing this is your first post. We have other threads where this post would fit in better. The uterus does not start to come out of the pelvis area until at least 12 weeks along so it's still very early.

I don't know, but I am close to 12 weeks pregnant with twins and cannot feel mine nor do I have a bump. It's my third pregnancy.

I feel pregnant only like half the time, even since my bump popped. Sometimes it feels firm (uterus?) and sometimes not. As long as your appointments are going well I wouldn't worry about it.

It usually takes a long time to "pop." I wouldn't worry at 10 weeks.

This past week I've noticed that I can feel my uterus first thing in the morning. When Im laying down I can see and feel a firm mass below my belly button. Later in the day once the bloat sets in I can't feel it. My original due date was may 2nd and then it was changed to may 20th. So currently they say I'm 11 weeks . yesterday I had an ultrasound and baby measured 12.5 weeks. I think my due date is a little questionable. I definitely did not feel any type of bump like this so early with my first pregnancy.

Everyones bodies are so different, I wouldn't worry at all.

I am 13 weeks and on Tuesday a stranger asked me when I was due so I guess I have a bump now! 2nd baby so it has appeared quicker this time round. I can definitely feel my uterus!

14 weeks and I've officially popped! Pretty noticeable.

I started noticing the firm bulge below my belly butting about 2 weeks ago when I would wake up in bed with a full bladder. It instantly reminded me of my first pregnancy 9 years ago.

Before 12 weeks your uterus is really low and hiding behind your pelvic bone. Anything you feel around your belly button is not your uterus.

@vrj0522 I'm pretty sure that's what I am feeling below my belly button. At my last appointment with the midwife, she commented oh wow your uterus is definitely growing.

Also... @fbmandy55 said she was 14 weeks and felt it starting 2 weeks ago. So both of our time lines would make sense to start noticing it now.

Well, unless you both are 18-20 weeks, that can't be right. Below is an image of where your uterus sits as the pregnancy progresses. It's also how they determine if you are measuring earlier or later.

I'm between 14 wks and 14 wks 5 days, and my doctor also mentioned my uterus is "very big" at an appointment last week. She meant it like it was a very good and exciting thing, and said yes the small firm mass a few inches below my belly button was my uterus. So idk... maybe my uterus went through a growth spurt or something. LOL

@aalbin802 - Don't freak for not feeling anything firm yet. A kind of did at 10 weeks too because I had two friends swear they could feel their uterus at that time, but I had nothin'. Anyway, I really didn't notice any change until last week (week 13), which I could slightly feel a bit of firmness.

This is my third and noticed I could feel mine rising out of my pelvis around 10 weeks but with my second baby I didn't really notice until 14 weeks so I think you are fine!

@ScientistShesus Thank you for your response. I just started panicking because with my son I thought I started to feel firmer around this week. I have two friends that miscarried recently and was getting a little worried so I thought I'd reach out to this board for opinions. I haven't shared my pregnancy with the local mom groups I am apart of yet.

Ha Wow! Just WOW! I read through the intro posts and several other boards earlier and saw how much drama there has been over "drive by posting" and people feeling attacked for asking questions without intros. I'm glad you got some good responses. That being said..you joined TB 4 years ago. In 4 years of being apart of TB you haven't figured out how the boards work? Honest question. Any (read: almost all) of the active boards/members will tell you that they're building a community and don't appreciate people using others as their personal google. I couldn't feel anything at this point with my first, and I don't feel anything yet now. I'm 11w4d. I think I was closer to 16w with my first before I could feel anything?

Which is why I said below my belly button... Like 2-3 inches below.

Everyone's uterus from this BMB is below their belly button so your comment, unless you had clarified a few inches below, is misleading and can make a first timer who doesn't know think that their uterus might be just below their belly button at 14 weeks, which is not the case.
