Ahhhhhhh. Prepared to tell my boss today during my annual review...2 min after we were supposed to meet she canceled on me and said she wasn't ready and we need to meet next week instead.
I WAS SO PREPARED! Now I have to go another week with a pit in my stomach and practice how I tell her for another 7 DAYS. Ugh.
I think I will tell her today. She saw all my anti-nausea snacks in my office yesterday and asked me about them with raised eyebrows. I didn't tell her then because there was a BUNCH of people around. Aside from that, I want to first tell the Director that I work with on a daily basis. Office politics, man!
I will mostly likely say something like "and btw, I have great news to share! I'm expecting a baby in mid-June." This way the only appropriate response is congrats.
I ended up telling my boss last week because I had to go for my follow up ultrasound to figure out if things were going in the right or wrong direction on Friday afternoon, and that is the worst day to leave early for us. I would never schedule an appointment then unless I absolutely had to. He was very understanding and I was happy to let him know on Monday that it was good news. He has two young kids so I think he will be very understanding throughout the pregnancy. I'm not going to tell any of my other coworkers until the 2nd tri because I work at home so they won't have any reason to be suspicious.
