Your randoms (and adorable Halloween photos!) Go here. GTKY: Are you participating in Trick-or-Treat this year? Are you dressing your LO (s) up? If so, as what? HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Happy Halloween! Trick or treat is tonight. Dd is going as olaf. We were going to try to make lo a snowgie (from frozen fever) but I got lazy. Plus it's cold so she is just going in her bear suit thing. It's not really for Halloween but it does look like a bear so I will just count that...
not Thursday or Friday (uo or fccc) but imnexcited halloween will be over tonight. Bring on the Christmas!!!
Little man has some gnarly looking baby acne. It looks painful but doesn't seem to bother him. I wish it would go away, he had such perfect brand new baby skin.

@LGW2015 Your little Robin is the spitting image of his mama!
@MRSCORKER Those booties! ♡ And the acne is from the estrogen in your breast milk from what my LC told me. Baby boys are more prone to baby acne when breastfed because some of our hormones are in the milk.
Both of your boys have the sweetest little faces ♡

ughhh mine too. She had such perfect skin! It's killing me. And this bs crap that says it can last til 6 months!
I always hated Halloween as an adult. Its FI's favorite holiday. I go along with him because its his thing, but secretly i just wanna skip to thanksgiving. .. better yet Christmas.
We're going trick or treating this year. DD1&DD2 are going as witches and DS is going as Optimus Prime. DD3 isn't dressing up. I used to have tons of little baby costumes but I can't find any of them! I made myself a pair of R2D2 leggings to wear.
But I'm with these other ladies, bring on Thanksgiving and Christmas!
I'm so frustrated. I'm home alone with the baby all day. He won't let me sleep, eat, pee or shower. He is basically on the boob or crying. There is no in between. We have no Halloween plans because H is working and I just feel so bummed and lonely

I bought this pumpkin outfit thinking baby would probably be a couple weeks old by Halloween and at least 8lbs....at 10 days old and only a little over 5 lbs, she's swimming in it! Couldn't resist putting her in it for the photo opp though :P
@MRSCORKER That sucks! I feel the same most days. Baby is fussy and cranky all day, and if I've been home alone with him all day and haven't been out anywhere, it can feel super lonely and boring and frustrating and blah.
Im not sure what the protocol is on how old a baby should be before you let them cry for an extended period of time...but I've definitely just had to be like "screw it" and leave Baby to cry in his RNP for a while so I could go to the bathroom or wash bottles or fold the laundry.
Some days are great and some aren't. And of course one of the bad days last week Baby cried and cried all day....until about 10 minutes before DH got home from work. Then he fell asleep and was an angel the rest of the night. Ugh.
But don't worry! I'm sure you're doing a great job, and (I've been told) it'll get better!
I AM STILL PREGNANT (and was really hoping not to be so I dont have a costume). DS is going as a puppy dog and baby has a very hungry caterpillar hand knit costume for when he/she arrives. He/she will wear it despite missing Halloween (Im envisioning Anne Geddes like photos). Hoping the trick or treating helps get baby moving.
I have about three Halloween outfits that were given to me, this one actually fits well (evidently baby girl has a large head because I couldn't fit one of the other onesies over it!) We're not going out because she's our only kid right now, but we've been having fun answering the door and seeing all the cute neighbor kid's costumes! BTW, everyone thinks she's a boy, they must not see the little tutu attached to the pants.
@mrscorker I'm so sorry you're feeling so bad! I was exactly the same with my first baby. I found sometimes just bringing him outside would calm him. Like the change is scenery. Have you tried to wear him? Might give you a little more mobility.
Motherhood is fucking hard and they don't ever warn you about it.
This two shall pass and it gets better- I know it's hard to imagine but it does!
Owen was a sea monster the extent of our trick or treating was going to Grammy and then Grandma's. I hated Halloween as a kid, but I will admit it's more fun with my own kid.
I wasn't expecting to have LO yet so I stayed home and ignored the knocks on my door while DS went out with daddy. no costume for the baby but DS was a skeleton ninja and got a TON of candy which I will be eating
We didn't dress up Johnny, he just wore his pumpkin hat and stayed covered up in the stroller because it was a bit windy. But, we dressed up Jimmy and Addy, and I will gladly share those pictures
Jimmy was Dumbo! ♡
Addy was a "Princess Vampire Bat" as she described it, but we decided she's a dingbat instead
When do you all think it's okay to bring baby out in public, ie to the grocery store, running errands, etc.? I'm a paranoid FTM but I'm also thinking that I'm going to get pretty bored couped up to home everyday.
BTW TB on my phone is being weird and adding extra lletters to words and not letting me correct it, so please excuse the typos!

We went to target on the way home from the hospital and the grocery store when LO was 4 days old. So basically right away. I just kept him in his carrier/stroller with the cover up (and still do). I made sure we both washed hands and used hand sanitizer before touching him during/after each outing and if I gave people a peek, made sure they were far enough away and not breathing on him. The pediatrician was fine with taking him out as long as we followed those precautions. She said it's good for him to get out and get fresh air.

Yea I was thinking the same thing as far as just keeping the carrier closed and hand ssanitizing, so cool. Once I get the all clear to drive and actually lift her carrier, it will be nice to do some normal things.
@kmyers228 I can't wait to be able to drive. It's driving me crazy.
I started driving again today 12 days pp. I haven't taken my painkillers in 2 days so I figured I was good. Are we supposed to wait?! Nobody told me I couldn't. I have my first follow up tomorrow though.

I go for my 2 week check up tomorrow so we'll see what they say. I haven't been taking pain meds since last weds, just the motrin, so I'm thinking it's prob okay.
I had a c-section and was told to wait 4 weeks but I haven't taken pain meds in days either and my incision feels fine, no pain at all. I would be 100% comfortable driving.

Omg if I couldn't drive for 4 weeks I would go crazy! They only told me I couldn't lift anything besides baby for 6 weeks - which really means we can't go anywhere because I can't lift the car seat. C-sections are restrictive!!
