Re: Health and Fitness Check-in ~ 10.31.16
uhhhhhh. the green stuff. eat it. I'm pretty good elsewhere. Oh. And easy does it on the candy.
2. What is your fitness goal this week?
mon - elliptical and strength, tues - swim, wed - elliptical and strength, thurs - off, fri - short walk and a long bath :-D, sat - same as fri, Sun - off
3. Any challenges this week?
I have a lot of work to do and a weekend that doesn't allow for swimming, climbing, or yoga.
4. How did you do with your goals last week?
Fitness - 100%. Nutrition - uh I ate SO MUCH this weekend. My dainty apatite and heartburn seem to disappear when I'm at parties and boy did this face see a large variety and quantity of dips. I did a lot of crudites though so I bet my actual intake wasn't all that shocking.
5. GTKY: What is your favorite Halloween candy?
normally, york peppermint patties. at the moment - I'm gonna say candy corn despite any shred of dignity I thought I had.
Bonus Bumpie Challenge: As we're all getting closer to our due dates, how about a squat challenge?
I do leg press because I feel I can control my alignment better with that at the moment. My joints are too loose and it's too hard to keep everything lined up right.
2. What is your fitness goal this week? Just be active a couple days, at least. An old colleague gave me some athletic shoes in a size 1.5 times bigger than what I normally wear to workout, either going to the gym or at home on our treadmill, since mine are too tight currently. Besides some after work, workouts, I have Friday off and should be able to do something in the morning before I start my day of errands.
3. Any challenges this week? Busy tonight going over to SIL's for a bit after work for Halloween. Tomorrow, DH is gone for some of the evening but I want to try and squeeze in some sort of workout between my afternoon doctor's appointment, a call-in meeting that I will be doing from home after said appointment, and seeing if I want to venture out after that to the grocery store... or stay home and get that workout in. Otherwise, nothing else that I know of. Oh, we may do a date night one night this week since DH leaves for hunting Friday morning, and he'll be gone through Tuesday.
4. How did you do with your goals last week? Did one workout last week, arms - which I felt the rest of the week. That was it. I was lazy and actually really tired a couple nights after work.
5. GTKY: What is your favorite Halloween candy? I have always loved Kit Kat, Twix, 3 Musketeers and the holiday Reese's Cups (them in the shapes of pumpkins and trees are SO much better)
Bonus Bumpie Challenge: As we're all getting closer to our due dates, how about a squat challenge?
Ooohh... this sounds like a nice challenge! I actually don't mind squats.

1. What is your health/nutrition goal this week?
Eat more green things. I'm primarily subsisting on cereal right now. It should probably be supplemented with a non-carb.
2. What is your fitness goal this week?
Do anything...apparently that's too much of a challenge for me already.
3. Any challenges this week?
My stones have been super active, and I just want to lay on a heating pad when they're passing.
4. How did you do with your goals last week?
Terrible. I did weights and a walk on Monday and Thursday and nothing else all week. Again...the stones.
5. GTKY: What is your favorite Halloween candy?
Peppermint patties

Same. Cook at home. Don't eat out. Add limiting candy this week.
2. What is your fitness goal this week?
Keep up with yoga. Lots of walking. Do some hiking this weekend.
3. Any challenges this week?
Don't think so. Should be a decent week.
4. How did you do with your goals last week?
Missed a yoga class because I had to work late. And we got rained on about a mile into our hike yesterday and had to turn around. But at least it was something.
5. GTKY: What is your favorite Halloween candy?
Reese's. FI spent a good 20 minutes on the candy aisle last night trying to find the perfect combination of Halloween candy. No packs with garbage like almond joys. Mix of fruity and chocolate. It's serious business.
Bonus Bumpie Challenge: As we're all getting closer to our due dates, how about a squat challenge?
When I remember/am motivated to do my squats I don't do them in up and down sets. Birth class instructor and yoga teacher both say it's better to just stay in the squat. So I try and squat instead of sit during things like folding laundry or playing on the floor with the dog.
2. What is your fitness goal this week? Today I did power yoga - I was trying really hard to do warrior 3 and the instructor brought me a roller to use for backup support but I was proud of myself being able to balance. The next two days I'm at a conference and will be leaving/getting home late so probably nothing? I will try to walk Thursday and Friday and do something active over the weekend too.
3. Any challenges this week? see above - conference with lots of sitting ugh. I sit on an exercise ball at work - how funny would it be if I brought one to the conference?
4. How did you do with your goals last week? I didn't have any so kicked butt. I have been slacking on my exercises though.
5. GTKY: What is your favorite Halloween candy? smarties! I've been eating a lot of Starbursts lately though (only the pink/red flavors).
Bonus Bumpie Challenge: As we're all getting closer to our due dates, how about a squat challenge? I'm in. Squats are one of the exercises I have been slacking on so some accountability would be nice.

Maybe local doulas or birth classes would have some recommendations on instructors in your area that are trained in prenatal techniques?
