I'm toying with the idea for Arden if this baby is a girl. Thoughts? If you hate it, please suggest other girl names that end in the hard "n" sound. I like something more uncommon, not Kaitlyn or Madison etc.

I don't care for it. I instantly think of Elizabeth Arden and the cosmetics line. It also seems to be mentioned a lot on the boards lately, I think given its usage uptick it's going to be a new name fad, not as common as Avery and Ashley, but similarly timestamped.

I like the way it looks when written, but it sounds like garden or harden to me when said aloud. I prefer the similar sounding Auden that lacks the harsh "r" sound at the beginning.

I love Arden. It's a masculine family name for us (actually, I always thought it was a male name) and we almost used it for our DS but decided it sounded to0 feminine. For a girl I think it's pretty.
