  • @Willrunforwine21 sorry for the bad ttc day. Hope your day goes as well as it can. As to being a PT- I work for a rural hospital and float. 99% of my time I do a mix of pelvic rehab/ ortho. The last 1% is acute.

@britvanhok *hi five* for being a fellow newbie. Are you dutch? I'm half dutch and the username has my dutch bingo brain circling.

@all I second the other poster about all the bfn- fx it is just testing early.

@leilac I'd say you could. It shouldn't mess with much other than leaving out one cycle where you ovulated. But see what others day- I've just started using ff after my other program updated and I no longer like the layout

TW: sorry for your loss. Not sure if you'd even want to do this but- did you input your positive pregnancy test into ff from your mc? I'm not superfamiliar with the program but the one I was using takes that into account and doesn't count those cycles when it sees the mc. Putting in the positive test may help cue it to bypass that cycle in cycle length calculations.  End TW
  • @leilac I just did some investigating. On my iphone I can hit the menu, then "chart management" then "cycles list"

from there you can de-select any cycle to not be included in calculations.
  • @kat0607Yeah, I've been looking into the caffeine more too. Trying to make at least one pro-TTC change every new cycle and that's what I'm doing next time. This morning I checked for AF like 4 times before allowing myself what will probably be that one last cup of sweet sweet coffee... ugh.

@WillRunForWine2 SS is the worst. "I am so done with it," I say every day right before looking up ridiculous shit such as "ankle pain early pregnancy symptom" on Google (which I actually looked up the other day because I am a desperate moron).

    Month/Cycle: 6/5

    CD/DPO: 34/19 (or 18)

    Timing: EOD

    Testing: BFN yesterday

R/R: **TW** Been running through all the "what went wrong" possibilities and in addition to all the stuff I mentioned yesterday I'm beginning to wonder if I had a CP but didn't test early enough to be aware of it. I guess it's better not to even know... **end TW** MH and I had one of those "TTC is ruining our sex lives and why did all the alcoholics we knew in our 20s have accidental KUs and we can't catch a break" conversations last night, followed by him expressing a desire to go to an RE sooner as if I am 35 because I am 33.5 and he is 36 and we are "close enough". So we are thinking that through as I sit here very impatiently waiting for AF because I am ready for CD 1 already and totally feel AF coming.

    CS/Q:

GTKY: If you could live in a book, TV show or movie, what would it be and why? I am jumping on @eggplantface's Harry Potter train. Because it looks cool and, special powers.
  • Month/Cycle: 8/8 (2 months with not ideal timing!)

CD/DPO: 18/2 (starting to temp next month so not 100% sure!)

    Timing: -5, -3, -1

Testing: trying to wait until i am 1 day late, so nov 6 (one million years away)

R/R: why did i ever spend so much money on bcp?

    CS/Q: none

GTKY: If you could live in a book, TV show or movie, what would it be and why? @eggplantface @Pepper16
obviously Harry Potter! And just live eternally at hogwarts :)

  • @DsMom Thank you so much! That's so helpful!

    Sweet baby boy arrived 7/7/17!
  • @Pepper16  I agree with @antoto that you could be ovulating today. Your temp today isn't actually higher than the previous 6 yet (unless you have a reason to discard that high one on CD 17)
  • @kat0607 @eggplantface @leilac I'm totally all for temping next month regardless of how crazy DH thinks I am. He asked me to "turn down the pressure dial a bit". I seriously have not been pressuring him. If I even mention sex he tells me to stop. HE is taking any affection as "let the baby making begin". Annoying. So my question is - how do I do this temping. I notice everyone does it in the morning. Is that the only time you temp ? May sound silly but is it orally or vaginally ? Any articles or advice would be greatly appreciated !!!

  • @Pepper16 @vflux33 I am laughing out loud at your Google searches, I've done the same if not worse...my left knee has been itchy today too now that I think about it, so I guess that means we're totes KU!!

  • @FLAshley there's a lot of resources out there (online and in print) but if you do a quick search on Google for "how to track BBT fertility friend", it'll bring up a Fertility Friend article covering all the basics. Someone may have already mentioned this but a lot of women on here will also recommend a book called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility". I haven't read it yet, but I've heard it's very informative!!
  • @FLAshley temping should be done in the morning before standing up or looking at your phone or anyrhing. It should also be at the same time each day. I use the Mabis thermometer recommended on here in the newbie tjread. It was like 7 dollars on amazon.  I temp orally, vaginally is an option too. FWIW I find it helped me relax a bit with DH and the anxiety over BD during fertile window. Maybe you could explain it that way. Also, read taking charge of your fertility. It is extremely helpful for figuring out chart patterns.

For all who passed along kind thoughts and commiseration today thank you so much. Sorry I'm not tagging on mobile but it means a lot to me

7/17: second IUI, 2.5 letrozole, OPK, IUI: 1 follie, BFN (count 9.5 million swimming- dont know percentage)
    8/17: third IUI, 5.0 letrozole,

  • @FLAshley What the others said about FF and TCOYF, and Mabis, but I'll add: I temp vaginally because it takes out the extra variable of if you sleep with your mouth open/closed and how that affects temps. And I would argue temping leads to LESS BSC, because you know exactly where you are in the cycle so there's no "Oh, I may not have O'd, we better keep having sex for a week." And then it becomes a chore and you're still in the dark about it all. More data = more gooder.

@antoto, your chart looks better and better by the day!

    @themrs feel better!

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD/DPO: 21/6

    Timing: -1, -3 OR -2, -4 (Please see CS/Q and help a sister out).

Testing: If AF doesn’t show up, then this weekend.

R/R: I feel like I’m experiencing my normal PMS symptoms. Really hoping that it's just a fluke.

CS/Q: Link to my chart is in my signature! FF believes that I O’ed on CD15. I’m starting to wonder if it was CD16 instead. Even if I put back the two temperatures that I discarded, my CH don’t change.
(FWIW, I discarded those temperatures because they were taken after night shift. I got less than three hours of sleep, and my sleep time was interrupted.)

GTKY: If you could live in a book, TV show or movie, what would it be and why?

I’m with @eggplantface, I want to live in Harry Potter! I love so much about the magical world.

  • @britters314 Thanks for the CS! Yeah I see what you ladies mean about possibly O today... I guess I'll see what happens with my temp tomorrow and try to HIO this evening to be safe!

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO: 28/8

    Timing: -5, -4, 0, +1

Testing: probably won't test since I started pink spotting today, which seems early. This makes me wonder if my ovulation date was wrong, though I tested positive with OPK when expected.

R/R: Started pink spotting and cramping today. Disappointed. I know I shouldn't have expected to get pregnant the first month, but was hoping. My husband and I actually decided to start trying about six months ago, but two things happened that caused us to have to delay. One he had to travel to Miami during the Zika outbreak and then he got stuck with a potentially hazardous needle at work. Sigh. We still have to get tested when I do get pregnant just to be on the safe side. But I guess even though we have only been trying for one month I feel like I lost six months. Okay, Rant over! On the rave side, I got offered a potential consulting job today which is great, a little extra cash while planning for a family is helpful.

CS/Q: Okay I've read all the intro boards and maybe I missed it but I have no idea what this means! Help a gal out? :)

GTKY: Hart of Dixie...I don't really know why but everyone seems generally happy and it's a cute town. And it doesn't hurt that Wade is hot ;)

    PS
My phone app hates the boards and previously only posted half of what I wrote!

  • UGH, I just noticed my mobile bump didn't let me see some posts, and now I feel like a dick for mentioning sorry to some but not all. I swear...it wasn't me, it was the internet on my dumb phone.

    @DsMom @shstephenson  @TalesOfASocialIntrovert  @bumpybump  @vflux33 sorry for the BFNs

  • @shstephenson Happy (early) Anniversary! Keeping my FX for a little anniversary poas magic for you :)

@eggplantface I'm so mad at myself for not choosing Harry Potter for my GTKY. That's the perfect answer!

  • @JulesDP Ditto on the HP thing! I chose Star Trek because: trekkie. But Harry potter is soooo much better. My 11 year old self would love to go to wizard boarding school.
  • Month/Cycle: 4/4

CD/DPO: 28/? (historically it would be over 10 dpo)

    Timing: ?

Testing: Well AF should come any day now so this weekend if no AF

R/R: So I had a strong feeling I was out, even had some bad cramps on Sunday but they went away and I haven't had one since (it's Tuesday am in Korea right now). I also had my usual pms boob pain, some acne (not as bad as usual), etc. Getting KU this month would actually be kind of sucky timing because my EDD would be 7/5 and my SILs wedding is 7/30. I'm a bridesmaid and we have to travel for it. Also we were going to TTA for a year because we had a talk about finances and decided that all our student loans and car payments on DH's pay is too tight and he gets a promotion in a year. But even me working part time the first year would take care of the financial stress but I was hoping to be a SAHM. Also, I didn't even  track O this cycle so I be having slightly longer cycle.

TL;DR half FX for a BFP but also realistic about bad timing

    CS/Q:

GTKY: If you could live in a book, TV show or movie, what would it be and why?

    Doctor Who!

@KariAnn 323 I'd also like the Downton Abbey era (my second choice). Also, all of my pms symptoms are pregnancy symptoms: sore boobs, weird dreams, fatigue, etc. Not to say that AF is definitely on her way but I hate it when people are like "you're totes KU" and then I get excited and then AF comes.

  • Its Monday.....

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

CD/DPO: 23/7 maybe. I'm not temping or checking cm/cp to confirm and my cycle was really short last month. I'm just tracking on my fertility calendar so who knows lol.

    Timing: -5,-3,-1

Testing: today BFN. I was hopeful that I might get my BFP if my cycle prediction was off. I'm going to give it one more try Thursday because my DH's birthday is this weekend and I would love to surprise him! But if I get another bfn, I'm waiting until Monday which is when AF is due.

R/R: I'm driving myself crazy trying not to SS! I'm having a lot of symptoms that are not consistent with normal AF. But who knows right?!? This is exactly why I chose to take a more "casual" approach to this TTC journey. I'm trying to keep my head right!!

CS/Q: not charting but curious on how often you all post in the tww threads. I have been lurking, but not sure on frequency since a new thread is created each day.

GTKY: this is hard as I'm a movie/TV junkie.
Movie:Harry Potter because why not??? Magical wizard in world and amazing people!!!

TV: Friends because I have grown up on that show and I feel like I know the characters. It would be great to have such a close knit group of friends!
  • @morgy_bee You can participate as frequently as you want in the daily threads. Some ladies post everyday and some post here and there.

  • @sbarluccico  I would probably put that kind of stuff into the "don't act like you're pregnant until you are" category and not do it just while TTC, but it's not like it hurts to do it. I guess I started exercising in preparation for pregnancy (and then post-pregnancy), but it's also just good for overall health so I don't know if that really fits what you were asking about lol
  • Month/Cycle: 5/5

    CD/DPO: 23/2 (or 3)

    Timing: -3, -1, 0

    Testing: not until 8 DPO

R/R: Glad to have last month over with, but I feel like I'm getting my hope up too much this month.  Last month was a wash because I was out of country when I ovulated. Took a long break from the forums cause of this, but glad to be back.  This month was the first time I've gotten multiple attempts, good timing, and fresh sperm all in one go.

    CS/Q: nope
