Monday Bitchfest @ myself. I always told myself I would never SS to the level that I currently am. Guys, I had a COLD. In OCTOBER...and convinced myself it was a pregnancy symptom. I went into the dirty dirty depths of the internet. I am side eyeing myself so hard right now. I truly believe that as each month passes, my crazy is going to show more and more. So much love and respect to you all who have been here for many, many months.

And whoever mentioned last week that they stalked the Weekly Grad posts back to May.....you helped further my stalking skills.

I was behind a white supremacist during my morning commute. So many racist, hateful bumper stickers. I started getting really angry, but realized that I cannot change that person's mind and anger does absolutely nothing. I feel sorry for him.

@MommytoM13 I am right there with you I promise I wasn't crazy 10 months ago but now I notice everything. It got so bad I had to take a month off from even charting to keep myself sane. I am normally very logical but this stuff messes with your brain lol.

My rant is at my mother. I seriously think there is something wrong with her maternal instincts. We convinced her to start dating (my father has been gone 6 years). She has went extreme with it. My younger sister (way younger as in still in highschool) was in a car wreck this weekend and my mother did not even leave her boyfriends house to go check on her because he lives about an hour away and she didn't want to drive all that way again. My sister is fine but still! c'mon lady what is wrong with you!

I was with friends this weekend and the topic of TTC came up. These friends are some of my closest friends, but I've been extremely private about our TTC journey so they don't know that we've been trying.

It was like TTC ignorance Bingo:
- "I want to get pregnant in X month so my leave will fall during this season"
- "you just have to relax, get drunk and it will happen"
- "you can ovulate during any time of the month"
- "you ovulate on day 14"
- "just have sex everyday for a month and you'll get pregnant"

My head exploded.

edit to add: I really wanted to help them, I love these ladies, but I didn't want to be TTC Know It All or make it obvious that we've been trying and have to talk about that in the middle of a winery.

This is probably more of a FFC but I was surfing glow for drama and there was a women posting her pee stick asking if others saw a line. (this is normal there) My issue with the whole thing is she is 8dpIUI. and they were all telling her she is KTFU. I don't post there but I could not stop myself! someone has to talk some sense into that girl, any IFer knows testing 8days post IUI is too soon if you use a trigger. WTF, science people, science! sorry end rant.

@swimsister My girlfriends are not yet TTC and so they are clueless too. But I made the mistake of telling a few close friends we were TTC so now every time I talk to them they are like "why aren't you KU yet?" Thanks, guys! I should have kept quiet...

My Monday bitchfest goes out to my neighbor who got KU with very little effort and now has a newborn who apparently likes to hang out right in front of our window and cry constantly to mock me so I never forget that my body is failing me. (That's not actually true because they don't know we're TTC but it *feels* mocking.)

@swimsister OMGGGGGGGGG. Major props to you for not revealing yourself AND for not slapping them silly.

This may be more of an UO, but I'm annoyed at all of the 1-2 cycle BFPs in the grad post. I have absolutely no problem with those ladies, will miss seeing them in TTGP, and am very, very happy for them. I'm just also annoyed.

@LuND, @hartmich and @Saralee797 Yep, right there with you all. Granted, I'm still on the shorter end of the number of cycles trying - Sunday was still rough. So, SO happy for all of these ladies. But still.

My other bitchfest is DH's work. He just got a company wide email this morning with the whole "to keep progress moving forward in the company, we have to make some cuts" line. I'm trying to not freak out, but we just moved here 1.5 years ago (from over 600 miles away) and just bought a house in April. I swear, I don't even know what I'd do if he got laid off. We should know by tomorrow, hopefully.

@swimsister - oh jeez! that's so obnoxious. I have friends like that too. Best friends in the world, they're all getting married soon, and are talking about when they'll go off BC, get pregnant, and have kids X months/ years apart or whatever. We don't want to tto anyone off to our plans either.
@hartmich @Lund - ditto! I'm getting so bitter at all these quick babies.

my bitchfest is pretty much the same... my SIL got KTFU their first month of trying and now has a 3 month old and won't stop sending pictures to everyone. And my MIL and FIL are with us for almost 2 week, and all anyone is talking about is her. Its just a constant reminder to me. DH put a pic of the (not cute - giant ears, always has bug eyes) kid on his phone screen as an even worse reminder.

I think it was just the fact that there seemed to me so many all at once, or just that I am starting to become really bitter about the whole process. I kind of felt like an ass for being so bothered by it, so I feel better knowing I am not the only one.

@eggplantface I totally get where you're coming from. I hesitate so much to say "you have to post here for blah blah months" because it's truly not about the quantity, it's the quality. I connected with some ladies my very first month here (not that any of them or I got a BFP immediately, but I digress). I've even gotten to know some of the newer ladies, and would have been happy to see those individuals post. It's such a hit or miss for me, and I just tried to say to myself, maybe there's somebody here who they bonded with and wants to see this BFP... I know this is an UO, but that's why I wish we could actually comment on the grad post - I want to just love-tit the people I don't know, and actually write a message for those I do. But I get the reasoning behind the rule, and I'll reserve my commenting for private messages I guess!

@hartmich - I am totally on the same page as you. I honestly think the number that hit late in the weekend is what affected me the most. I recognized every name that posted, and heck, I've only been here for 2months/3cycles, so who am I to judge? I honestly still debate whether or not I'd post if I were lucky enough to get a BFP, so I can't really judge others who feel welcome enough to do so. But yeah, I was definitely bothered by it, and no, I'm not proud.

I am jumping on the bitter train. *Tw* my sister got KU on her first try and had an ectopic pregnancy you. Her surgery went well and both tubes are preserved. As a sister I am thrilled she is ok and sad for her loss but as a woman ttc I am jealous knowing she can get KU when I'm having a hard time. We were also delayed a year because DH had some medical issues so though they were not trying cycles they do count for impatience and frustration!

@LuND Right!?! What is it with Moms acting like teenagers! And in regards to your UO I am right there with you. I am super happy for them but it still sucks. It does give me hope though. However it is worse for me if none get posted because I still look at them and think okay next month its me lol!

@RunRestRepeat I am in a similar situation minus the house, which I almost used as my Monday bitchfest. MH's company started laying people off a couple months ago and the other day one of the admins asked MH how many vacation days he had saved up (they have to pay you for those in our state if you're laid off before using them) and then one of his bosses implied to him he may either be laid off or sent to the mideast for an unknown period of time (common at his company--and I wouldn't be able to tag along for a lot of irrelevant reasons). FX neither of us end up dealing with this. Just what we need to add to TTC stress, right??

@KhRun17 Oh man, that sucks. Yours is probably worse than mine because at least my ILs aren't talking to me about my neighbor all the time.

Yeah, I get that this is TTGP and it's not their fault it happened so quickly for them anymore than it's my fault that it didn't for me. But 1/1s clearly didn't need any help from us to get pregnant so please spare me the thank yous, they just want to AW their BFP, and if you question whether or not you've been around long enough to post, you haven't.

I'm fully aware I am Bitter Betty and the outlier here

I know my numbers are 1 / 1 but that's only because I "started over" with this new gyno since I now have some sort of direction with what the plans are, etc. Looking at what my numbers would really be without "starting over" is a bit depressing.

@RunRestRepeat - FX your DH does not get laid off.

My Monday bitch fest is that I slept like crap yesterday and today I have a mild headache that's pissing me off. It's there just enough to let me know it's there but nothing is making it go away.... grrr

Oh I hope you get good news/don't get bad news tomorrow, I can so relate to the fear of this! My DH moved to the country I lived in for a few years to be with me, and he found a job so quickly I am in constant fear we were too lucky with the first job try and something goes wrong.

This morning I made the mistake of reading the drive by post that included the little "KU by 30" line. I get feeling that way, but there are some things you just don't say. It's no one's fault that I just turned forty-effing-three, but I really want to flip her off. Also, count me in as a Bitter Betty about 1/1s getting KU. I actually don't have a problem with anyone who participated regularly posting. But I'm damned jealous.

@vflux33 Ugh, right?! Definitely not the stress I needed. Fx that neither of us has to deal with this. I can only imagine what you're going through - DH's job is local so there wouldn't be any major transfer. I know we could get through it just fine, but geez. It doesn't help that he's already been laid off once (different company, same industry). Fx for both of us!

Thanks, @Aurora1973! It's definitely tough, but we've been through it before, so at least we kind of know what to expect. He'd be able to freelance (and all of our benefits come through my job) but still.

I'm bitter, too. TTA this month plus feeling bitter that apparently everyone in last week's tww EXCEPT ME got pregnant is making me insane. I told my husband to watch out for any Girl on the Train behavior.

@wabash15 I was doing the same thing and I saw her too. The thing is I took it one step further and looked at per profile (cause I'm bsc) and she does that exact thing pretty regularly, if we saw the same one.

@RunRestRepeat I have that going on with my job right now so I feel your pain. I have tried to find solace in the idea that I have done everything I can and the decision is out of my control. Some days that works better than others.

My bitchfest is that the company I work for is being acquired and we had to be within a certain headcount so several people became contractors and have to go through an agency but do the same job. I am one of those lucky people. After the acquisition is complete they will reassess our positions. My boss is adamant that she is fighting for a staff position for me after the fact but it's out of her hands. On top of all that today is my first day as a contractor (I found out Wednesday of last week) and we are 90% done refinancing our house so I don't know how that is affected it and all of it just annoys me. Sorry for the long post and thanks for letting me rant.

@RunRestRepeat Yup, what a coincidence--MH got laid off before too during the crash in early '09 and we had to move to another state. It took us years to bounce back. Good times! (And by that I mean totally not good times).

@adirat If MH gets laid off I may join you in TTA (or we may decide to continue TTC against our better judgment--we've been discussing both options)... I hope yours goes by fast and that you get KU immediately upon your return.

@vflux33 Thanks. I hope it doesn't come to that. Honestly TTA after TTC is SO much harder than I thought it would be. Certainly so much harder than the time we waited before. We're only on cd6 and my husband is already saying maybe we shouldn't actually take this cycle off because we both want to get pg so badly. It's a bad headspace. We legit had a conversation yesterday about whether it was feasible to move cross country with a two week old infant. That is crazy talk but we were both just like...maybe not a bad idea? Maybe worth it? No! Such a bad idea!

@runrestrepeat fx your husband does not get laid off. That is so scary especially when you just bought a house. I try to keep in mind that if one door closes another opens (my husband also tells me my optimism is annoying!)

@julesdp haha thanks. I should admit that when I read Girl on the Train when it first came out (long before ttc) I rolled my eyes several times like "why is this woman so unhinged, this is a dumb characterization" but now I get it. I get it hard core. I am only this far in and starting to get stuff checked out medically, and I already feel like I could become an alcoholic any day. (and did get drunk three days out of seven in the last week)

Although I am a newbie (this is my third or so post!) I have been a long-time lurker and 1/1s also annoy me (I am on 6/5 atm). Plus that KU by 30 post the other day hurt me too, as I also know so many people in real life who really boasted about being 'young mums' getting KU at 29...mmmmh no!

@adirat Hugs, girl. I'm sure that is such a rough place to be. I don't want to add to your crazy, but what if you TTA for 2 months (or whatever) and then did get KU right away, but then baby came 2 months early? I just don't think it's a bad thing for you and your H to discuss that "what if's" because life doesn't always go the way we plan it. I know that you guys are doing what's best for you and your family, but it doesn't hurt to have a plan B in case there's a slip up or something else unforeseen.
